    i think the „diplomatic-ness“ you mention about the makelaar is sort of a Dutch cultural thing (which i’ve noticed in other settings) but I think it’s interesting that it extends to the real estate sector

    Hi Leesa, thanks for the informative video. Will you film a house tour video? That would be very helpful to get an idea of how much you paid for your house and in which city/neighborhood you purchased your home.

      Glad you found it informative! I don’t want to share the location of my home for privacy reasons, only that it is 15-20 mins by bike/bus from the centre. In the next video, I will share some clips of our place when we first got the keys!

    Thank you ❤but i was told they only give upto 70% mortgage of the house price nowdays ?

    • @LeesaYu
      @LeesaYu  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No that’s not quite true! You can borrow up to 100% of the property value. The issue is that some people may overbid an amount that is above the property value. That means you have to pay the difference out of pocket yourself. Hope that clarifies!

      It depends on your income as well. In my case, a large portion of my income is in stock, which required me to get a private bank loan and they would only cover 70% of the home value.

    any reason where you decided to get a mortgage advisor from an agency like OHAO instead of a bank?

    • @LeesaYu
      @LeesaYu  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, we felt we would get more options and more chances of a favourable mortgage when dealing with a broker (whereas with a bank, you would only get options provided by the bank itself)

      It’s hard to say, but we plan to be here for at least another few years before we reassess our life. That’s why buying felt like a more logical decision for us :)
