What a delusion. The EQC is technically inferior to a 2015 Model X in every single metric.
Range, acceleration, top speed, charging power, towing capacity,.. it is soo poorly engineered that it doesn't even have room for a front trunk.
And it's not coming until next year?!
Forget Tesla.. even Audi will have something better soon.

An electric car that has a personalty. The I-Pace still looks more stylish in my eyes, but this EQC 400 is still very catching.
Nothing is beating the X in my eyes, but the I-Pace is alright too.

Hello Edward! Today there are various independent charging service providers in the market. With the launch of the EQC, Daimler AG will provide EQ customers with the Mercedes me Charge service to charge the car at public places, so the charging network should be implemented accordingly.

"Enjoy the silence" was a spot from Volkswagen and not Mercedes.

One of the most important advantage of an electric car is wider interior because of lack of an engine, transmission, gas tank etc. In this car the interior is not different than an E class or GLC. Even the drive shaft is kept. The battery is also developed by another company. If this car sells well, 5 or 10 years later we may get an EV designed to be an EV from Mercedes. If you are familiar with EV's you can understand why Tesla is light years ahead of other companies. I have 2 Mercedes now and if Tesla will not come to Turkey in the following years I may buy EQC, however this design is a huge disappointment for me.
100% agreed. We have a Tesla Model X and it still looks light years ahead of this design. After owning multiple Mercedes we decided to switch to Tesla after experiencing appalling service from service centres and dealerships and unreliability.

Ich finde den eqc persönlich einen sehr gelungenen und sehr schönen suv, mit einer schönen runden linienführung und sehr futuristischer, nicht übertriebener optik
Was macht man mit EQC nach acht Jahren, wenn der Akku platt ist? Mercedes verlangt derzeit für den Austausch inklusive Akku 42.000 Euro laut Mercedes-Werkstatt! Kein Wunder, dass es einen gewaltigen Preisrutsch gegeben hat, weil jetzt die Gebrauchten noch schnell unter die Ahnungslosen gebracht werden müssen. Nach acht Jahren landet das Auto dann auf dem Schrottplatz zzgl. Entsorgungskosten über einen Spezialentsorger - vielen Dank für die Nachhaltigkeit!

BMW doesn´t have anything to show like Audi and Mercedes Benz. I love Tesla, they have the best electric cars, but I agree they still lack the quality of these traditional automakers. But I'm very happy to see both Mercedes and Audi finally releasing their electric cars and promoting them with this kind of beautiful videos.

The concept car was SO much better. This one is clinging too hard to the way things have always looked with cars. Time to be bold a shake things up! :)
We dared a lot with the EQC and we thought that most of you would think the same. 😞 We'll try to not be disappointed and prove you that this vehicle is a real innovation of the automobile industry!
looks great , however there are 2 key questions, 1) is the battery thermally managed ( if not then a deal buster ) , 2) where are the charging points.
Any new electric car will automatically be judged against a Tesla who have done this job right , so you need to be better and cheaper than a Tesla to sell , its just that simple.
Being a Tesla owner ( but open to new vehicles) , much as i like the look off this vehicle the no charging points at present, this is a deal buster, Tesla spent the time and money to integrate a charging network into their cars, its simply second to none, so until i see this on any new vehicle regardless off the manufacturer they are simply wasting their time trying to sell the car . tesla have over 850,000 back orders , there is a reason for that, they have thought the system through, not just the car.

Nice car, of which the average consumption will be higher as 20 kWh. That means a real range of 350-400 km with a 85 kWh-battery. The Hyundai Kona and Kia Niro have the same (or maybe even better) range with a 64 kWh-battery. Mercedes has to do a lot of things to make electric cars for the ‘average’ customer...

Nice car, but people who are able to buy this car often also live in houses with 3Phase residential installation instead of 1 Phase.
That means that when you come home after a day of driving a lot and the battery is almost empty, your car will not be fully charged the next day, because it charges on 1 Phase only.
It will take around 25 hours to fully charge with 3.7 kW.
So the next morning drive to a Fastcharger and charge your car over there. Same with the Jaguar I-Pace. Missed opportunity..But again, great car!
Now Audi is planning to launch the Audi E-Tron beginning of 2019. WITH 3Phase charging possibility at home.
I wish Mercedes all the best with this missed opportunity. And not communicating how far you can drive accroding the WLTP (Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Procedure).
But lot's of people like Mercedes for sure! But the guys who invented it should be punished.. :-)

Who said it was fake? It probably serves a functional purpose. In the I-Pace, the grille serves a practical purpose.

IONITY will implement and operate about 400 fast charging stations across major European thoroughfares until 2020. 😊 First stations are already in operation in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany and Switzerland.

Front all wrong - needs to look good on the inside, wow factor on the outside and drive as good as it looks to be a winner on the premium sector. This has been signed off by a board - not one passionate car person who can see its a dog on the outside and has the strength to say no, go back to the drawing board. A real pity, opportunity missed while Merc have quite a good line up recently and caught up with their competition with the best interiors and headlights now.
