  • Attack In Broad Daylight It Came Right At Me
This morning I had a giant wild boar attacking my fence and trying to get our pet pigs, when I confronted it, it charged right at me. This was a crazy experience to say the least. I made a good hit on it, lets see if we can find it now.

OK based on the slow-mo I'm guessing you got him 2 inchs below the spine and 4 inches behind the shoulder blade-NICE 1. Guessing he won't last long. LOL, your little daughter's running commentary is so funny. She's such a little wild child!

Certainly looked like a lung-shot with blood that bright.
Was it missing BOTH Ears, or just the one?
In Oz they often cut off one ear at the same time they castrate 'em so they are easier to spot which are still edible after they've grown.

Brandy you need to be protecting yourself!! Because you don’t want a wild hog to charge you! I’m so glad Sean was able to get it this time and that you found it. God bless! You should get a cage like Daniel Arms has I’m sure you could get it setup on your property and get all the wild hogs dealt with at once! That way you can have your family and livestock protected! You cannot get them dealt with at once, Oklahoma is overrun with these feral hogs. You get as many as you can though! You can build a trap out of cattle panels and t-posts. Residents can also get permission to night hunt for them which is great.

A pig will take one look at a person and be out of there. "Packing" firearms? They are not a toy. And the temptation to have a ping at a pig is a definite possibility, and in the unlikely event of it being hit the chances of wounding with a pistol are high. At which stage some pigs will want to retaliate, and if they do go over onto the offensive, than they can become nasty.

It gave us the exclusive rights to catch hogs live, with hog dogs, or shoot in season. We fattened, neutered and gave them any meds needed. They tame up but those boars are dangerous. We used to take the big boat heads, stake it on a fire ant mound. Come back in a month & collect cleaned skulls. The boars loose all Thier fight ( & taste) after they are cut. They carry brucellosis as a general rule. Don't handle raw meat with bare hands.

BBQ wild pork dinner delivered right to your gate. Add hi speed lead.....then add propane. A gift from God of fresh meat!
Is better if you have a 30-30 or 308 carbine. Heck. A single shot 12 or 10 gauge would do it with proper ammo.
I see a H&R ten gauge in your future.

Great shot Dutch, I agree..Brandi needs to carry when feeding the animals cause you never know what you'll be confronted with. Always be vigilant.
I'd put some panels on the backside of the pig pen for added security for the pet piggs.
God Bless Y'all and be safe.

👍Brandy please carry a side arm for you and the girl's sake. The wild hogs are mean and extremely dangerous. The tusks are used to slash at an opponent. Here in So Flo we have a lot of them. They will attack without warning and can cause serious injury.

Brandi....he is right about this one girl. Get a hip holster that your comfortable with and carry anytime you go out. It's just not hogs to worry about. If you and girls are walking and one girl stops and freezes because she is 3 ft from a poisonous snake, you would want a gun. Dutch, that mess behind the hog pen you thought was a bunch of tracks his where he was rooting up the ground. They can tear a place up over night. It's awful. Good luck, great video again, thanks a bunch.

Fantastic shot! You should get you an Anatolian Shepherd Dog to help protect the homestead too. Their bite force is 730 psi. They are actually called Kangals. Freaking awesome livestock guardian dogs. Could help Gabby and Gracie. :) @KeepingItDutch

Yes...I've seen videos of the Kendals in action...fantastic dogs...or have u seen the latest Police dogs: Belgium Malinois!!! They look like giant, aggressive shepherds, but they love to jump and climb fences, trees, buildings, anything that gets in their way of their target!!! Check them out...

@@katherineleonowski7289 Malinois are epic! It's true. They are very active dogs. I am very familiar with them. My Aunt owns a training/breeding business for German Shepherds. She trains top of the line Shepherds for all kinds of stuff, like police work. :)

  • @miguelperaza6615

Always train kids with a lever action rifle, preferably a 357 , when shooting always squat ! never shoot standing at a target , Its easier low profile shooting making the target more whole and thus securing every shot without a miss . Have wife always carry a lever rifle , 44 mag is also good for bigger pigs 🤨 teach kids to climb trees with a tactical belt.👍

  • @crmfilling1960

Vigilance is best always carry something is better than nothing. Wild hogs attack with zero mercy. You hit one, and it might charge more, so get it before it gets you. You definitely need cameras out there to see potential dangers. Great shot and find. I'm like Brandy after a couple hours. I don't think I would eat it either. I'm glad all worked out safely and quickly.

The meat would be fine. When hunting sometimes the deer or hog may be dead all day or the next day before finding it. I don’t think i would eat one after laying out all night but this one would have been fine.
