As an owner of the W212, i think it's the last generation where every "Class" had its unique design. Now every model looks like a smaller version of the S-class and doesn't have it's own character that much.. I remember the old and serious Mercedes technology explaining videos where they showcase how the car is built, for example the W124's ABS system video. In other words, engineering explained promo videos, with the serious James Bond style bacground music. (just type Mercedes Benz E-Class Sedans W211 Specs Documentary here on TH-cam and you will get the point) I just can't be sold a car like that.. I'm 19, (i can afford it but it will cost me all my savings, so im happy with my w212 while investing for now) i like the technology, convinience and the added safety behind the newest E-class, I appreciate that you tried to put a friendly guy in the ad but this now feels like nothing serious! Where are the specs? Engine variants? Turbocharger technology improvements, brake improvements? It's not a phone commercial.. I miss those old vibes of engineering explained Mercedes promo videos where we could see the engineering part of the car in all its seriousness. This somehow made me appreciate the build quality more! Like i own a tank, like there's thought in every part and how it is made to whitstand 500'000km, how the sensor on my fuel filter is replaceable, how my brake pads can be replaced with only one bolt, instead of two bolts. How there is thought in every part to be the most effective while being the most simple! Now that's what i call user-friendly! If i am giving this much money for a car, i want to know more about the car, not about the guy. Im not saying the newer models are more fragile but As a 19yr old i can say that us, the new generation think we are getting screwed with cheaper quaility products just because we didn't know the cars of the past! For example you can't just put cardboard over the headliner of the new GLC63 AMG.. Not on the AMG! What is it even used for? Why is it there? Why regular cardboard? Aren't there better materials? But it's not only your fault, there's brand new Peugeot's from the factory, 2021 models which still have drum brakes in the rear.

This is the absolute best review of a Mercedes I've ever seen. Although I hate the new S class with that gigantic tablet down the center console, I love the new E class; everything about it is virtually perfect. This car is truly worth the price.

I think Mercedes Benz designers have a problem with designing lights. They change the rear lights design so often it's like they're insecure with themselves. The new front and rear looks horrible IMO. And it also same story with the S class. The previous models had the best modern design look and they have killed it. Audi and BMW have that on lock.
In terms of looks, i find the #1 most acceptable change back is the upright standing star above the bonnet..not only that but showing the star 'coming out' from around the Mercedes-Benz wording around it, this is that innovative evolutionary design progression 1st seen in the W140 series in 1991 ! So, that overall is a most welcome change back in a Mercedes-Benz bonneted vehicle product presentation style. Although i still cannot agree 100% the design approach & appearances taken with this model in overall, the upright standing star is the correct approach to continue to uphold, bearing in mind the long established Mercedes-Benz design heritage of their bonneted vehicles. That MUST always remain available (at least as an option) for ALL the bonneted models (irregardless of category) as far as i'm concerned. Another positive welcome sight is the amber coloured instrument gauge needle, which i find more ergonomically comfortable for the eye to see (whether day or nite) compared to other colours like red or white or silver. On the negative side of things, am not too impressed by those rear lampsets which look too 'minimalist' i.e. too long & thin with not much illumination area to offer compared to the earlier generation designs which i find more 'impactful'. Seems they want to copy Tesla styling there & speaking of which, what they can learn from Tesla is to do a vertical screen on the centre console BUT do it better than Tesla by integrating the screen design 'sunken' INTO the dashboard...don't just 'lean' it on the dash as if like some tablet or PC monitors double-sided taped there like some last minute design afterthought...sad to say, seems the approach taken by some brands which i find most distasteful say the least ?!! So in a Mercedes-Benz i expect them to not blindly copy what the other makes come out with but instead to do it with greater refinement in the approach taken, so that users accustomed with the Mercedes-Benz 'standard' of doing things would continue to be 'at home' in a new Mercedes-Benz, whether it be a fossil, hybrid or full EV model.
This lovely executive sedan will be mine! 😍 It will be like the one in the video with the star on top, but the beautiful exclusive-line red that looks like wine and Designo interior. Almost fully optioned, of course. 😍
make sure to get the leather option else the E-Class comes with plastic seats for the same $70k price tag. The true luxury experience comes from the cost of maintenance & repairs. 🙄
My favorite discontinued Mercedes is the GLK. I loved that car so much. The only reason I know about it is because I used to get it as a courtesy vehicle when I put my ML in for service.
I have driven e class w123, w124 and w211 and believe me it is the best car i have ever driven in my life. There is really no match for mercedes benz. Also driving experience of s class w126 and w 140 was a life time experience . It was and will be my honor to own and have a pleasure to drive these car which are the best cars in there respective segments ever made.
Make no mistake it will be a beast and much faster than previous c63 as it will be electrified like never before. Sure no more v8 but hey you will be able to get in in other models.

I have driven e class w123, w124 and w211 and believe me it is the best car i have ever driven in my life. There is really no match for mercedes benz. Also driving experience of s class w126 and w 140 was a life time experience . It was and will be my honor to own and have a pleasure to drive these car which are the best cars in there respective segments ever made.

@Sameer Malik my das has an E-Class and it’s pretty well optioned out, I love the car.
Make no mistake it will be a beast and much faster than previous c63 as it will be electrified like never before. Sure no more v8 but hey you will be able to get in in other models.

Nice, but I'm not yet sold on the new front end with the new interpretation of the traditional Mercedes grill. The front end of the pre-facelift car was better. Love the colour, though. Aragonite Silver really suits the car.
