I own Vstrom 250, I get a mileage of 37-38 kmpl in city (light traffic) and 39-41 kmpl in highways cruising at 80-100kmph on highway. Done 10k KM and cost of service is 1300 Rs to 1800Rs and once every 5000 km. Seat is comfortable for almost 300-400 km after which I could feel the pain.. might be because of my age :) ( I'm in my late 30's). So far I am happy with the purchase moving from 125cc to 250 Vstrom. I have my friend who sold his Old classic 350 for the Vstrom and he is enjoying it a lot. Hope this helps.
i have a query regarding v strom 250 , My v strom becomes buzzy and i can feel vibrations on foot pegs and handlebars on 2-3rd gear on 3000-4000 rpm but the moment i go on higher gears the vibrations disappears,do you have similar issues ?
Great comparison. Could relate to the discussion points. After being RE fan for 10 yrs and 3 yrs with Dominor 400, I got Ktm 250 adv. Mileage 32. Took some time to get used to the engine as it's rev happy. But once there, it's quite fun. Spares though slightly expensive, attention is better atleast in chennai service centers compared to Suzuki.
Recently came from 30 days long north east ride on my vstrom sx 250 ...during this 5700 kms. Long ride on different terrain ( highways, hills and offroad as well )...i got the overall mileage of 42 kmph during the whole journey..which is amazing for a 250 cc engine.
Its refreshing to watch a review where you have added a point of where the buyer of the bike is coming from. No one adds this point and so we get perspective of long term riders who usually don’t appreciate small bikes to the full extent. 👍
I ride vstrom and clocked 16k plus kilometres till now. I'm really happy with the bike and it's performance. Very much comfortable for long rides. I rode around 900kms a day on it and had adv 390 for company and never felt slow as we cruising at around 100-120kmph..and another ride of around 800kms on a single day with no complaints. fuel economy is good and I'm getting 36 to 38kmpl on Highway and maximum FE I got was 43kmpl. Service cost and spares are really affordable. Previously I owned CBR 250r and just like the honda ,vstrom also feeling very much refined and reliable. Chain sprocket is still good for another 3k kms Rear tyre is good for another 3 to 4k kms Front tyre I had to change because of a damage on tyre Brake pads changed at 10k kms on front and rear at 13k kms Overall a good bike

@akashbohra6798 please understand that any single cylinder bike would be prone to vibrations at certain speed bands. It's the design team of the engine which plays with it according to the aims of the final product or categorisation whether the engine of the bike should be having lesser compression ration or more of it, whether the engine should be designed to be more aggressive like that of KTM or it should be more relaxed etc. Increasingly, we are expecting and extracting more and more from each drop of the fuel with increasing involvement of technology etc. There is a limit to all this, at various point of time there would be few repercussions of such enormous pressure on fuel's utilisation with ever increasing pressure regarding "efficiency". Also, the expectations of vibratory disturbances range from country to country and region to region. When people in India complained about vibrations in Triumph 400 bikes, Indian team contacted British team about it but British feedback was that the recent Triumph owners of 400 series are absolutely ok with those vibrations primarily because they were coming down from larger single cylinder bikes to the lower capacity single cylinders and hence these vibrations were absolutely OK. We tend to graduate from lower capacity bike to now larger capacity single cylinders. Hence, cool down, get adjusted!
My Review - I own v strom and in terms of mileage, I usually get 38-40 in cities and in heavy traffic it can go down at 35-36 depending on each riding style. On highways i usually get 43-45 on 70-80 kmph , you can even get 50 kmpl on lower speeds , riding beyond on 100 kmph, the mileage drops as expected. In terms of durability and quality, all the components in v strom are top notch and service costs don’t go beyond 800-1000 rupees. The best part is even on 120-130 , i never felt any vibrations or buzz , in-fact engine gets smoother on higher speed and control is beautiful, feel more confident. You can ride on 100-110 all day long , no tiredness , after every 100-150 kms usually i take a small break which is of course important to relax muscles 💪 Coming to suspension, i guess its important to be little stiff , maybe this is how it is engineered to have better control on higher speeds , and i am with you bear with the looks of v strom , it nails it in this segment , it has amazing road presence, infact i fall in love every day with my v strom 250 whenever i see it , btw thank you guys for comparing both 250 bikes , always eager for your videos 😊
Pleased and agree! 😀👍 I took the test drive of Suzuki Vstrom 250 SX. Found it to be smooth and easy to drive with excellent ergonomics! Shocked about few essential things missing in the package like non availability of hazard lights / blinkers and switchable ABS. Why are most Japanese be so bloody rigid and deaf to the feedback and genuine requirements???🤔
What a fantastic video, I’m an absolute noob to motorcycling and trying to buy my first two wheeler, was looking at vstrom 250, I managed to watch this entire video without a pause, no jargon or no virtue signalling about their vast experience with riding, such good vibes from these two men. I can see their age adding certain calmness to their talk, appreciate that wisdom I managed to learn so much about motorcycles in this video. Thanks for that, Cherry on the cake is, ivru Namma kannaDadavrene! ( they’re Kannadigas)
Thanks a lot sir for posting this. Very helpful for people who want to buy these bikes. Thank you for your advise over the chat. Got a vstrom yesterday for myself 🎉😊
I own a Vstrom 250 sx and I am extremely happy with the ergonomics and engine performance… completed 2.5k the longest I could do was a Bangalore to mangalore road trip… absolutely no fatigue after the ride, engine Dosent get heated up whatsoever… returned me a mileage of 41 which I never expected … so far so good
Brilliant episode ! I had been looking for a 250cc bike review for upgrading from a commuter bike ! now I know what parameters to take a look at ! You never disappoint . Merry Christmas !
Last week i took vstrom from Bangalore to madikeri and i returned back on the same day, did around 550+kms i really didnt have much pain in back. Literally i fell in love this and i got avg of near to 42kmpl. Which is surprisingly good for 250cc. Im hoping new shades in this bike and ill book 😅😅😅😅

@@akashbohra6798 yup I noticed this, but unfortunately my phone fell down from phone holder due to the vibrations😢 which costed 12k to get it repaired. To avoid this vibrations we need to be at a higher rpm.😬😬😬
No need, if the mobile holder is placed on handle instead of the one behind wind shield which results in more vibration. And also using Suzuki connect for map is best which I did for more than 1000k ride in 2days through very rural roads where is no issue at all.
i got vstrom 250 an yr ago, i had my doubts while buying it and even after owning it for 2/3 months and now ik its the best bike i cud have bought in 2.5 lakh on road margin.... recently did a 800 km ride with ease. suzuki used to give entry level riding jacket along with it as well

Great video content and quality overall. Was interesting to watch in one go. Within 8 hours of release, it got advt 4-5 times from decent brands because of specialised content. I think it can be mentioned that a Rs15-20k budget would be decent to spend on quality non-negotiable protective gears. 👍
Vstrom just needed the 411 Himalayan suspension.. then it will be a perfect allround package...Vstrom engine is very refined and in terms of looks no match with the KTM.
Hello sir! Add you mentioned many a times to do test ride and I did that exactly same. Tried these both 250 ADV and Triumph Scrambler 400X and the decision was very easy. I'm getting Scrambler delivery at first week of Jan from Keerti Triumph JP Nagar. Waiting for your detailed review, comparisons and accessories suggestions. Thanks to you both for your contributions 🙏
I saw vstrom first on Calicut last year. The way it looked, I absolutely loved it. When i got an opportunity to buy, i just did. I didn't even Testdrive it. And the first vstrom i saw closely, sat or rode was my vstrom. And the experience was just awesome. And the 1st ADV i rode is Vstrom. Everyone was against my decision when i booked it. But i don't know, somehow i loved it. And i was not wrong. It gives me 46+ mileage, The ride is so good. The Smooth exhaust note when the speed rising from 80 is superb. And i also did some off-road. Other than suspension, everything is fine. Overall, This bike makes me happy, i feel like i have some kind of connection with it❤
Great points you mentioned here. I have a Yamaha FZ25. I am waiting for yamaha to do what suzuki did to vstrom 250. If i lose patience. I will only put on some longer shocks at both ends and make it a scrambler sort.
I am in love with the conversation its so organic and detailed info. Baskey voice and the way he says however I can listen to this type of conversations for long. Thank you.
Loved the Bisibele bath Vs Curd Rice comment 😂. But the Vstrom is not just a curd rice; more like a tadke wala curd rice ( bakala bath maybe) with some trappings of spice 🌶 . And any which way, one always winds up with curd rice here. Good review and eager beaver buyers must watch before plonking down the moolah. As for me, will continue to putter around on my SF 250 !
Litrally stuck between choosing Vstrom 250 ,ADV 250 and X440. Took TR of almost all bikes and still unable to make a decision. I wish SX250 had the switchable ABS for little more fun in light offroad.
I enjoy your every single video and tips and review. Whatever you mentioned here is completely true about the bike. I own a Vstrom 250. I enjoy every ride on my Vstrom 250. After 3rd servicing I am getting 35 to 38 within Delhi traffic and around 40-41kmpl on highway if cruising between 80-100. if goes above 110 to 130 it getting 35-38 on highway. I got 45kmpl when rode it around 70 to 80 kmph for 150 km on highway ride, that was amazing. Top speed I tested 140 with 130kg load on the bike on straight highway. after riding this I dont like any other bike available close to 3 lakh.. This is calm. gentle, easy going, smooth, negligible vibration. and I can ride 300km easily in a single go without any stop.
Bought the VStrom 250 5 months back. Have ridden 4400 kms till date; it is surely a pocket rocket considering the goodies it brings from its 250 siblings and is great for highway touring and mild off roading. As for mileage, I have been getting 34kmpl in city and close to 40kmpl on highways which is really light on my wallet during tours. Overall I would suggest anyone who is wanting a jack of all trades in this segment to go for the VStrom, zero regrets for sure 👍 P.S. - Bhasky, I see a dearth of younger reviewers in your videos 😉

I’m 200th 👍 liker 😃 Bosky the tank of KTM looks import from Austria and is very strong with a different type of material, that only costs more, a very sensible vlog 💐
13 years back I convinced my parents to buy a Hero honda Passion because I had a hard time commuting to college by bus. Just forget the cc as long as it's a geared bike😅
Again, a very good review about bikes. Right, the KTM looks more mature, aggressive and is a demanding motorcycle (be alert in driving it) while the V-Strom is a cheaper, simpler, smoother 250cc with a name and good looks. People having a KTM said that : the bike gives more fun but you need to be at the right gear/speed, it's heavier, heats up more, and drinks more petrol. You are right, for commuting and ballads Better choose the Suzuki. Yes, none of them are Adv. bikes but you can ride on dirty tracks at lower speed and not all day, but who does it ? A question arises: the price. interesting to see what will happen to the 250cc segment. These foreign companies are not ready to build smaller bikes. They build bigger bikes and get more money. But they have to wait here, India has its own pace. The 400cc is priced lower in this sense: attract people to ride bigger bikes.
Fellow Vstrom rider here, clocked >15k km over the year. Nimble for the city, powerful for the highway. Have faced few issues personally viz. - OEM brake pads die very fast! - Spare parts (handle guard) out of stock most of the times. Essential parts are available like spark plug, filters, etc. - Adding metal top box affects handling and resulting in handle wobbling. For a touring vehicle i felt this should have been taken care of. - Intrusive abs, kicks in during the micro humps on the highways - Stiff suspension during offroading - Heavy Clutch
Finally someone who is not praising this bike to the ends of the earth. Too many happy comments from supposed owners on every video with V storm. Suprising thing is that i dont really see too many V Storm in real life even in Bengaluru.
I am owning 250 V strom it is so comfortable easy to handle and smooth engine, easily hold 95 to 100Kmph on highway and you can do 110 to 120 occasionally if required.
I own the Atlantic Blue and I get 34 kmpl in the city & 42 kmpl at 40-50 kmph on the highway. Yes there is a buzz throughout the rev range which no doubt irritates and that's my only complaint. Also, when the fan hits during city rides, the hot air does bother my legs but that's what you get in return for such a high performing 250cc in the segment.
Perfect Video i own a V Strom Sx 250 for past 1.5 year i complete 39k kms i use daily commute 50+kms weekend ride mileage city 36 , highway 39.. my riding style in highwat 90 t0 120 in city max 80 to 90 service also packet friendly.. im facing issue engine value noise in 32k local showroom can't solve the issue.. right now im facing more vibration engine tapping noise its iterate me thats my ownership review 1.5 years
Thanks for the much awaited review. I’m looking to upgrade to a tourer from an fz which I currently ride. Any speculations on facelift for the vstrom in the coming months.? I want to take the purchase call based on this.
This video format should change: When you say this felt like this; this didn't feel like this, the viewer if they want to just listen then they can't make out which bike are you talking about.
Hi There, I own v-storm 250. * I got them serviced twice for 1.3k and its giving me 38-41 kmpl from day 1! * It has very strong road grip and gives you confidence to drive in highways. * Seating poster is where I felt little awkward in this bike but after adding the handle bar raisers I felt ok for long touring roads! * This bike suits for taller riders, short riders please think twice before deciding this vehicle, btw I am 5.8ft. * This is more suitable for highway touring roads, not for off-road touring. * I never felt comfortable riding this vehicle in heavy/busy road city traffic roads/ slow moving traffic roads-because of height issues.
Kindly Make a video like it can be listened as podcast. For example instead of saying I felt more comfortable on this bike, you can simply say I felt more comfortable on Duke 250. That way it is much easier to listen as podcast.
If my soul purpose is to choose one bike among these 2 to ride from down south to Himalayas- which one should i choose. I am 46 yrs old with 2 decades of riding experience.
Other than the quality part (may be barring the paint quality). I personally feel that the Suzuki has a better build, I find my 250 Adv to be flimsy in the plastic sections. Fantastic video without drama & unnecessary jargon’s.
I own ktm 250 adv and after the launch of 390X , I have never recommended 250adv to anyone unless they really are on a tight budget n want a ktm. 250 adv should not even be on people’s list after last 6 month’s new bike release.
I own vstrom sx . I rode about 3000km it gives a mileage of 36 to 41 depending on riding nature and first service costs me abt 1054 rs and it is very cheap . Over all best machine to commute daily 😍
With full respect to the reviewers they missed the point completely. V strom (which I own) is a city bike. The low end is amazing and it is an absolute joy in the city and on the highways. It’s for an older crowd to be honest. Ones who don’t do top end speeds or rev the hell out of the engine, although it is a rev happy engine. Vstrom seats are damn good for really long tours. It’s brilliant. What the vstrom isn’t is an adventure. It has the costume, but it’s shit Offroad. And I’m a guy who does decent off-roading. I knew this going for the bike mind you. You can’t for the love of god stand up and ride. It’s all sorts of awkward. It’s suspension travel is a joke. I have bottomed out the front on city potholes. It’s that poor. The KTM is a proper adventure. It can handle the poor roads and no roads with absolute ease. It’s performance is however in the top end so it demands correct gears and a bit of an eager riding style. In short the two are oriented towards two crowds. If you are an older guy wanting a bit of looks but none of the capability of an off-road machine then vstrom it is. Easier to live with by a mile. If you want an adventure you go for the KTM390x. For a bit more money you get a lot more bike. KTM 250 adventure is for people who NEED a KTM but can’t afford the 390.
I own v stromsx and KTM duke 250 2019 model both engines are good but v storm is like more a cool machine I felt some heat up to second service after that I never felt any heat duke doesn’t heat that much if you compare it with re bikes but in winter it feels good. I can feel some heats from my 10 year old hero igniter. When it comes to mileage there is a huge gap, v storm returns 42-44 on highway where as duke only returns me 30-32. The best thing about suzuki it doesn’t hesitate to go slow

After your comment I tried to ride it like you felt some mild buzz on foot pegs but that’s not bothersome but I don’t think it should not be ridden at 4000rpm on 2nd or 3rd gear. u can easily cruise at 65-70 on 6th gear then why to ride on 2nd or 3rd gear
My blacky vstrom is doing 13k on odo, I have a June 2023 model, I see odo indicated mileage of 42 on speeds of 90s on highways. I see mileage drop a lot after speed of 90. 95s speed give 37 and 100s speed give 35. Most of my rides are around 500km per day. I did some 6 to 7 rides so far.
I own V strom: In city : 33kmpl In HIghway(120+kmhr): 29-31kmpl In highway(80-100km/hr): 38-40kmpl In highway(60-70kmhr): 42-45kmpl You can only feel better torque around 6000rpm, else it feels boring.. After doing some off-roading I want to own a X-pulse 🥲, Any mod for the suspension???
Agree on the "boring" part. I had high hopes before test riding vstrom. I am coming from Karizma R, the power on vstrom felt ordinary. Not a huge difference compared to my 17 hp karizma. Suspension was good though.
I own Vstrom. Did a ride with couple of superbikes, multistrada and bmw 1250 and boy it didn't budge. It worked amazingl. Although milage took a hit. Just 31-32kmpl coz we did 120-125km/h.
VSTROM 250 is the best bike for me, no back pain, stylish, fuel efficient. Want to love it, but its engine is its achilles heel. Suzuki has fumbled on its quality. In our group all of us have engine issues. if theyd given Inazuma engine it would be nice. Hoping for a 450 CC VSTROM
Very interesting to hear about the engine - what type of issues? I currently have a 2019 GW (Inazuma) - I love the performance but I’m considering the VSTROM, maybe the DL instead of the SX?
I own the Vstrom - In city traffic I get close to 30kmpl In highway sprited riding again 30 kmpl. Sedate riding givea close to 38 kmpl. Just did a 650km ride today. It is an awesome highway tourer!
For me after 12k I am getting alot better mileage. Around 36kmpl in city and 41-42 kmpl on highway. On the point of off-roading, I cant say it gives you a good confidence but it can do some soft road or badly paved roads easily.
Brother what 30😂😂😂😂😂 I get 37-38 in bangalore traffic, where are you even driving the bike to get 30kmpl bruh. I can just imagine how you ride your bike or may be some issue with the engine. I travel from EC2 to manyata tech park still got 37-38. Check your engine oil.

Sir for city commuting which one would be better suited for the purpose? Vstrom sx 250 or Honda CB200X. The new honda now has a slipper clutch at much cheaper price
I'm looking forward to buy Honda NX500, however that is way too out of my budget at the moment and hence parked that thought until it appears in resale market! I was looking forward for a bike that have maximum comfort, that I can take for long ride but also a bike that I can ride within city limits, and main thing that I believe will bother me would be engine heat! Thanks a ton for the comparsion that no other channel does in the way you did :) I was thinking to go with KTM Adv 250 but after watching this I've dropped the plan and rather wait! I currently own Royal Enfield 1984, Yezdi CL2 1988, Yamaha Rx100 and Yamaha Fz16 (2013), So cannot tolerate heat.
@@bigbearbangalore I have heard and noticed a bit, also like you mentioned as well in this video that Japanese bikes are way cooler than other bikes, so I'm confused! btw which bike would you suggest given my requirements above.? Thank you for the quick reply though 😊 And yes, one of many reasons for nx500 is that it runs on 40kmpl in 5th gear without jerks & KTM is total opposite
That is true. They do run cooler. And you said that it's not in your planned budget. So, other brand motorcycles run hotter and you'd need to get used to it.
Sir, could You suggest between Sx250 and HD X440 am upgrading from 150cc , have 40km City commuting, 80km weekend highway commuting, nil offroading aparting bad roads and Most important need a durable bike for 7-10 years. Please please guide Sir
do you travel there every day ? alone or with pillion or heavy loads ? For every day, a lighter bike is best for mountains (easy to handle, less fuel). KTM is a nervous bike, if you accelerate too much entering the pin/curve you'll crash. The bike heats more on mountain roads (means more fuel too). Less touring équipements on KTM.
Hi Sir! I want to move to Adventure 250 from Classic 350. Is it a wise choice? I know you are an RE fan, but i am looking for more built reliability with a good height and a longer seat for pillion. Please suggest. Thank you!
Interesting, I am 55 years old, grew up in USA, use to consider 600cc as small. I now live in Indonesia and have CRF150L, CB150X (adv style local bike), Honda Rally 300 and the Hunter 350 and a CFmoto Papio 125 mini bike. I do not understand the opening, how are these bikes not ADV? My Rally I would call dirt oriented ADV, these two are what I would consider an ADV bikes. I now am a big fan of light, lower displacement bikes. This Suzuki sounds like a great replacement for my CB150X (actually my favorite bike). I want that lower RPM torque, oil cooling reminds me of my 88 GSX-R750 from a long time ago, it should add to the reliability of the bike. I am not big on technology, but that instrument cluster on the Suzuki looks terrible, big gap on left side........I would have to look at that all the time. Thx for good vid.
I have one doubt. What's your take on bend pipes. As i thinking of having on vstorm. As well mention the required mods on the bike. It will be very helpful ☺️
In Pune the price difference is just 10k! i am confused between these 2, 80% commuting and 20% long touring, which one will be better on bad roads cuz i heard vstrom is not ideal for it.
This bike has amazing low end & mid range torque, a very good bike for touring on good tarmac. The top end punch is missing, where the KTM shines. The suspension setup is rubbish & hence it returns feedback against every minor undulation on the road. However, the engine is a pure gem. You won't get tired riding the bike throughout the day.
First of all, another good bike comparo cum review. Iam in my mid forties and had owned yezdi roadking, RE 350s, Yamaha 100, RD 350, and more. Took almost a year to decide a decent no nonsense tourer and had the RE Interceptor, 390 Adv and Honda CB 350, RE classic 350, i finally rode the Vstrom 250 and fell in love immediately. Most of what u spoke for the Suzuki is why i chose it over the others. Have ridden bengaluru, yercaud, kerala, chennai and more. Love the motorcycle for its highway manners. Its like riding a 100 cc Honda in the city but after 5000 rpm, pulls in a very linear fashion and have touched 140km but at 100 to 120 km its in its sweet spot. Only grouse apart from cost and suspension is the lousy light borrowed from the old parts bin like most parts. Yet, love it. My mileage showed 46km on highway with consistent 60 to 70km
Good review, guess these two bikes are good touring bikes compared bikes like Himalayan or Hero Pulse (These are real Adv bikes where you can jump around rough terrains, which is hardly done by a handfull of people!!)
Nice video Bhai...by the way im getting a city mileage of 30 to 35 kmpl in city and 39 kmpl on highway that too with pillion and luggage on my KTM adventure 250...
Sorry. This is all I can do. All i have is a mobile, tripod and microphones. I shoot, edit and post by myself. No team, no script and no special software. So please bear with this quality. Thanks.
Hi.. I'm having ktm 250 adv i love to ride in highways very much and the machine also but when comes to ride in traffic or city i feel littlebit difficult... Anyway i love both machines❤
@Big bear customs I got KTM 250 ADVENTURE in Oct 2023, i hear lot of irritating noise from head light mask and from wiser. After 2 or 3 hrs of break, once the engine has started, engine will auto turn off immediately by its own, post which i need to start multiple times then the engine will not turn off. Also once the engine is kicked off, i have found lag in the pick up for the first 1.5 to 2 kms. once vehicle is driven for 1.5 to 2 kms post which engine will kicks in the pick up or gives you constant power. These are major problems have been facing from last 2 months.
I dont know why, whenever i see This Vstrom, i feel like buying it. I have Fz25, Speed 400, Thunderbird still since i took trst drive of Vstrom, i feel like buying it. Thinking of exchanging with FZ25, but slightly worried about seat hright, being short , 5.4 and Sr.Citizen .

The 400X and H450 are quite different in size and behaviour. Both can exist in a garage together. Test ride them to know more. And choose depending on what's important to you. Commuting and B & C roads traveling or touring and exploring long and far.
I am a proud owner of Suzuki v strom 250 and i am really happy with it. I have query regarding my v strom 250 if someone can help it will be helpful , My v strom becomes buzzy and i can feel vibrations on foot pegs and handlebars on 2-3rd gear between 3000-4000 rpm but the moment i go on higher gears the vibrations disappears, its kind of a resonance, is this normal?
Many thanks for sharing. 👍

Great to hear. Thanks.

Its refreshing to watch a review where you have added a point of where the buyer of the bike is coming from.
No one adds this point and so we get perspective of long term riders who usually don’t appreciate small bikes to the full extent. 👍
Glad you liked it.
Chain sprocket is still good for another 3k kms
Rear tyre is good for another 3 to 4k kms
Front tyre I had to change because of a damage on tyre
Brake pads changed at 10k kms on front and rear at 13k kms
Overall a good bike

@@akashbohra6798 Yes a slight buzz can be felt at that range in my bike also
@akashbohra6798 please understand that any single cylinder bike would be prone to vibrations at certain speed bands.
My Review -
I own v strom and in terms of mileage, I usually get 38-40 in cities and in heavy traffic it can go down at 35-36 depending on each riding style. You can ride on 100-110 all day long , no tiredness , after every 100-150 kms usually i take a small break which is of course important to relax muscles 💪
Coming to suspension, i guess its important to be little stiff , maybe this is how it is engineered to have better control on higher speeds , and i am with you bear with the looks of v strom , it nails it in this segment , it has amazing road presence, infact i fall in love every day with my v strom 250 whenever i see it , btw thank you guys for comparing both 250 bikes , always eager for your videos 😊

I took the test drive of Suzuki Vstrom 250 SX. Found it to be smooth and easy to drive with excellent ergonomics! Shocked about few essential things missing in the package like non availability of hazard lights / blinkers and switchable ABS. Why are most Japanese be so bloody rigid and deaf to the feedback and genuine requirements???🤔
What a fantastic video, I’m an absolute noob to motorcycling and trying to buy my first two wheeler, was looking at vstrom 250,

No need, if the mobile holder is placed on handle instead of the one behind wind shield which results in more vibration. And also using Suzuki connect for map is best which I did for more than 1000k ride in 2days through very rural roads where is no issue at all.

Great video content and quality overall. Was interesting to watch in one go. Within 8 hours of release, it got advt 4-5 times from decent brands because of specialised content. I think it can be mentioned that a Rs15-20k budget would be decent to spend on quality non-negotiable protective gears. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the gears input. Regards.

Thanks to you both for your contributions 🙏
Well done. Congrats!
Getting 2.6 ltrs per 100k, 38 kpl. This is a combination of city/highway. After having done 1500klm this has been very close right from new.

Yummmm. 😀👍
Litrally stuck between choosing Vstrom 250 ,ADV 250 and X440. Took TR of almost all bikes and still unable to make a decision. I wish SX250 had the switchable ABS for little more fun in light offroad.
V-storm is a tourer, light offroader . You won't like it in bad off-road but if for touring it's absolutely amazing in both traffic and highway.
👍
🙌
The mileage might be a deal breaker for me
Bought the VStrom 250 5 months back. Overall I would suggest anyone who is wanting a jack of all trades in this segment to go for the VStrom, zero regrets for sure 👍

👍
Splendor Passion are safest investment , no regret at all that does job 90 % of larger bikes in all department at 1/10 cost on maintainence
👍
Great vid you boys, I think shall be buying a vstrom 250 soon
Thanks. Good choice!

- Intrusive abs, kicks in during the micro humps on the highways
- Stiff suspension during offroading
- Heavy Clutch
Thanks for sharing.
👍
I own the Atlantic Blue and I get 34 kmpl in the city & 42 kmpl at 40-50 kmph on the highway. Yes there is a buzz throughout the rev range which no doubt irritates and that's my only complaint. Also, when the fan hits during city rides, the hot air does bother my legs but that's what you get in return for such a high performing 250cc in the segment.

Thanks for sharing.
Kindly Make a video like it can be listened as podcast.
For example instead of saying I felt more comfortable on this bike, you can simply say I felt more comfortable on Duke 250.
That way it is much easier to listen as podcast.

Ok
I own v stromsx and KTM duke 250 2019 model both engines are good but v storm is like more a cool machine I felt some heat up to second service after that I never felt any heat duke doesn’t heat that much if you compare it with re bikes but in winter it feels good. I can feel some heats from my 10 year old hero igniter.
When it comes to mileage there is a huge gap, v storm returns 42-44 on highway where as duke only returns me 30-32.
The best thing about suzuki it doesn’t hesitate to go slow

On the point of off-roading, I cant say it gives you a good confidence but it can do some soft road or badly paved roads easily.
That's nice to hear. Thanks.
Brother what 30😂😂😂😂😂
I get 37-38 in bangalore traffic, where are you even driving the bike to get 30kmpl bruh. I can just imagine how you ride your bike or may be some issue with the engine. I travel from EC2 to manyata tech park still got 37-38.
Check your engine oil.
@@saswatsenapati7870 i have a query regarding v strom 250 , My v strom becomes buzzy and i can feel vibrations on foot pegs and handlebars on 2-3rd gear on 3000-4000 rpm but the moment i go on higher gears the vibrations disappears,do you have similar issues ?
Sir for city commuting which one would be better suited for the purpose?
Vstrom sx 250 or Honda CB200X.
The new honda now has a slipper clutch at much cheaper price
Ride and choose the one you feel better on.
Thank you
It depends on the height of the person and variance of amount 50k.
Hi sir, thanks for the video. Can you recommend any good gps tracker for bikes? For the purpose of safety I am asking.
Thanks. Am sorry am not familiar with the any trackers.
Heat is part of midsize performance engines.
@@bigbearbangalore I have heard and noticed a bit, also like you mentioned as well in this video that Japanese bikes are way cooler than other bikes, so I'm confused! btw which bike would you suggest given my requirements above.?
Thank you for the quick reply though 😊
And yes, one of many reasons for nx500 is that it runs on 40kmpl in 5th gear without jerks & KTM is total opposite
That is true. They do run cooler. And you said that it's not in your planned budget. So, other brand motorcycles run hotter and you'd need to get used to it.
I just ordered the sx 250 ❤❤❤
Congrats
Can't speak about Suzuki VStorm but SF250 with same engine is giving 40kmpl before first service.
👍
Sir, could You suggest between Sx250 and HD X440
am
upgrading from 150cc ,
have 40km City commuting,
80km weekend highway commuting,
nil offroading aparting bad roads and
Most important
need a durable bike for 7-10 years.
Please please guide Sir
Opposite. Cannot compare realistically. Test ride and choose.
Go for SX 250
Which one would you recommend for travelling to hills? Steep climbs and complete U-turn climbs?
250SX
do you travel there every day ? alone or with pillion or heavy loads ? For every day, a lighter bike is best for mountains (easy to handle, less fuel). KTM is a nervous bike, if you accelerate too much entering the pin/curve you'll crash. The bike heats more on mountain roads (means more fuel too). Less touring équipements on KTM.
Hi Sir! I want to move to Adventure 250 from Classic 350. Is it a wise choice? I know you are an RE fan, but i am looking for more built reliability with a good height and a longer seat for pillion. Please suggest. Thank you!
Good move. If budget permits go for the 390X.
@@bigbearbangalore thank you so much sir!
If a v strom 400 comes, all the competition will be over, also will be the only japanese manufacturer in india to play in that segment 👀👀
Let's see if it will.
These are street chassis and engines with adv style bodywork. Thanks. Cheers!
Anna masth 🎉 ond clarity sikthu thuba jochne madtha btw this 2 antha
But clear on it now ❤
🙏
I have one doubt. What's your take on bend pipes. As i thinking of having on vstorm. As well mention the required mods on the bike. It will be very helpful ☺️
What bend pipes?
In Pune the price difference is just 10k! i am confused between these 2, 80% commuting and 20% long touring, which one will be better on bad roads cuz i heard vstrom is not ideal for it.
Test ride can give you some answers.
👍
Sir which is comfortable in long 500km journey ktm 250or sx 250 have plan to ladakh this year any other bike also in experience pls suggest
On long rides, I found the 250ADV more comfortable.
@@bigbearbangalore tnk u verymuch sir love the way you make the videos looking to meet u once in your garage
Suzuki is most underrated Japanese mfg in India market though it makes most reliable machine with least maentance then other 3 japanese
Indeed!
Hey! Many thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks for the comparison sir and i agree with you, v storm is the best looking bike under 3 lkhs.
Yes, true.
Please compare Vstorm with Xpulse and Xpulse pro.
Will check on this possibility
Good review, guess these two bikes are good touring bikes compared bikes like Himalayan or Hero Pulse (These are real Adv bikes where you can jump around rough terrains, which is hardly done by a handfull of people!!)
👍
Guys regarding the mileage figure, are you calculating from the tank to tank method or roughly referring from the display only?
Full tank to tank
@@bigbearbangalore unbelievable mileage..... Hats off to Suzuki. The only sore point is unavailability of spares
Nice video Bhai...by the way im getting a city mileage of 30 to 35 kmpl in city and 39 kmpl on highway that too with pillion and luggage on my KTM adventure 250...
Thanks. Good to hear! Thanks for sharing.
Suhaildar Is it display milege or full tank to full tank calculation?
@aruns2078 it's on display
Guys, would love to see more camera angles and better cuts to make your content engaging. Just a single camera frame doesn't cut it .
Sorry. This is all I can do. All i have is a mobile, tripod and microphones. I shoot, edit and post by myself. No team, no script and no special software. So please bear with this quality. Thanks.
@@bigbearbangalore I can understand that..But just suggesting how you can put your immense knowledge of bikes out there for a wider audience.
Noted! Thanks.
Confused between Xpulse , VStorm and Duke.
Will not do any off roading. Comfort, reliability of the bike is my priority.
I am 6'2
Duke perhaps. Try it since you are tall.
Hi.. I'm having ktm 250 adv i love to ride in highways very much and the machine also but when comes to ride in traffic or city i feel littlebit difficult... Anyway i love both machines❤
🙏👍
@Big bear customs
I got KTM 250 ADVENTURE in Oct 2023, i hear lot of irritating noise from head light mask and from wiser.
Sorry to hear.
🙏
Hi, I am 170cm.. will it be easy for me to ride the Vstorm in the city or rough patches considering it has 835mm seat height?
Try it! The best way to know.
Waiting for the 400cc ADV comparison
Soon.
Big big fan boy for u bosky... As usual great review Vstrom was my dream bike once. Now looking to bike upgrade own an FZ 2013, Bullet 350 2016... Looking for an big bikes... Confused b/w scrambler 400x, Himalayan 452..... considering budget Vstrom also already Test rides done on all still confused to make a decision. I know no bike is perfect. Still need ur valuable suggestion bosky on these to get the rit one. I am from Kerala. Heard that u too got ur Himi boy and scrambler....... Guide me Bosky
Hope someone can assist with an answer.
i have heard V storm having some engine and suspension issues??? is that true
Don't know.
i dont think this is a fair comparison from the beginning both were one sided for ktm 250.. and making fun of vstorm.. for the money vstorm its good.
