2 Timeless Razors vs. The Goatee. Seaforth Heather Soap, Simpson Chubby 2 Ebony & Sauvage.

- Shaving off the Goatee today and I’ll be trying out 2 different Timeless Razor setups. First is the Open Comb .68 with the Smooth Cap, and second is the Scalloped Base .95 with the Scalloped Cap. I wanted to see what would cut through longer beards, smoother. I’ll also be using Seaforth Heather Soap, Simpson Chubby 2 in Faux Ebony and Wilkinson Sword Gillette Blades. Finishing off the shave with Sauvage After Shave Balm.

0.95mm blade gap MEDIUM AGGRESSIVE: Gets very close very quickly without irritation
0.68mm blade gap MILD: Nice and mild but takes more passes to get BBS
FINISH
* MATTE FINISH: Dull glass beaded finish. The matte finish creates a much more durable long lasting finish
* POLISHED: Ultra shiny finish. The polished finish is more prone to scratches and wear and tear

That was a successful showdown. I used a Muhle R41 to shave off a one-week-old goatee. That's all I could stand. I enjoy my daily shaves too much. Plus, I really wanted to test the R41. And it did the job with one pass. I did two passes just to prove I could do it with no nicks or irritation.

Huge fan of the channel Ken. I've only been DE wet shaving for 2 weeks now. I bought Rockwell R1 with a variety pack of razors and am working my way through them. It was a cheap way to start out. Glad I caught the goatee removal on the day it happened. I’ve never used an open comb razor before. After seeing you use it, I’m wanting to try one out on a goatee like you had. First I need to resist the urge to shave my entire face and actually let it grow in😁. Great video as always Ken and thank you.

Great shave. It’s nice to see you being completely clean shaven again. Maybe when my mustache and goatee finally connect with each other, I could sport a goatee. But since my facial hair is still developing on the early 20s me, it’s gonna take some time and patience. Those razors were very efficient for you, and you might want to keep both of them because of that. Have a good one!

Nicely done Ken🪒🪒 Goatee gone and only a tiny issue, perfect. I have several Timeless razors in different configurations, always a superior shave. Haven't tried Seaforth yet but it seems to work good. Great video and results, thanks. No REX Konsul yet, you're missing out...just saying. Enjoy!

Great shave Ken. Great to see you clean shaven again. Which way does your family prefer? My wife hates facial hair so that’s an easy one for me. Not liking it myself with it mostly grey now. Interesting to see the comparison of blade gap/comb. Lois like even though a smaller blade gap the open comb takes the win.

Great shave! I'm not a fan of Sauvage EDT, EDP or Parfum, but the newest flanker, Elixir is a masterpiece. Doesn't smell like the others, it's not sharing the common DNA. Think Drakkar Noir made modern and with nuclear performance. That's Sauvage Elixir in a nutshell. Cheers!

Great shave Ken. It's been a while since you shaved of the goatee. The wind doesn't bother allergies too much unless there's a lot of pollen on the ground that's when I start to suffer.
When I take off my beard and moustache after No-Shave November, I use my Fine Marvel Razor to remove on first pass, then switch to a less aggressive tool like my Merkur 34 or 42. The Marvel has enough of a gap that it's possible.
