That LT1 engine in the 1997 Z28 will disappear quickly as soon as it's moved to the yard to be picked over. Very rare to see any V8 F-Bodies in a pull-a-part style yard.

Thoughs wheels are ZR1 style and the spoiler is a Camaro SS spoiler hood also. Thoughs are worth the resale let's not forget about the tunable Borla exhaust it has.
LT1's and optispark's last forever. I live in the Chicago land area and they go quick. The bad rap optispark's get is complete garbage. Fix your grounds and plug wires. The people who blame the optispark are incompetent mechanics. If you can't get over 400K miles out of an LT1 you are a moron. You'll be needing lifters or a cam on an LS1 by then.

We got the SPID, glad we did: 2G1 for Canada made Chevrolet, F for F body, P for Camaro, 2 for two door hatchback, 2 for for manual seat belts with driver and passenger air bags, P for the 5.7L "LT1" V8 with fuel injection, 1 is a check digit, T for the 1996 model year, 2 for St. Therese, Ontario Canada assembly (all 93-02 F body cars were made there), and the rest is the production sequence. 41U is black exterior paint, it is a true Z-28 as that is shown on the SPID, AU3 is power locks, A31 is power windows, A90 is remote deck release, C60 is for air conditioning, CC1 are for removable glass T-tops, etc.

In all my years of boneyard hunting for my 97 T/A I have seen numerous Z/28 's (LT,'S) and only one T/A and one Fornula I picked what I needed from each car and left need to make another trip sometime soon as I'm always looking to make my car the best that it can be!
I have personally put an 82 TA, 87 Formula 350 and a 92 Camaro RS in the junkyard. Pushing it to the razors edge....and found it. Frames bent. Blew every window out of the 92 and 87 on impact. Im not done. I rear ended a Dodge Durango today on my bicycle ;)
Had the same exact hood on my '94 Kandy Orange Z28. SMH...Never find parts like this at my local yard. I would have got the wing, the hood, & all 4 rims.
Yea first time seeing one with a one of those hoods in a salvage yard that wasn't destroyed. It was gone when I went back a few days later. I don't like buying from tar yard though as they tend to be on the high side.

The problem is people will pick out say a 20 year old rad hose and smash up something to get at it that looks innocent but doesn't exist like a dash pad or a glove box or a peculiar solenoid or a scuttle. Those cars have rear euro lights, illegal in UK to have red blinkers, must be amber .. $250 - $300 for a crack free set? Looks like heaven to me.

at a junkyard near me a few years back, I saw a 97 Camaro SS, and it was a true SS, hood, airbox, wing and also checked the RPO codes. snagged the hood, airbox and wing for $175, turned around 3 weeks later and sold everything for just over $700. Pretty sure that junkyard didnt know what they had.

That is NOT an SS. Its a Z-28 that someone added a 98+ SS spoiler and a fake SS hood to. It does have some chrome ZR1 wheels though.
That's not a catfish spoiler, they have a thing in the middle that is a oem spoiler
