Amazing video. I bought an a73 last year and I've been using it for social media conent mostly, such as food photography, real estate, lifestyle and reels. And for social media content, is such a good camera even in 2024. If you want a full frame camera, the a73 a pretty good entry pro hybrid camera for the budget. If you don't mind having a 2 sd card slot, get the a7c I.
Absolutely love your videos my guy you've helped me so much with your work over the last few months. I have the A7III and wanted to know if I as missing out not getting the FX30 for my content creation. My only real gripe is the A7III doesn't have a screen that flips but as far as quality I'm happy with what I got after seeing this. Thank you for posting the exact video I was looking for
i have to say taht even if the color sience have been corrected after the A7III there is also something you dont talk about, Is the Slog3 is really optimized for 10bit, while for the 8Bit Slog2 perform way better, and that color shifting may be exagerated by the fact that Slog3 on the A7III is not recommended to use even if its available in the camera.
...and the final answer. Which camera, the A7iii or the FX30? Having tested both, for video (and stills) the correct answer is...drum roll..... the Panasonic S5iiX, hand''s down with 2.0 firmware.
@@alexandershadyy 1000% agree. Try shooting hand held video with Sony IBIS, and weird colors, no 6K, no C4k, no waveform, none of the other VIDEO assist tools. Panasonic, feature for feature, crushes the competition, with the best Log profile.
I sold my s5II, electric noise when you plug a microphone imposible to remove in post, un usable normal color profiles with a lot of digital sharpness impossible to remove, and weird noise reduction that make all the texture disappear. No thanks
Hey Kensei, for your low light performance, did you add denoise to the footages? I’ve come to find my FX30 is noisier compared to my A7iii at 12,800. I understand full frame will always have a better low light capability but from your test, the FX30 looks a lot better.
I think it's technology gap. Sensor size matters, so does sensor tech. For some reasons, FX30 is always pitted against full frame cameras, not other APSC. That's how good the sensor is.
This was a really interesting video. I have the a73 and I was actually wondering if it was worth it to get the fx30 since it's a crop sensor. Thanks man!
Crazy thing is I have a a7 III and I mostly shoot It with crop lenses like the apsc 35 1.8 in full frame mode with clear image zoom at 1.2 just to get rid of the vignette😂 I don't mind super 35 I just can't afford an fx3
for video fx30 for photos and semi ok video id recommend a7iii, the fx30 is a hard sale because you really need extra batteries (preferably a Vmount, the memory cards cost about 15% of the camera's value to get the fully use of the video formats) with that said I have both I love the A7iii for photography and have filmed 2 music videos with it. the most noticeable different for video comes in the editing both can be graded how ever the fx30 10bit has easily way more range which means you wanna make sure you set up the A7iii perfectly for the shoot as the room for mistakes is harsh while the fx30 feels like shooting raw and if you combine it with ninja and shoot in prores raw your in for a treat, but even this requires downing money on apple hardware to edit as to my knowledge their isnt a windows software that natively works with prores raw I recommend if you learning photography and video get the Panasonic GH5 II or GH6 but if you want something really good at photography and want some decent video options get the A7III and if you want pro level features and want an upgradable video platform go with the FX30 also other things to think about is A7III lens will set you back $500-$1000 aud more than MFT or APS-C lens
Thanks, but who in the heck would be thinking about an A7III in 2024? And even less if they are thinking about doing video? Just the 8 Bit color is a no go from the get start with the A7III.
When it comes to color difference, i find this to be very irrelevant. You can legitimately tweak every single color in the picture profile settings. If you have a color chart under good lighting, you can tweak the color to be as accurate as it can get. But for total beginners, the color results of the image processing do make a big difference.

Love your camera reviews. It feels so nostalgic for me when you walk through those familiar looking neighborhoods in Japan... 乾杯!

Panasonic S5iiX, Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K, or Sigma fp. Used Sigma fp is super cheap and provides raw footsge.
Woooo let’s go babyy
S5iiX a lot better! 6K quality, colors, good autofocus, best IBIS, codecs!!!

Thanks for the video comparative! 🙌🏻
6:04 Gang Starr moment 😉
Thanks for watching!
I have always been waiting for someone like you 🎉
All cameras have their own strengths and limitations! Skills are the key factor!
Can I compare the a7iii with the a6700? What is the best hybrid choice?
This was a really interesting video. I have the a73 and I was actually wondering if it was worth it to get the fx30 since it's a crop sensor. Thanks man!
I'm so glad that I dropped this today 😀

thank you
Slog 2 probably better for the 7iii
Please Review Canon EOS R6 Mark II
Was thinking about selling my a7iii for the fx30
for video fx30
for photos and semi ok video id recommend a7iii,

I recommend if you learning photography and video get the Panasonic GH5 II or GH6
but if you want something really good at photography and want some decent video options get the A7III
and if you want pro level features and want an upgradable video platform go with the FX30
also other things to think about is A7III lens will set you back $500-$1000 aud more than MFT or APS-C lens
I want to buy a fx30
Get it get it

Fx30 por favor 😅
I like your content
Thank you!!
BOSS I'M HERE🙋
Glad you are here 🔥
Great intro
Is it a waste to own both ?
Then, get A7IV instead
