DON'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE!!! - How to Rearm & Repack the Bass Pro 35AUTO Inflatable Life Vest

I made this video to explain a major costly mistake that can be made with storage of the Bass Pro 35AUTO Inflatable Life Vest. I explain how to avoid this mistake plus show how to rearm, repack, and reload the life vest using the proper replacement kit. This life vest is discontinued but many are still in use today as it was and still is a very popular life vest. I hope this video helps others understand the rearming process as well as helps avoid the same mistake I made.
The kit used to replace the CO2 cartridge & bobbin is the Leland Limited 35AUTO 33-Gram Rearming Kit, purchased off the Bass Pro Website for $24.99.

Good info! I had the same thing happen to me. I was struggling to get the bobbin off the stem because that material was still inside, but then I realized that I could just run it under water to dissolve what was left and it slid right off.

Thanks for the video, I’ve been trying to rearm my BBS A/M 33 and when I went to put my co cartridge in my vest inflated. Watching your video I see that there is no seal that you mentioned at 7:30 .
What does that seal look like, is it just a rubber O-ring ?

Glad it helped! Yes it’s a small black rubber O-ring that seals the cartridge in place tightly. I didn’t know there was one in there until I started replacing the cartridges. There is a chance that life vest might not, with one but likely it should

When you remove the bobbin? Put it back? Does it work without ?

You have to replace the bobbin anytime you replace the cartridge. And should replace them at least every five years even if they don’t go off is the recommended timeframe. No it does not work without it. Thanks for the comments!
