I purchased this 4 piece door sill trim plate kit on Amazon for around $100. These can be installed in about 30-60 minutes.

Now what I did to not bang the door on my garage wall I placed some pvc pipe insulation on the wall horizontally on the wall with double sided tape believe me it protects the paint.

How are these holding up after 2 years? Are they all scuffed up by now? Any rust?
Couple scratch marks but no rust. Still look really good
@@joshbarnett7153 Thanks, good to know. Might pull the trigger on a set as well. Do you think they would be easily replaceable say after 5+ years? Or would it be a big pain in the ass to remove and replace them?
@@KingRockets they come with 3M double sided mounting tape attached but should be able to remove them if needed, you would probably need to heat them up and use some fishing line

The "..pulling the 3M tape out from under the partially installed sill plate.." doesn't work.
The tape tears away completely a couple inches down the length. So there's that.
