Hi thank you for the video. Here is the easy way. After you get your bottle remove the cap. 1. Add 1 cup of filtered water to the bottle 2. Take the cap from the bottle, fill the cap with the Liqui-Dirt 3. Add this to your gallon of water. 4. Take about 2 tbls half a shot glass or so and add that to every plant after you water. That's it. Each bottle of Liqui-Dirt makes 50 gallons and for houseplants that's equal to 6,400 applications. Liqui-Dirt has every vitamin mineral essential nutrient folate fulvic acid and the full bio complex with micro fungi packs for your plants. I hope this helps? We have been fine tuning our instructions a bit so our new packaging is a bit simpler then before. It hard to give instructions for every possible use. But the rule of thumb is that Liqui-Dirt can not harm plants at any concentration. So don't worry about it and just get some on your plants... They can only benefit from the application. Best growing and I liked watching and learning about your plant journey.
hi!! if you are still new to liquid dirt then its like this: pouch- add 1 cup of cold water. this = your "concentrate" pour a capful of this into 1 gallon of water. this = your mixture. then add some mixture (maybe 1 tablespoon?) into your watering can to feed your babies. hope this helps a bit!! i watched harli g & recommend her : )
I can totally relate! I’ve been on the fence about liqui-dirt b/c here in Canada I can’t seem to get it cheaper than $54. I think I’m going to bite the bullet and invest b/c I’ve been noticing that many of my plants are starting to look a bit off (yellowing leaves, etc), yet the only thing that has changed is the outside weather. Thanks for making this video!
I know this video is pretty old, but I wanted to let you know that I've just subscribed and that this video made me feel better about fertilizers. It seemed like my journey was similar to yours in the way of trying a variety of fertilizers that didn't seem to make my plants happy. I have Begonias only, and they were super sad with Miracle Gro Fertilizers. I now have Liquidirt and just watered this weekend. I already agree with your observation that you had with your String of Turtles. My Beefsteak was a light green and kind of splotchy. Now after one day, it darkened. I compared the before picture with the plant, and sure enough, it is darker green. I am so relieved! After watching your video, I took pictures of all my plants so that I can compare them in a week. WOOT!
The best option you mentioned was the miracle grow liquid it’s a General house plant fertilizer that you mix in with your water lt is safe to use every time you water as long as you don’t water your plant more then once a week if you have plants you water twice a week then only fertilize every other time it’s the easiest way and your plants will be greener and healthier too
I’m a fertilizer collector 🤣. I do use different fertilizers but the one I use the most is the Miracle-Gro liquid fertilizer. It’s synthetic but it’s very gentle. I use it in very diluted amounts for my all plants. I even use it for plants that are in water. My peace lily is constantly pushing out new leaves so that it the fertilizer I use for it. I also use the spikes but I break them in little pieces. For a 4” pot I only use like 1/4 of a spike to prevent over fertilizing.
Sounds like you have a system down!! The sticks are confusing because they say something like 1 stick for every 4 inches... 1/4 like you’re doing seems like a safer bet
@@TatesPlants I didn't even know that I could fertilize during the winter. I got most of my plants last month and one this month and they are growing like crazy... I haven't fertilized them once... is that bad ??
Nope it’s totally not a problem!! Like I said in the vid most nursery soil has slow release fertilizer in them that lasts for 6 months. Also an important thing to note: most plants will not die from underfertlizing, they just won’t thrive like they could have. Hope that all makes sense that was sort of rambly 😅
Yesss!!! I love liquidirt. My plants LOVE IT!!!!!! I was super confused too but then I saw that harli g posted a video explaining how she uses it and it made it so much easier for me. Been using it for a couple months now and it's super easy! Thanks for this video! I have felt the exact same way about fertilizing before!
Hi, Im not sure how your fertilizer journey is going but something you should know is fertilizer accumulates and its important to water until runoff to rid any accumulated salts every once in a while. You should also look into proper ph to water with. Good luck
I can relate to this video, I struggle with fertilizers as well... I bought the liquid dirt last week and I’ll start to use it now, I can’t wait to see my plants getting happier 😊
i’m dying rn bc of how similar and accurate your fertilizing journey was to mine 😭 i remember opening the fish fertilizer for the first time and never opening it again..
For Liqui-dirt: 1) Add a premeasured amount water to the powder in the original package to form the concentrate. 2) Add one capful of this concentrate to a gallon of water to form the mix. 3) Add 8 tablespoons of this mix to another gallon of water to form your regular watering water. The color of this water should change just a little and because it’s do dilute it is safe to use every time you water.
I just found your channel and this video feels like talking to a friend so relaxing and also you look so pretty! So you bet I’m going to binge watch today 😝
I worked at a plant nursery many years ago, and at least once a week people would notice the time-release Osmocote balls in their new plant's soil and demand a refund because they thought they were infested with snail eggs.
Omg 😂 I found an actual snail in my plant… unfortunately I hadn’t watered the plant in a LONG time and the poor snail dried up too🥺🥲 🐌 that was when I discovered it…
one of the best products i used to grow plants i only use a cap full to 5 gallons of water but my water is out of a fish tank not from the tap so already has nutrients the irt adds what the fish tank don't have
When I heard you say...summer rain is smart but her talking about fertilizer goes over your head...I immediately subscribed!! Lol I knew I was home lol
A pretty girl and pretty plants, what's not to like😁 Have you tried biochar in your pots. You really squirted miracle grow directly...you made that up right 😄 coffee grounds are okay. Do you have artificial light? Seaweed/fish for the win....all the fertiliser we dump in the sea is returned lol
OMG!!! I was doing plant chores and saw your lipstick out of the corner of my eye and my mouth dropped. Lipstick that works with redhair is so hard to find
The start of her video hooked me today. Her telling us she’s wearing lipstick 💄 today and picking the absolute best shade she could ever wear in her life and just nailing it so well.☺️ It’s the hair and lip color perfectly matching for me! Team Rehead! Anyway let me listen now, sounds like it’s getting pretty good.
i have a 50-gallon fish tank filled with guppy's it is my only source of water for plants add a small amount of this product liqui dirt to the water i take out and see the best growth you ever seen and a nice fish tank to look at
I really related to this video. My sister swears by those fertilizer spikes. I tried them, not for me. I used the miracle grow liquid and I sprayed it right on the soil too. So I fertilized my plants which at the time were just a bamboo and some succulents and they all died :( I saved one stem of my bamboo and it looks really happy now. So I'm slightly afraid of fertilizing but I do feel you on wanting to feed them and give thing something to make them happy. I think I'll try this fertilizer. Thanks :)
Aww I’m so sorry that happened! How much did you fertilize? It’s not common that fertilizing once would kill plants, it would most likely be over watering if it happened that quickly!!
@@TatesPlants well I've since learned that bamboo don't really need fertilizer at all but it was also probably just way too much. Lol, it's a learning process. And the fertilizer I used for the succulents and cacti was confusing and I may have put too much too soon as well. Tiny pellets that dissolved into soil for those. The other is just miracle grow liquid plant food like all purpose.
Ughhh where do we start the numbers refer to Npk nitrogen for strong leaf growth ,p phosphate for strong roots and k for potassium for flowers fruits and general health. A 12,6,30 would be a high potassium feed good for flowering plants 10-10-10 a balanced feed with equal parts of each nutrient is really good for all plants and is the best if you want one feed for everything. A 24-8-16 is a high nitrogen feed good for leafy plants to much nitrogen can stop plants from flowering. Liquid dirt how are plants going to absorb the nurseries? Faddy nonsense. Fish emulation is a high nitrogen feed. I would suggest a balanced chemical feed this will give a good balance of growth and flowers. A seaweed tonic will help also.
Giiiiirl. That lipstick is your color. It looks hella good!!!!
Hahaha thank you heather!! I don’t ever wear lipstick so it’s the only one I own lawllll
