One other thing I do is limit my frame rate with Nvidia Inspector or RivaTuner. If you’re not into online competitive gaming, capping your framerate helps to conserve GPU power by not wasting overused frames, thereby lower your temp.

This is the video I been looking for. I been changing the thermal paste once every year. Just like changing your engine and transmission oil on the car. Easy tip for everybody. No need to open or change anything in your pc. When opening a game, limit the fps to 60 or lower instead of letting your pc go up to 100 and more fps. If you don't have a 144 hertz monitor you don't need those fps, it's like having lost fps in exchange of making your gpu work more. Now if you do have a 144 hertz monitor you have to decide, what do you prefer. 144 fps or having lower temps on your gpu? Your choice. Another way of doing this is by activating v-sync or if the game doesn't let you limit fps. Go to your nvidia panel or amd panel and in 3d settings, choose the application you want to limit is framerate. There are lots of videos on how to do that if you don't know how.

If you can do all these things like adding new thermal paste, maybe an exhaust fan as well, I know some pc's do not have them which is a little strange, you should get a lot lower temps. Also, go into your pc's control panel and make some adjustments there in the global settings and you should be straight.

Seems like a nice vid. I just have 1 question. Why use GPU usage and temp adjuster on Zotac, when MSI afterburner seems to have it too?

Does creating custom fan curve with msi afterburner can affect your gpu in the long term? Or damage it?

What fine-tuning software do I use if I have the Nvidia rtx 3060 ti founder's edition? I'm assuming I can't use the Zotac one you used above? Nice video btw!

I tried the last suggestion, but I disabled the link between the power and the temp limit and set the power to 100% and GPU temp to 65. I was getting up to 83 c; now I am at 72 average with highs of 75. I noticed the clock speed is a bit lower, but I don't feel a noticeable difference. Thanks for the video man!

My 1070ti stock is maxing out at 84c and thermal throttling. Undervolted to 0.881v @1886Mhz, max temps is now at 75c on 30mins Heaven Benchmark. Got better scores too compared to stock.

MSI Afterburner helped so much now I run this demanding game at 74-76 degrees, when it used to run at 80-84 degrees, I don't mind the noise since I got headphones.
