Joey actually inspired me to take in a stray cat we found. We didn’t know at first, but I soon realized that she was like SUPER pregnant. We ended up taking her in, and we named her Riley. A couple weeks later, she had 4 beautiful kittens, one of them was named Moon after Moony, one of Joey’s dogs, Midnight, Eclipse, and Venus. All of them now have wonderful homes. We kept the mom and Moon. And I only knew what to do because of Joey.

Omg I have cats called Eclipse and midnight who are strays which I adopted I found Eclipse with her brother ebony as kittens midnight is their mum and now Eclipse has had a litter of 3 kittens which I kept one from and recently had 2 but one was a stillborn, I'm keeping the one that was alive
This one time we found an abandoned newborn puppy it was just a day old we took it in fed it and we ended up adopting it we found out it was a female we named her sprecials

When my dog wouldn't drink enough water after having puppies, the vet had me put chicken broth in the water and she drank like crazy, just make sure it's salt free or low sodium. I made my own so there would be no salt in it, by just boiling chicken and putting the broth in the water, and I gave her the chicken which she loved. My vet also had me give her plenty of "real" meat that I cooked up for her, chicken, turkey and beef. I just put the meat in a pan with a little water, covered it and let it cook.
I wonder why they don't want to drink maybe worried about having to leave the pups to go outside to urinate.

You can soak her kibble in water so everything she’s eating has lots of moisture. Yogurt is good for milk and calcium, give her berries and oily fish like sardines as well as the calcium supplements
Dogs can be lactose intolerant sometimes. But Joey will realize pretty quickly if it gives her diarrhea. Of course I hope not, poor mama's been through so much already. My St Bernard is allergic to red meat, which seems odd for a dog but here we are. Lol

Getting her to drink more water: A few tablespoons of homemade chicken broth/stock mixed into the water does the trick for my dog. He’ll drink the whole bowl.
Or the juice from wet food works great!

We don't get a whole lot of hot weather here but when it is hot, I do the chicken broth trick too but I freeze it in some ice cube trays and pop a few cubes in the water dish. Helps with keeping them cool and hydrated at the same time.
Or milk every dog loves milk my dog never felt like water when he was a puppy and a few drops of milk and he drank it all
I think she has had babies before. The lady from Wagmore said she thought she’d had a litter already and the fact that she seemed to know what she was doing during labor. I love the nature/plant/tree themed naming of them. Thank goodness she has you. Imagine that poor girl outside, covered with ticks giving birth to 11 puppies. I’m sure some wouldn’t have made it. Thank you for having such a big heart, Joey.

I could be wrong (feel free to call me out), but I’ve worked with dogs who were subjected to having puppies for money at the ages of 10 months old (a lab with a number tattoo in her ear meant she was from a puppy mill.) Another thing is her ear being floppy could mean it’s genetic or she’s still less than three years old. Also, I work at a doggy daycare, not a vet clinic, so again, could be wrong about her having a previous litter of puppies.
Yeah and the fact that she had so many puppies is a sign she could have had more before because they don't normally have that many the first time

Man, 11 babies as a teen mom! And she is so good and attentive. It makes me sad when dogs are young mothers, but she is so lucky to have you and a safe place for her and her babies. I hope all 12 of them find the best homes ever!
Actually dogs reach sexual maturity at about 1 and a half years old, so it’s not exactly “teen birth” because most dogs are full grown and adults by 9 months.

@@TheActualGoofyGoober They don't think she's even a year old, and dog pregnancy is around 2 months so she was probably at the oldest 9 months when she got pregnant which would still make her a pretty young mom at this point.
It could be possible that she had a smaller litter prior to this one, if the family had intended on using her soley for breeding purposes.They probably started breeding her as soon as she had her first heat cycle, which explains how young she is. The fact that they dumped her tells me that she, as a young non spayed husky, most likely got out and got pregnant with a dog the family had no control over. Knowing she probably won't give birth to purebred huskies, they had no use for her and didn't want to deal with the expenses.

@@brymarlotty1325 Looks like a husky X collie to me. But probably the original family wanted a husky X collie litter but it ended up breeding with the wrong dog and there are so many, so she was dumped. :(
@@brymarlotty1325 It's not uncommon for breeders to lie to other breeders to make a sale. That could be another reason they dumped her too. If they could breed the other genetics out of the puppies to make em purebred, then It would make more sense why they dumped her if something else other than another husky bred with her.

Since they are huskies you could do winter type names, these ones I like: Alaska, Ace, Alpha, Alpine, Balto, Aspen, Avalanche, Blizzard, Glacier, January, Igloo, Anastasia, Milkshake, Winter, Yeti.
Icy would also be a cute name
Ahhhh I love these!!! Maybe add Tundra, Arctic, Togo, Kodiak, Juneau, Timber, Anchorage, Denali, And Aurora for some more winter/sled dog inspired name options too! ❄️🐺❄️🐺❄️🖤

I cant even imagine how stressful 11 puppies will be on mama, she looks so young to have so many puppies. Shes very lucky to be taken in, now her and her puppies will be able to grow up in amazing homes instead of the streets.

I don't know what has me crying more..the cuteness overload of 11 little rollie pollies or how sweet and attentive Joey is! What a true blessing you are, Joey! Momma and babies are in great hands!
I do have a concern though and you may want to mention it to the vet.. according to the AKC, vanilla ice cream is safe as a random treat, but there is a concern that dogs may not be able to digest it..many dogs are lactose intolerant and the ice cream could cause mild gastro issues. I know momma needs the calcium, but lactose free dairy products do have plenty of calcium and vitamin D. Just something I wanted to throw out there because I know you want nothing but the best for her and make sure she is safe and healthy :) You are doing an amazing job Joey!!! xoxo
I think it would be cool if you did plant themed names. Examples: Hibiscus, Fern, Peony, Ivy, Sage, Zinnia, Pansy, Moss, Petunia, Maple, Willow, Aven, Mint/Minthe, Orchid, Rose, Tulip, Jasmine, Cedar, Ash, Elm, Hickory. Etc!

You might need to weight the smallest ones even more often, because it's a common problem with big litters when the strongest ones push their siblings away from nipples and they don't get enough milk.

Goats milk is really good for them if they're running out of steam during labour and after. Kefir would also be helpful for her. She's done so tremendously well!!!! What a darling!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I really admire and appreciate Joey. You literally put so much thought, time, love and care for these animals who need you. Even though it’s over whelming, you still put your 100% for each animal you Forster WHILE having your own fur babies.

I know for a fact there's 15 of them named in the live action one (can't remember how many in the cartoon as I preferred the live action ones), plus the parents, plus the ones in 102 dalmatians - if he wanted to do that, he'd have plenty of names

These are Lucky, Thunder, Rolly, Patch, Pepper, Penny, Cadpig, Freckles, Purdy, Wizzer, Jewel, Dipstick, Two-Tone, Fidget, and Spotty! While there are 11 of them, 15 is still a reasonable amount to choose from, like the name Patch would match the puppy that looks like a cow, etc and I just think that would be so cute, while relating it to the dalmatians :)

My friend breeds larger dogs and she helps the moms by giving the babies goat's milk every other day..to give mom a break, she also gives mom some too.. you can find cans of goat's milk in the grocery stores like Albertsons, where they keep baking stuff and regular canned milk..

omg the mother is so freaking cuteeeee. whenever joey took the puppies to weigh them she always watched them and kept on making sure they were ok. she's such a wonderful mother! also, name suggestion for the mom and puppies: since the mommy is so sweet, you should name her "daisy" and name the rest of the puppies after nature names (poppy, violet, dandelion, fern, juniper, hazel, chestnut, etc.).

@Mitzy Figueroa I agree. Since the mother dog likes to be at the corner of the garden, covered in nature, I think it would fit the whole family (there’s like a whole bunch of names for them).

I cant believe theres 11 puppies!! I recently commented a name suggestion on the last video where you could name them after different stones like Ruby and Amythist or flowers like Violent and Rose, but theres so many!! I thought naming them after Disney characters would be so cute!

Joey doing this is amazing, literally no other youtuber does this and especially the fact that those puppies and the mum could have had such a bad life by possibly never having a owner and no food and essentials like that which would lead to passing away at an early age, its so sad to think about but yet is the sad reality, Joey you are amazing for doing this and you should feel proud that you just saved another family but a family of 12 even. my respect for you has gone so high, all my support to you Joey:)

You can add water to her kibble, puppy formula to her kibble, goats milk(formula or goats milk will help with calcium too, goats milk because it's usually easier on dogs stomachs than cow milk), you can add bone broth to her water(check ingredients, a lot of brands have garlic and onion), you can boil chicken and give her the water from that etc... personally I just put lots of water in my dogs kibble when I need him to be drinking a lot for whatever reason. Usually they like it better like that to boot.
She had almost double the amount lark had… she had two litters basically 😱 good luck joey you can do this!

if her ear is still flapped, i found this on google: When the dog is not treated in time, as can be the case with abandoned dogs, the ear may never lift. Unfortunately, this is often the case with stray dogs. They may have a flabby or misshapen ear due to malnutrition, fighting, illness, fungal ear infections, parasites, or other causes

I'm actually the youngest of 11 kids! No adoptions, no half siblings, and our mom raised us mostly by herself. That is one strong mama dog!

Yea that's what I was thinking too. The male puppies could be named after plants and the girls could be named after flowers.
Ex:
Male 1: Fern
Fem. 1: Rose
Male 2: Pine
Fem. 2: Orchid
Etc.
I have an 11 week old puppy I just named Posie, along those same lines. 🥰
Boys can be flowers too, jus like they can have bright happy colors
