Ken, your dropping this razor is the funniest thing I've ever seen on a shaving channel))). Just made laugh! Reminded me of my goofiness when I was putting a blade into brand new just out of the box never used Edwin Jagger and it just slipped through my fingers, fell on the bathroom floor and the head split. I couldn't believe it! As for Milord-good choice. Not the most popular vintage razor but a really nice tool, very mild and sharp at the same time. Always enjoy using it. Take care.

Great shave Ken, I was in Taylor’s yesterday and spoke to Barry, he said they are not discontinuing the grapefruit cream, they have a new cream out called royal forest with notes of bergamot & apple, mid notes of Jasmin and black pepper and a base note of amber and vanilla.

Great shave. If I do go to Southern California, I'll make sure to stop by WCS when I can. I could go to Maggards which is a paradise for wet shavers looking for goody good shaving stuff too. It's a 4 hour drive from there and I hope to visit there in the future

Would you mind doing a video on how to properly build up lather, care for the soap and other educational stuff? I'm really enjoying your videos, with that calm but enthusiastic voice.
I had to learn all this myself, since my dad died when I was 6yo and grandpa shaves with a machine. But to me, wet shave just feels more comfortable, less skin irritating (I have a machine but my face gets all burning after using it) and overall satisfying. But I've been using the stuff in spray up until recently, when in my 35, I've decided I'm old enough for the real deal and switched to soap.

1st I love my Milord. About that tubed shave product you used last week. Trader Joe's has a tubed shave cream that I squirt directly into the brush and it works great. BTW it gives a great shave. This technique may work for you. Loved that razor and brush you used tonight. Feel better, and goodnight.
Good shave Ken. Yeah that blade tore you up some. Before I started doing shave videos, people in the past would ask me try their favorite blade and a lot times I would be cringing because I didn't like it and didn't get good results with it. Looks like you had a good time at West Coast Shaving. Sunday can't come quick enough for me. I'm using the Leaf razor and Twig sculptor against a 7 day beard growth to see how it does.

Ken, you have mentioned me in the your last three videos regarding my comment on the astra blades. I found some gillette silver blue laying around and I think I finally found a winner. Matched with a parker variant I got the closest shave in a long time. In addition to the new blade, I tend to choke up on the handle so I decided to hold the razor down low which puts less pressure on the head. Seems to work great so far. Gonna try the new technique on some other razors.

Nice shave Ken. Can't go wrong with TOBS creams, always a great shave for me. Peppermint sounds delectable and perfect for Christmas time shaving. The new WCS brush is interesting, like the size for sure. Yep, gotta see the ol' Doc from time to time, make for sure the innards are working right. Description says Wilkinson Sword Gillette blade, nice try...maybe should have used one though🤨 Gotta love that burn brother, Epsilon is a close second to Floid Blue. Great shots of WCS and ol'59 himself. Another fun video. Enjoy!

Thanks for the video Ken, it's funny how sometimes the mild blade/razor combos can end up biting us. On the TOBS grapefruit discontinuation, I think there was talk of that a few years ago too. I hope this time it's a rumour, but I did purchase a couple of pots just in case. Enjoy your time off work!

peppermint and grapefruit are the only 2 TOBS creams that really stand out as exceptional for me. I have them both and enjoy them. I got my first custom made Wolf Whiskers brush this week so will be trying that out this weekend
Ken, I still struggle from time to time to get a good lather. It would be great once to see how you build the lather, meaning the camera pointing to the sink and seeing the whole thing from beginning to end

I just used an Astra on my last shave and managed 3 or 4 small nicks with it. Could be how it worked in that particular razor so I'll have to swap it into another to try for comparison. Epsilon Blue is fantastic!

We are planning a US Trip in 2020 Summer. My father wanted to go with me to the US his whole life. He is 70 than and untill now worked,worked,worked. Now me and my family and my parents wanna go to the West Coast. I have to go to such a store! Until now i can order only online and never now the scent. It will be great to smell the stuff first!! :-)
I have 2 vintage Techs and both shave very well. Both seemed to have had very little use or were well just cared for either way I've no issues with them. Other than having a contemporary model, for the sake of completeness, I don't see much point in acquiring some of the Contemporary Clones. In fact as I think about it; I do have a Rapira Tech Clone and it is noticeably more aggressive than either of the "Originals"..

Coincidentally, I shaved with a Supermax in an English Tech (the zinc alloy cap toe with Gillette stamped on top). The Supermax was on about its 5th shave. The blade has been very good but not great for me.
They still sell the Grapefruit scent over their homepage. So, i don´t think they stopped producing it...

The sucky thing about ordering from India is, for some odd reason they always send everything registered mail - meaning if you're not home to sign for the delivery you'll end up going to your local post office to pick up your parcel. Which entirely defeats the purpose of ordering online.

I hate Prednisone! I just ended 3 whole weeks of being on it for this acute bronchitis. When I had an Adrenalectomy from Cushing's Syndrome, I had to be on it for a whole year until the sleeping adrenal gland woke up.

I got 2 packs of derby blades with a couple of razors I ordered from razorock... those blade tugged and left me bloody in a few spots. Not a fan of derby. 💈

Don't you wash and rinse the new brushes before you use them? I've read that because of handling, an attempt should be made to disinfect new brushes with a good, long soak.

I find that Floid aftershave instantaneously soothes skin irritation on the neck. Does Epsilon have the same properties?

Just like the Van Der Hagen blades. Those sons of a bitch cut me pretty darn bad. To me, that's the sign of a poor sharping on the blade. I was actually going to try the SuperMax blades, but now I'll stay again from them!
