- In this video we are taking a close look at one of our more popular dash cams, the Momento M6.
The Momento M6 Dual Dash Cam System comes with both a front and rear facing cameras for 270 degrees of visual coverage. All video footage is then saved onto an included 32GB micro-SD card. You can access your footage by removing the card or you can use the free Momento app.
The Momento app allows you to edit your footage, store video clips you want to keep and share them directly to social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and TH-cam. The M6 will also keeps a travel log you can access through the app, which monitors drive time vs park time, mileage, speed and any impact events that may have happened on the way. It then pairs this data with your video files so you can find the images you want faster.

Could U buy more then one backup cam to add dual side cams for protection/recording for break-ins?
I see a button for a "mic" on the back. Does it record inside the car as well? The manual says nothing about it.
Are we able to zoom in & out while viewing a saved video?

I have had many issues with the wifi connection honestly, the app keeps looping me back to connect when its already connected. :(

General question 🤔I have a 2021 gmc Sierra truck, which it has the option for wifi that I'm paying for including onstar ,only when I'm driving because when I'm parked, the wifi shuts off, will momento me still record while being in a parking lot or even at home when not driving?

How do you send a copy of the video from the scene to a victim?
Can you use the rear camera inside, or can you buy an additional camera for the inside?
An additional camera is used on the inside that is not included. It is an "infrared" IR camera with little white bulbs in a circle. They usually go for about $60. It can be hooked up to the M6 setup already installed. It is a genuine Momento product designed to work with their systems.
@@YFZriderdude15 Thank you!! Its really a shame in this day and age that you need to cameras to protect yourself. I worry more about the police than anything.
@@stephenthompson3723 I had multiple people brake check me _hard_ last month alone. I don't remember that ever being an issue. Seems like people are going crazy from this pandemic.
@josh p I did not attempt installation of this system myself. I paid a car electronics/stereo shop $130 to install it for me. It is possible to install yourself, but you will need to remove the ceiling trim in your car and wire the front and rear cameras together, and then to the power source.. all while climbing around awkardly inside the cabin of your car. Then, you'll need to put the ceiling trim back on while fighting gravity to make sure the wire stays where you want it to, and doesn't get caught on anything in the process.
I decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Of course, you could avoid messing with the ceiling trim by running the wires inside the cabin somewhere in plain sight.. but that would look like shit. Definitely not recommended.
I just installed this system myself and I mounted the rear camera to my front dash facing into the cab. I'd rather capture the cab the the rear of the vehicle.

Yes
currently the app is a nightmare as it doesn't recognize the device worth beans at this price.

Can’t get if yo record anything
I upgraded my cell phone and unfortunately my momento m6 password did not populate to the new iPhone. Does anyone here remember what the DEFAULT password of the momento m6 is? TIA.
I purchased a Momento M6 in June of 2022
and yesterday Sept 2nd had a hit and run driver ram tge passengers side of my Jeep Wrangler while driving the wrong way on a one way street .. When I rewound the video to give to the responding police officer I found that the quality of the video was total crap .. On neither the front view or the rear view was the clarity clear enough to make out the license plate of the car .. An very disgusted that I paid $600 thru Car Toys to have the camera system installed for situations like what just occurred ..
I don’t disagree with you. The Momento M7 is very good quality, however it lacks Wi-Fi. I compared it with a m6.
This Momento I installed recently , but doesn't connect to the internet , Even if connect the internet it get disconnected immediately , It has a several issues , The guy is misleading the viewers for his company benefits , I gonna sue this company for selling underrated garbage product in the market
