    Transmission fluid is a very good rust remover, and is designed to not interact with most metals. I work as an auto mechanic. You can take a rusted husk of a part, or tool and drop in in trans fluid for an hour and it will come out without a spec of rust. a micro drop on a rust spot is enough. Maybe this could be helpful to you. Its fairly easy to clean off with any cleaning fluid that will mix with the trans fluid and make it loose its viscosity. such as alcohol.

    Thermalright makes some of the best pads on the market. Gelid's GP Extreme pads are also very good too and very similar to Odyssey pads in terms of performance/firmness in case you ever need an alternative.

    • @Dandan-tg6tj
      @Dandan-tg6tj ปีที่แล้ว

      There's humidity absorbers you can use in a PC case right where the air is going inside the case. You need to configure the intake on one single place and the exhaust everywhere else and put the humidity absorber near intake. Rice is doing some good job but you need something like a linear multi-layer filter for that to be efficient so maybe a few layers of rice along the path of air intake would do the trick. It won't take all humidity out, obviously but it will take a lot.

      You cut it with pliers then you sand the tip properly. After you sand the tip, don't forget to get rid of all of the very tiny pieces of metal (sanding makes those) before you use it.

    As much as I hate to say it and even though I love EVGA, something is going on with all 30 series cards as they get a lot corroted, I've come across XC3s and FTW3s that the heatsink and ports are all full of rust. And it isn't just coincidence, a guy had around 40 cards mining in a warehouse, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI were all fine and the EVGAs were all covered in rust and the heatsink flaking off

    • @Dandan-tg6tj
      @Dandan-tg6tj ปีที่แล้ว

      Of course it can. You need an eeprom programmer, a hot air station, skills and to never ever again do this yourself until you learn what you need to know to find a BIOS that really matches the card. If you find a BIOS for a Gigabyte RTX 1240 it does not mean it is working on yours even if it is a Gigabyte RTX 1240. Send the card to this man and he will have it fixed for you.

      I went with Thermal Grizzly. Not the best, but still better than stock.
      Worst part for me was, when i had to use multiple sizes. 1mm for VRAM, 1,5mm for VRM and backplate VRAM, 3mm for backplate VRM. Too bad i can´t just remove the backplate and use my GPU without it, as fan shroud is mounted to it.
      I´m considering doing a deshroud, just for fun. If i´ll be successful, then i´ll gladly remove the backplate too.

    I offered to try fixing a pc for friend's father who's apparently a heavy smoker. The amount of tar, dust and God only knows what else that was caked inside and out was unlike anything I've seen. I had to clean my own USB drive I put in a rear port before realizing how bad it really was. To make matters worse, even the exhaust fan was installed backwards as an intake. Even my trusty red can, a little brake cleaner and a soft toothbrush struggled but eventually that's all that was wrong.
    Most of it was bad contact but I think it may have somehow interferred with some components. I don't know if it's possible for build-up to eventually add capacitance or slight conductivity to sensitive areas but it definitely seemed to be doing something. Absolutely disgusting.
