One more thing.. Having once wasted a brand new cylinder, I would just check before finally screwing in the new one, that the firing pin is not protruding to be sure, to be sure!

My A/M self inflatable life jacket specifically states in the manual to NOT STORE WET and to NOT STOW IN BOAT to prevent accidental inflation.
Jacket should be stored in a COOL, DRY, place when not being used.
Just sayin'
Oh! BTW, those $200 Mustangs will also auto-inflate when not stored properly!

Or just buy the manual only conversation kit. Most of the Onyx PFD's in this style are A/M for Automatic/Manual Only and come with everything you need to change it back and forth.

When you buy the full replacement kit it comes with the new bobbin and I highly suggest that you replace it. If you don't the old one could easily fail and go off when you didn't want it to.

I wondered the same because it looks like the co2 cartridges for bike pumps will thread the same. I think $20 for a cartridge is insane.
