      I think they need to be an official interpreter. Ours was recommended and booked by our agent

      Mortgage interest payments are tax-deductible, which is hundreds a year saved on taxes. It gets spicy if you're on rented land but own the house (erfpacht). Erfpacht is fully deductable (originally to make the farmers even richer).
      I had a 190K mortgage and a € 918 erfpacht payment a year and I always got the maximum possible tax deduction for my income. Ussually got back € 1100-1300 worth of tax rebate each year.
      Mind you though: you front the money, then get it back from income taxes later, so what you pay january - december 2022, is refunded in roughly june 2023.
