After doing this routine only 4 times in 2 weeks my kicks got 10x better. Amazing
I just started 2 days ago already feel a difference
My dad was a martial artist. I asked him to teach me how to kick and said stretch first so here I am. I’ll keep y’all updated on my flexibility after a month of doing this everyday
I’d recommend not doing it everyday. Similar to lifting weights, if you do the same routine every day you can end up negatively impacting your results.
Aim for 3/4 times per week with a day off between each one for recovery.
@@WarriorMartialArts I’ve been doing this and another 30 minute stretch video everyday and I’ve never felt better
@@drink_milk4506 yeah my dad said every night if I can. I’m also an athlete and want to throw high kicks so I think it won’t hurt but we’ll see
@@drink_milk4506 Which one?
@Dzidane the thing about these "i'll update you guys in the next few months" comments is they never actually do lol
Finally, a man who is doing stretches, the same way I do it since I recovered from paralyzation illness as a child and I still do today at age 57, I am a martial artist, all my life, started at age 4, paralyzed at age 6, healed at 9, back into it, these stretches prepare you for advanced stretches which is why I am still doing splits at my age and still have the same speed as when I competed years ago, this man knows what he is doing.
Appreciate you sir. Glad to hear you are still getting that work in 👊🏼
@@WarriorMartialArts , Thank you, I appreciate you and your amazing!.
just know you’re still reaching people with this!!! I just unlocked a whole new level of mobility thanks to you!!!
Thank you for this, needed that as I'm starting mma and my body is super stiff. I've promised myself to do this routine every day.
Thank you so much for this video, I can't tell you how much it has helped me. I'm 41 and have been studying Taekwondo for the last 6 months, my mobility has (so far) prevented me from kicking high and having proper technique on lower kicks.
I've been trying to do yoga videos with little to no progress and was beginning to think I was wasting my time. Then I came across your video about kicking and mobility and it made so much sense. The issues you discussed in it resonated with me and I tried the stretches in it and immediately felt the difference. Then I found this one and for the first time in years I can do a seated forward fold and touch my toes, so thank you.
Do you think you'll ever get time to create another video for those of us who are still struggling and working to improve?
Take it easy and thanks again!
Thanks a ton for this. I needed a concise routine that ticked all the boxes and this really hits the spot. 63 and trying to progress in capoeira basics. I can see from the other comments that several people have had really good results applying this routine consistently. Much appreciated!
I’ve been using this video for a long time now my favorite stretch video for legs by far
I cant thank you enough ive been trying to do the middle splits for so long but i couldnt i always dancers stretching routines but when i did this i FINALLY got it thank you so so much!!
I’m still a beginner, I started week ago and I had 2 tkd classes for now, today is my 3rd class and i’m so excited that I started before going to my class, this works so well and also the back of my knee was hurting me for 3 days and now it doesn’t hurt anymore idk how
thanks
Jesus I really needed that, been out of practice for a while now and I feel loose and fluid again.
Thanks a lot 👍
A very effective sequence.
Thank you for making this video.
I love working on stretching sessions like this.
🙏Thank you so much
Thank you so much for this video. It is priceless and really gets be focussing on the right parts of the body and the right stretches. I really love your style of video.
Thank you!
Felicitaciones
The best stretching routine I've ever seen on TH-cam, very minimalistic, relaxing, simple and clear. I can feel a solid stretch, it will definitely improve my kicking techniques
Appreciate the support. Still blows me away how many people have found this routine useful. 🥰👊🏼
Awesome stretching drills!
Im glad i found your channel
I am a first degree in taekwondo and have really been searching for a good stretching routine to implore kick height and jeez this routine has to be the best and the most painful but right after I feel super loose and my kicks have actually seen improvement after just two sessions. Def will be continuing
Wow my hips are so tight! Thank you for showing these stretches, hopefully I can kick higher now!
Stick with it mate. It takes time! Glad I could help 👊🏼
How was your progress?
@Jack How are you doing with it
That felt good.
Thanks!
Thank you! I found it very useful
Thank you for this video!!!
i look for a lot of videos in order to improve my flexibility, but when it comes to streching, I always come back to this video. He doesn't try to be Yoga with Adrienne like other stuff (which makes that video gold) and it's also clear about what to do. My english is probably not good, but one thing: that video is diamond. Thank you for that content
Thank you for the video ❤
شكراً لك على التمارين الرائعه ❤✨
letss gooo back at it
I've been pretty sore in the hips/groin/hamstrings area since starting muay Thai, this is great - thanks
stretches dont cure soreness
@@chechenadamskii4308 he is saying that he had tight joints and that causes pain, so improving flexibility would help him
@@chechenadamskii4308not with that attitude they dont
@@chechenadamskii4308stretching relaxes the muscles which helps with recovery so it actually does
Been doing this stretch on and off for the past year and a half and.... i've never felt looser. I was about 245lbs when i started my journey and did this with a strict routine, and let me tell you i was more flexible than i am now at ~210 as work has left me a bit more inconsistent 😂 even then, twice a week is enough to keep me agile and limber!
Thank you so much for spreading your knowledge with us. Hope you realize how instrumental you are to people's muay thai and/or weight loss journey. Well at least you were to mine!
So happy to hear you've had so much success with your weight loss and fitness journey. Glad I could play a small part in that, well done!
@@WarriorMartialArtsyou got me sweating doing this bro. I’m gonna start doing this every day because right now I’m not flexible enough for kicks
I’m only 5 days in and I can tell a massive difference ❤️
Yeah it works quick aye. The last few stretches kill the side of my hips though
@@oscarurbinder4707it cramoped and hurt so much 💀I hope everything is alright
The best, most clear, and most concise stretching routine out there.
I appreciate that 👊🏼
My split had the range of a pizza slice 😬
I've gone up to a slice and a half.
best martial arts stretching routine on yt
I've been doing your routine for a couple of weeks now
I really wish you put a few more videos to complement so it' snot always the same
thanks man
Thanks man. I’m glad you’ve been benefiting from it. I plan to return to making regular content for the channel this year, along with a couple of updated stretching routines.
Great routine
Thank you
I have been doing this for a month every night, yesterday I dislocated my knee. Stretching is important but it's also important not to overdo it or you'll end up like me lol
Sorry to hear about your knee! I did a video recently discussing dealing with injuries and training. Rest up and I hope you have a smooth recovery.
I sometimes have knee problems whilst stretching aswell
Ive been using this video for around 5 months to train my splits and ive gotten so much deeper into my splits. I'm like an inch away from the ground
Thia is great. Thank you
Thanks
really good
gracias hermanO!!
So helpful
Doin this routne for the last two weeks. Everytime I can go deeper. Kicking mobilty gets better everytime. Amazinggg!!
How many sets and reps?
@@kunalpurohit1096 was just following this video. Buuuut must say that just static stretching only worked in the start. Now I do dynamic stretching combined with strength mobilty and static and foam rolling at the start of the sesh.
But for how many reps and sets?
I did everything as in the video, THANKS my range of motion has improved. Now I have to do it everyday
Glad I could help 👍🏼👊🏼
Thank you for this stretch man. I've been doing it most days / everyday for 5-6 months, and I have seen tremendous progress in my flexibility!
So glad to hear it’s helped you 🥰
Can you do splits yet?
@@dero5466 yes i could, after doing It consistently for 2-3 months. I did it every single day, but that may be a little overkill. 4-5 times a week is probably better
@@ezas7496 dang dawg. My splits is getting better my nuts are ab 2 feet off the ground ish so not too bad
thank you this is the best strech for my lower body i break a sweat literally 🙏🏼
Glad I could help 👊🏼
Starting mma because my cousin is trying to teach me. He told me to stretch and train cardio to start so here I am. Cant believe my body is so tight
What do you mean by 'Tight'
Good ones !!! My shoulders gave out at the end
no one comes back to update their comments so i will let you guys knew how well this helps i am extremely tight and has the flexibility of an old man after gaining weight from weight lifting and wanting to get into martial arts will let you know guys know how i’m doing in a month💪🏻

New to the channel. Do you have any kicking drill videos in the archives? ✌️
Thank you for this video 👍
You are very welcome
@@WarriorMartialArts thank you 👍👍🌹
I'm not so good at stretching, I can't reach my toes with hands - but it is way easier with the right leg. When I do it with my left leg like in the beginning of the video, it's flat on the ground and I start reaching my toes - I feel very sharp sting right in the middle of my calf... It's not the case for the right calf though. And this pain only happens during this exercise, I remember it being there a couple years ago when I first tried it (and then stopped doing this exercise again)
Thanks man
My pleasure. Updated version coming soon!
I do this 2 hours before muay thai training its super
It's a good video. I subscribed to the channel
Thank you :) New content coming soon!
After watching about a dozen videos on stretching this has got to be the best…. And the most painful jeez
Gracias amigo me sirvió bastante lo voy a aplicar en mi academia de taekwondo 😀
If i do this a day before weight training i will reduce my gains or even get injured? Or its ok?
Although it was hard, I enjoyed ❤
👊🏼🥰
Hello and thank you for posting this video! I am trying to learn the kazotsky kick and you always have to stretch your legs beforehand. I was wondering, do you know any good leg exercises for someone trying to learn it?
/stretches
Thank you for the video! Just wondering, are you spposed to feel a stretch in your lower back as well when doing the stretches where you reach for a foot? I'm not sure if I'm doing it right if that's not supposed to happen.
I often tell people 'you'll feel the stretch where you need to feel it' meaning, if you have tightness in your back, it's going to show it's self with a routine like this. The stretch is not designed to stretch the back, but if you have tightness there, then you'll get a stretch. As long as it's not painful, and doesn't feel unnatural, you are probably fine doing it.
I’m 52 had some low back problems.. I’m so behind the 8 ball on this.. But I’m not giving up yet on anything. Gonna be ripping some mean Muay Thai kicks at some point soon..
One question:
If you already stretched before, can we do this like once a day? Or 4-5 times per week like you said in one comment.
Great..😍.please More. You are verry sympatic Typ. Have You Basic Training for allone to Home for Muay Thai or another Fightarts? iam a Drummer and i surch the flexible Bodyprogramm. And i love MazerialArts.
Sorry, my English.
Michael from Frankfurt/Germany
Thank you so much. It hurts so bad, but you know what they say: “No Pain, No Gain”😂
Just make sure it’s the good kind of pain 👊🏼
Gonna do this and update once a month
Don't forget to warm up before stretching! adds an extra 5 minutes but that's a small price to pay for protecting you from injuries.
What sort of warm up
Good work bro ❣️ Keep it up 👌 Jaiii Hind
just started doing BJJ and i knew i was stiff as a log. but this migh help me with that, thanks
Yes!!! Thank you!!!! 1Nation4Life
Day 1: did all exercises except everything from 13.08. Couldn’t reach toes or bend the back as in video.
Day 2: same as above but attempted box splits for a few seconds. Could reach to the toes now but needed a lot of effort. Couldn’t bend the back towards the foot for the first few exercises but it was slightly easier than yesterday.
Day 3: I've quit
If you switch up your stretching routine could you do it everyday?
damm this is intense, i literally started sweating
I do BJJ, would this stretching routine be helpful for me for BJJ and would I do this before or after training, thanks 😀
Great video ! Many thanks for it. Doing this 15 mins + some dynamic stretches 6 times a week, is it enough to obtain good flexibility for kicks ?
It's a great start. Ensure you are inserting rest days from intense stretching after 3 days in a row. 👊🏼
@@WarriorMartialArts how many rest days in between?
@@PopDaBop I’d do this routine every other day. So 4x a week to start. If you feel like you plateau, then you can increase it and take a rest day every couple of days
Did this for the first time right now and it felt harder than my 2 hour weight session even though my split was even near his range!
Then you are doing it correctly 😉
Started this on 1/16. Will be back in a month to update on results! Plan on doing it 3 times a week.
Brother how is it going?
@@dejozmaj Missed the date! It’s helped a lot with my flexibility, highly recommend doing it, but you’ll also need to pair it with strength training if you have weak hip flexors like me.
Nice bro, what do you do for hip flexors?@@AwdyNuff
@@AwdyNuff Good job bro, how often are you stretching and what do you do for hip flexors?
But for how many sets and reps after kicking workout?
Day 1:I just realized how tight I am,couldn't finish the whole workout, it's painful, let's see in the next day
Day 2: I'm realy happy !!! I could finish the workout, I took dome rests but at least I finished it, feel awesome after the stretching section
Day 3:i didn't stretched today because I still sore by the Last day, but in my shadow boxing section I see that the speed of my kick and my balance improved
Day 10: the height of my kicks improved, i can front kick in the height of my clavicle and my roundhouse in the height of my lower chest
Day 3?
Well done on the progress 👊🏼
i could barely do most of the stretches, also they look very easy to do, but are very hard to do for me
I have a question on a few things if your able to answer them?
Should I do this daily or 3 times a week?
Is it okay to do this more than once a day?
Today is day 1 of my stretching journey!
FYI, I'm 19 yo gym enthusiast and although I look quite decent I have always been stiff and not as flexible as I would want to be.
I will keep you informed
Bro I've been doing this for 5 days now, i think i get more flexible than I was, but it definitely needs to work more on than, i think 2-3 months at least for a noticable result. My sexual droved harder after doing these exercises though 😅😅😅 So be careful with it 😉😉😉 lol
@@Tastefulandquick yep, I also feel better
@@Martin-mq5oi 😂😂😂 good luck with it)))
@@Tastefulandquick thanks. You too mate :D
@@Martin-mq5oi how's it going?
hey quick question, why the look backs during the middle stretches?? what muscle are they stretching??
Hey Emma, I’m assuming you mean when I go down towards either leg whilst in the split position?
If so it’s basically just to intensify the stretch at one leg. It allows you to get a deeper stretch without having to take your legs any wider.
If that’s not what you meant drop me a time stamp and I’ll try my best to explain 🙂
You're the best thank you! It's my first day. I cannot make a high kick. Will let you know about my progress ❤

Is this workout good for those who doing stretching for the first time 😟
Great video how many times a week should I do it, would it be too much to do it daily ?
daily is fine :)
am i the only one who stretches first before doing this stretch 😂
Haha! Pre-stretch to prepare for the stretch 😂 love it 🙏🏼
01.01.23
Started today. I will update !
👊🏼
For how long do i need to stretch to start seeing results and be flexible enough to throw high kicks with ease
You can follow a routine like this one 3-4 times a week. You should start seeing small improvements within an 6-8 week period. But similar to lifting weights to gain strength, it's a long term goal that just takes consistancy. The more you do it (within reason) the better your flexibility will become. Just make it part of your lifestyle and you'll soon see results
@@WarriorMartialArts thanks brother
I am new in Kickboxing and wanted to ask if this helps me to kick higher or should i add more stretching exercises.
This will help you. Do this daily if you can
Thats hurt to much but i have to do it
