I love the orchid spray for Hoyas but got a tip from someone to spray at the end of the day after lights go off if you have them under artificial lighting. Keeps them from burning (similar to how you wouldn’t spray leaves with neem and then put under a light) and the fertilizer works great!

you can order dropper bottles to keep some fertilizer in for easy measuring - I do this and I really recommend it, so much easier then fumbling around with the large concentrate bottle every time you feed you plants
Burnt leaves with foliar fertilizer could be caused by the wet leaves under the grow lights. I would spray then let the leaves dry before exposing to grow the lights.

I use my orchid spray on my Hoyas every other week and mine haven’t burned or anything like that. Even the ones under my grow lights! Maybe just your lights were too strong for that plant 😊💚
I use the orchid fert for all my hoya - once monthly at the time I water. I've been using this fertilizing method for all my hoya for a little over a year and I've noticed zero leaf burn. I have most of my hoya under a generic grow light strip, east facing and south facing windows. Hope that clears some of your fears surrounding that method.
You can also use the general hydroponics fertilizer for your plants in soil. It is the same measurements, but the bottles do say you can use them with soil. My plants LOVE it! If you use the orchid spray try spraying your hoyas in the evenings when your lights are off and the sun is down so it has time to absorb.

i just started using liquidirt! i also have extremely old miracle gro around here somewhere that my s.o. already had when i moved in lmao i use it for the plants we have outside.
You can, but your plant would do better with a hydroponic fertilizer. They need different ratios of nutrients when they are in water vs soil. I use the nutrients for every second water change, so about every month.
Hi Fern! Thank you for your video. Do you mix the Superthrive with the Flora Series in water? I mean, can they be added together? Thank you for your answer ☘️🌿
Can you give advice for how you move all of your plants? I’m moving soon and very nervous of what to do with my plants because I may have a week in between my current lease and the start of my new lease ahhh
Question about the general hydroponics- what ratio do you use? There are a few options on the bottle and I was curious what you use for your Thai constellation. It isn’t super clear on the bottle or on their website on what to use for house plants. I usually do the 1x1x1 ratio (general use) to be safe on my monstera albo, but I think I could increase it a bit and especially on my other LECA plants. I just don’t want to over-fertilize. I swear by General Hydroponics though. My albo pushed out 2 new leaves in 2.5 weeks as soon as I put my IKEA milsbo greenhouse cabinet together and it got the prime spot lol. I think the combo of the fertilizer and the prime conditions have it the courage the push out the leaf it had been working on since September. Anyway, thanks in advance for your advice!! So sorry for the long comment. 😬
I do the general use one as well! It comes out to such a tiny amount... like 0.10ml of each per 500ml of water. I see other people use what looks like a lot more so it could probably be upped.
@@wildfern thank you!! I've seen that online too. I usually mix up a full gallon and fertilize some of my other plants too. I usually do one drop to a larger vessel so maybe mix up more water with the one drop and then fill up your shot glass with that. I think it would be too much for such a small container. I don't ever measure but for my watering can I will put 2 drops, if that gives you any idea 😃
