One thing not mentioned the A/M 24 (Automatic / Manual) has a built in kit inside a pocket near the CO2 cylinder. It contains a yellow plastic cap that converts the vest to Manual Pull only. You unscrew the bottom Bobbin assembly , replace with the Manual plastic cap and the vest will only inflate when the Red lever is pulled. Great for paddle boarding , wake boarding, surfing or water activities where you plan on getting wet, and not being knocked unconscious.
Does anyone have any idea how long a cartridge last? I’ve had my Mustang life jacket 12 years ago and it’s never been deployed. I was just curious if they needed changed after so long whether it was deployed or not. Thanks
Excessive humidity or moisture will dissolve the “bobbin” which is just a salt wafer. That lets the spring drive a pin into the top of the CO2 cartridge
If anyone else finds the bobin hard to get out, I just rinsed it with water which dissolved the rest of the material and made it easy to get out.
Thanks for the how to video. I left my jacket in my kayak overnight and it rained woke up to find it exploded 😂. Bone head move.

Yessir! This is something I should have mentioned! Thanks for the info
I lost my plastic cap after tipping over in my kayak . Does that plastic cap come with the service kit?
Very cool backyard. I am jealous!!
Haha thanks!
Good video. Was fumbling with the bobbin, but got it back together. Thanks.
No problem. Thanks for watching!
Great video! I did mine earlier this year!
Thanks man! Figured I'd shoot a video while I was at it!
Good job, including where to find the replacement cartridge kit, thanks
Yes sir! Thanks for the good feedback!

HAHA!!
Great job buddy
Thank you for the positive feedback! I appreciate it!
How do I get the air out
Deflate the jacket by turning the inflation tube cap upside down and pressing the one way valve to release all of the air.

It shouldn't need replaced but you can take the bobbin out and examine it to make sure the salt tablet is still in tact! Better safe than sorry!
Replace it after you test it. Let us know if it was still good.
Onyx web site says 3 years. Mine is 5 years old and stored in outdoor shed w/gear , it inflated this summer on it's own.
Thanks so much.
Thanks for watching!
I wonder how it went off

Thanks for watching!
What is that white-ring called? I am searching that for my lalizas sigma
Salt bobbin
When you screw the co2 cartridge in does it puncture the cartridge then or does it get wet and puncture it.
Thanks bud
No problem!
How do I deflate the jacket
Take the black cap off of red deflation tube. Flip cap upside down and deflate it, rearm it then pack it!
thanks man!
Same shit happened to me. I learned it the hard way
I always learn things the hard way 😆
Murazik Ways

Yessir. Thank you for watching and commenting!
summer time humidity will activate these devices when stored in garages after a few seasons
I didn't even think about that! Thanks for tuning in!
