    The best vehicle for real drivers, and non-posers. What a genuine review! I've got mine a year ago and everytime I drive it, I still feel like a lil kid.

    • @ChefMvnDown
      @ChefMvnDown 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      it isnt.

    • @myrightcar2763
      @myrightcar2763  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, this was the base 2.0. There was noticeable turbo lag in low revs in the standard driving mode. Sports mode was much better. Best to go for a test drive and see how you feel about it. Some like the burst of turbo as it can give off a sense of rush, but others like a more smooth feel.

    • @TheDonshaz
      @TheDonshaz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lag is not an issue at all. All these motoring journos all like to say the same thing. Go test drive one. If youve ever driven any modern turbo hot hatch you wont notice any lag. If youre a keen driver the revs will be over 2,000 anyway and the turbo will be ready to go.

    I purchased a Porsche 718 2.0 last year in exactly the same colour but with silver alloys. My car also has the PDK gearbox, sport chrono pack and sports exhaust. I previously owned a 2005 Porsche 987s 3.2 S. A lot of Porsche enthusiasts do not like the flat 4 engine and believe it goes against the Porsche heritage etc. Having owned both a flat 6 and flat 4 Porsche I can honestly say they are both great cars and great engines. The flat 4 doesn’t sound like the flat 6 that’s obvious and to be expected. But the flat 4 still sounds great and especially with the sports exhaust and chrono pack. Regards the 718, having owned one for 10 months I can safely say what a brilliant car it is. The base model 2.0 delivers 300bhp and with the PDK box you get 0-60mph in 4.7 secs! The handling is phenomenal, the steering is so direct and is the overall driving experience is brilliant. The 718 looks great and especially in the sapphire blue it gets a lot of attention. All in all the 718 is a great car and the flat 4 engine is worthy of the Porsche badge.

      How do you rate the reliability of the 4 cyl car ? What is the approximate maintenance on this car per year ? Just curious to know.

    • @olasek7972
      @olasek7972 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rami if he bought it new last year his maintenance cost could as well be at ZERO. I also intend to get this car (Boxster) and Porsche is known for very modest maintenance costs.

    • @geezman1
      @geezman1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rami - I would rate the reliability of the car very high. I have only done circa 2k miles since I have owned it, but the 4 Cylinder engine is excellent and I have encountered no issues, nor do I expect too! Regards maintenance, the service intervals are very good, however I will likely get the oil changed annually just as a personal preference. I did need to replace one of the rear tyres due to a puncture which cost £240 (circa $310). The MPG is good to, I believe you can get it around the the mid 30’s if you drive it steady. But even when driving more aggressively the MPG is good. All in all, the regular maintenance costs are not much more than a regular vehicle, it’s just parts such as tyres which cost a little more.

    • @olasek7972
      @olasek7972 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      geezman1 I have 2020 Porsche Macan GTS and with 4000 miles the only expense was ... a punctured tire. It was expensive to replace it ($460). Some mechanic patched it up for me but he could only plug it, not do the patch-plug thing, I decided to replace the tire since otherwise I would lose its speed rating.
