She's such a CHAMP! She's literally the quietest & calmest dog I've ever witnessed give birth to such a large litter with huge 9 puppies. She's amazing - I love her! She'd make an excellent pet to loving family, whoever will adopt her, which I hope will be soon after she's ready for adoption.

joey, please make sure to check that she does pass all the sacs and placenta's if puppies are born out of them. If they dont pass not long after she's finished birthing she can get very sick, she doesn't have to eat all of them (she may do that without you knowing too), they just need to be no longer inside. it's pretty normal for puppies to be born out of their sac, you just have to make sure they are breathing. y'all have done a great job for this mama, I'm excited to see how many more she has. I had a dog that did this once after we thought she was done. we ended with 14 pups via one mama, we helped with feeding them and making sure they stay warm.

joey, I am a whelping foster, and when the pups aren't breathing (or are gasping) after birth, you can immediately use the bulb syringe to suction out the goop from the mouth and nose. also, immediately use a soft cloth to rub the puppy and get the blood circulating and the lungs working as well! it's interesting to me to see the different ways people whelp. some let the mamas do it, and others are more hands on. it's a widely debated topic, but I am definitely one of the more hands on! side note, I had a husky mama once, and she had 10!
Fosters make the ultimate sacrifice of letting the beastie go even though it hurts them - so they can go on to help another animal in need. I think it's the most amazingly generous beautiful thing a person can do. It must hurt so much - to love and care for them but let them go to a good family and then open your heart up to another in need beastie who they no doubt fall in love with and then have to let go over and over to keep helping,

Fosters make the ultimate sacrifice of letting the beastie go even though it hurts them - so they can go on to help another animal in need. I think it's the most amazingly generous beautiful thing a person can do. It must hurt so much - to love and care for them but let them go to a good family and then open your heart up to another in need beastie who they no doubt fall in love with and then have to let go over and over to keep helping,
definitely not ... I hope he keeps doing God's work helping foster, deliver, care for, and home the mama and babies. I am so thankful he gets to give them such a happy life. if he kept every mama animal that he bonded with it would be too much to manage and properly foster
Since they’re massive, how about naming them after Greek gods and goddesses? Zeus, Apollo, Athena, Ares, Hermes, etc.

I think you should name them nature related names. She’s familiar with the outdoors sadly but she finds comfort in it. Like autumn, sage, rosemary, pepper, hunter, fern etc

I suggested this before but I think Alaskan cities would be cute: Kenai, Juneau, Kodiak, Sitka, Nome, Cordova, Willow, Denali (National Park), etc. There's definitely a large number that would be cute! Momma could be Aurora for Aurora Borealis.

What about naming them after crystals! It's on-brand and there's SO many to choose from. You can base them off the coat patterns and match them to crystal patterns!

For the puppies born without sacs it’s vital that if you didn’t see mama pass the placentas, you get her checked over to avoid potential infection! It can be life threatening to her if left inside and she doesn’t push them out
