One ear stoped working for me and I was searching for a fix. Followed the guide and tried to push down the connections with the orange label, and push on other connections. Tried turning the headphones on while disassembled, couldn't hear anything. But once I assembled it again it started working.
This "music" to a headphone repair guide!? It destroyed both my ears and my qc35. Thanks...
Why did you remove the orange tape? Did that fixed the failure in one ear?
This comment is quite late, but I just did repair myself and it solved the issue for me.
The problem in my case was that the volume up button was stuck so it would endlessly make a beeping noise. Disconnecting the orange cable worked.
My guess is that the orange cable connects the volume control/pause buttons to the headphones.
It would be great to see a teardown of the Bose A20 noise cancelling aviation headsets to see how they work and are assembled.
Thanks! This vid helped me fix my headphones. There was a rattle in the right side. I disassembled it, didn't find anything loose, then reassembled it. For some reason that fixed it. You just saved me some bucks.

yeah, at least i know how to disassemble the headphone but one hinge is broken on mine (was drunk and i've sit on it...) there is a lot of wire to de-solder i was expecting it to be complex but it's way more complex than i imagined it. one thing to say about it... you probably have a cellphone do a lot of photo! it's free and help a lot to put the right wire at the right spot!

Heyy, i have the qc 45 ll and the noise cancellation isnt working as it used too (it seems to be stuck on low noise cancelling) I tried everything popping the ear pads back on, properly, software update, reboots... idkklk what to do !! Please help

Hi, QC35 II showing a wired problem,
1) when its connected with wire switch is off then both ear are just working fine.
2) When its connected with wire switch is on then left ear is working fine but right ear some voice is not coming(human voice or similar frequency ) but music(instrument) are just working fine.
3) When it's connected with bluetooth the only left ear is working.
Could you please suggest what could be wrong here.

I mean, he did not repair anything. Nor did he disassemble the unit all that much.
He just opened the lid, scraped off the glue that was holding the PCB with the charging port and then proceeded to reassemble the headphones.
There was no point really in that video.
And he did not reapply the glue afterwards or anything.

I have my Bose QuietComfort 35 ll and is one month Bluetooth conection is not working, I did all step to set it up but no working. My headphones works fine with cord and has well noise cancelation. I press a hold power on button and just start to blink white color and I'm not able to connect to any device via Wireless. Where can i gat support of this? Bose site says same alway that warranty is not active any more. I dont want change headphones but I would like to fint how to solve this issue

Bad camera work, and why remove connector from Bluetooth side and then reapply shell without replacing?!
I have a situation where the buttons are jammed, it's making the headset inoperable, but it works if I disable the buttons by pulling that ribbon cable. The bluetooth and power switch still work fine. The downside is that it will no longer have on board volume control.
At 6 min 9 sec. The part you are about to remove. When I unplug the ribbon the headphones start working. But when I plug it back in it stops and disconnects. Any ideas... help appreciated
Guessing, a short had occurred, unplugging removed the short. Look out for moisture or corrosion.
It is pity that part of the time the part which is removed\treated is out of the frame instead of being in the middle of the frame, Really?!

What a shit ass headphones never buying qc35ii i cannot understand how a product can be so bad done.
I have just the 35, except for the switch not always switching off, and having worn them to the point that the part that is supposed to hold the muffs in place, mine are great. I have had them I think 6 years and they have seen extreme use. The sound is still great.
