Direct and to the point. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
This is a savour bro. I grabbed one of these and It's been taking me forever to learn this camera and Sony at the same time. Much more familiar with Canon and other cameras. So much still to learn on this camera and to set it properly but I think once figured out it can probably get some seriously nice results.
Glad to hear the video was helpful! 👍👍
Amateur photographer here. This was VERY helpfull. Thank you!!
Great to hear! Thanks 🙌
Bookmarked. Mine is fairly new, so thanks a million for that!
Thanks! Glad you liked the video!
I just started shouting with the A7III. Thanks for the video!
Nice one! Hope you'll have fun with this camera! 👍
Very helpfull thanks a lot
Glad to hear you liked the video!
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 👍
Thank you
You're welcome
Great tips thanks so much. Can I ask which 3 legged L bracket you are using? Much appreciated.
Happy to hear you liked the video! This is the L Bracket I'm using and 100% recommend for the Sony a7iii: amzn.to/43B4BNv
thanks for the effort and the sharing. do you think the 2018 released A73 is still relevant or would you suggest the A74? thumbs up.
Thanks! I made a video about the a7iii: th-cam.com/video/3yk_YgkaWGo/w-d-xo.html
In short, it's still a great camera. But depends on your needs and budget.
I have a probleme with the record button and I would like to change it to c3 please
Nice video break down.🔥🔥🔥 can you tell me do you shoot on the M dial or the movie dial? For cinematic video
I use the memory mode dials (1 & 2) for shooting video. I have those setup for 1) shooting 25fps normal video and 2) 120fps slow motion video.
But if you're just shooting wanting to shoot video, I would suggest using the movie dial.
@@SightseeingStan big help man thanks I also subbed to your channel keep up the great work
8:02 any idea why I only have 18 pages and can't find "Eye AF"? I'm on the latest firmware.
Hey there, @2:34 you show the changes to the shutter, iso and aperture.. I can’t find how to do this on screen… please help 😢😅
more tutorials for Sony a7iii please
What other topic would you be interested in Dan?
@@SightseeingStan Preface this with I'm only a beginner. best set up (depending on photo genre) , I like the camera but the menu is quite dense - not sure what sort of things I should be ignoring and what settings I should be tinkering with - how to simplify the approach?. I know you are trying to blast through some info, could you go into more depth within some of your chapters - why and when or not would I use focus peaking or exposure zebras. I've noticed when I go manual some features are not available - not sure why. Apologies - too many questions. Thank you
@@dandobbins99 I will look into making a video regarding these topics! Could be interesting for others as well 👍
What lens is better for sony a7iii between 35mm 1.4 vs 50mm 1.4
Depends what you use it for
How do you upgrade the firmware, I’m new to SONY. Thanks
Set USB Connection to "Mass Storage" (Menu - setup 4).
Connect to computer via USB-C
Download firmware from Sony website
Open the downloaded file and follow instructions
I am having some budget issues so can I go for sony a7ii.. or I should wait and make money for a7iii?
I would suggest waiting for the a7iii 👍
this applies to a7riii to bossman?
I would say for the most part yes!
Thanks for the video, but oh boy, how convoluted is this camera. Mine i still in the box, I sold all my Canon gear before a trip. Now have to work it out quickly for job...yikes!
Thank you! Good luck with your new cam 👍
@@SightseeingStan Thanks 2!
al my collors are grey when i started putting these settings
It's because of S-Log 2 (PP7). It's a flat color profile that requires color grading when you edit. If you don't want that, it's better not to use this picture profile.
@@SightseeingStan but does it eventually make the photos better if you know how to do that in my case
@@bjornvanveen3746 Sorry I thought you were talking about video. For photos I wouldn't use any picture profile. But if you shoot in RAW (instead of JPEG) you will also get a flatter image (less color, less contrast) but with more dynamic range in the data. Again here, the idea is to then edit your image and bring out the colors and contrast to your taste. If you are not interested in doing that, you should shoot in Jpeg.
I really wish photo mode settings would not transfer to video and vice versa on the A7iii - so annoying!
as soon as i heard you pick slog 2 for color profile for 8bit camera that's where i quit the video
Cool.
What is wrong with slog 2? I’m genuinely interested in knowing.
@@Huldrui may be wrong, but i don’t think he knows what he’s talking about. he could have had a point if he said SLog3, which is a great colour profile, but because of the bit rate on the a7iii, the profile is too advanced to work properly on the camera, but slog2 works great. also profiles are very much an opinion type thing and i use HLG for most of my stuff (i also have an a7iii)
Slog3 isn’t good for a7iii, it gives so much noise
Slog 2 in low light conditions on this camera is bad, but in bright ligthing conditions IT should be fine
