Hey, Techno 7843, can you do NSN update of when will the Manhattanville bus depot gonna get rid of the Spectrum NGs and will the MTA gonna takeover private bus lines in Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties in the near future?
RIP Spectrum NGs (from FR and JFK) I wonder if Baisley will see 2023/4 XD40 loans from JFK… It’s always nice to see more news on MTA Bus, especially Baisley news!
@ I feel like if they got some for their own, they’ll be there to fill in the gap for the few NGs they have, plus a few more (hopefully so they can finally send out more Q112s cuz that route is a unicorn)
Just an update, 2009 Orion 7.501 NG Hybrid #4169 is off the roster. Moved to ECH scrap from Zerega. Also, 2010 Orion 7.501 NG Hybrid #4655 is done too.
Goodnight Sir. And once again Thank-you. For making us one more of your awesome Bus video. And this time MTA Bus Fleet . turn aka the exchange and Orion VII Next-generation Retirement as more Novas LFS aka the Conehead Bus and NewFlyer XD aka The The New Batwing. To replace them in the future. Also thank-you for including the as MCI and Pervos as The MTA Bus Fleet 🚌 in your video📹 sir.. Thank-you once again for the awesome video 📹 sir. These new XD-40 and Novas LFS reminds me of the older Buse from my childhood but in a new version of them the Novas remind me of Fishbowl Bus and XD reminds of New Flxble Bus .Either Grumman Flxble or normal Flxble Bus sir.
Glad you enjoyed! I like that nickname you came up with for the XD40, and I appreciate the feedback. It's cool how new buses sometimes resemble older ones, even if merely in fleet number.
@Techno-ov5ss Goodnight Champ. Sense you make use all these great videos sir. I give you my permission to use my Nick name for the XD-40 XD-40 sense you had came up with Novas being the Coneheads . My Daughter had started calling the older Novas LFS with the back windows the 8000 the new Fishbowl Bus/ Blitz Bus 🚌
All of the buses that the MTA has ordered now have their confirmed fleet numbers: New Flyer XHE40 - 0024-0025 MCI D45 CRT CHARGE - 0026-0030 Solaris Urbino NAe40 - 0031-0035 New Flyer XE60 CHARGE NG - 5105-5194 New Flyer XD60 - 6287-6956 MCI D45 CRT - 2800-2891 New Flyer XE40 CHARGE NG - 3500-4629 Prevost X3-45 Commuter Coach - 1630-2010
@@dodge1515To start off, that Solaris Urbino Electric Bus isn’t made in America. That manufacturer is located in Poland and the MTA isn’t following the “Buy America Act.” As per this law, the MTA must only purchase new buses manufactured in the United States. For example, Gillig is a bus manufacturer within the United States and it can definitely range in the “Buy America Act” category. This can be a good replacement once Novabus isn’t considered an option once the US Plant closes in 2025. Another bus manufacturer should be considered so they don’t just have to be buying only New Flyer Xcelsiors. I knew that options were going to start being limited ever since Orion went out of business. How great things could’ve been if Orion didn’t made that decision to introduce DaimlerChrysler as the parent company. If they didn’t did that, trust me, Orion would still be in business today and they could’ve been manufacturing the Orion 8 by now.
@@edwinpenafort8750 Tbh, I think if Orion was still around, they be on the Orion 10 by now at the very least, because remember, Orion was a few months away from producing the first Orion 8 demo buses.
As it pertains to the number of MTA Bus Nova LFS's left to be delivered, this is what's left as of 10.25.24: 9023, 9092, 9094, 9096-9104, 9120, 9123-9124, 9128, 9130, 9139, 9146, 9155, 9158, 9160-9162, 9181, 9207-9209, 9211-9215, 9226-9271 (79). As approximately 25 or so units were delivered during the month of October 2024. As of the same month, there is approximately 170 Next Gen Orion VII's left systemwide. The 173 batch of Nova LFS' is getting priority.
Yes those rosters have been updating pretty frequently JFK now has 151 units while all the MTA Bus XD40 order has been completed. It won’t be long until those LFS Coneheads you mentioned to be delivered, resulting in all the NGs to be retired. JFK, and LGA Depots have yet for their LFS Conehead deliveries to be completed.
@@Reformperson I am glad the Nova LFS deliveries have remained consistent since the Summer. 20-25 buses a month have been the norm for the last couple of months.
@@dodge1515 so far there’s no update on when they are expected to be in service. What I do know is that they are expected to be for Charleston in Staten Island. Once they solve the issues on that we could soon see LFSe+ buses on Staten Island.
It's crazy how the MTA cone order seemed so organized at first, until JFK and LGA started taking buses from each other's presumed assignments.
I’m sure 9163 & 9180 will eventually go to JFK to ease work
@@jadenmuniz8817 I really hope so

As of 10/26/2023 4276 has been sent to Eastchester Scrap, as a former LaGuardia Unit. It was sent to Zerega then to scrap.

You are welcome once again with the Orion’s! And as of today now. 4399 LaGuardia is also retired & 4276 has also been sent to scrap from Zerega
The MTA Bus Next Gens are dropping like flies
Are you going to do a video like this for NYCT?
That is the plan
So 2006 Orion 7.501 OG Clean Diesel #3563 is no longer at Eastchester scrap?
It's still there, hopefully it can be considered for preservation.
3563 one of my favorite unit OG I didn’t catch it yet, but I hope they approve it someday
4520 is still at College Point btw
Thanks, it must have recently went back there
Where’s the subway update?
Delayed sadly.

I'm still surprised 4484 was the only LGA unit to be transferred to JFK
I mean LGA did send them some other units (4257, 4365, 4445, 4680), but yeah that was the only original LGA unit to go. Either way, it's gone now
4680 was Laguardia? I thought it was formerly Manhattanville's or Stengel's before it got sent to JFK
Pray for 3563 … it’s a Diesel for a reason!🙏🏾🙏🏾
That's what I'm wondering. Are the 2 retired EPA10s gone too?
@@dodge1515 I’m not so sure about that one
That unit should still be there if I'm not mistaken

And what of the CNGs?
I ask because on the forums, they keep mentioning new CNGs are on order.
