  • Hello guys, Today I am showing you guys a sound comparison on before and after of the Turbo Muffler Delete on my 2016 Volkswagen Jetta GLI MK6.5 EA888.3.

    I have a model identical to yours until the year 2016, I just closed the air outlets on the original mufler delete that will generate air turbulence when the turbine is pressurizing, and put it back together! The result was very good, I felt the car very fast and instant response with the pedal pressed. But the question remains: You changed the mufler delete + the pipe that connects to the Inter cooler correct?! Can you tell me if you noticed an expressive gain ( CV) - ( hp ) in the output and in the resumes with the pedal at 100% pressed and if the fuel consumption increased a lot?       To be honest all I noticed was better throttle response and Turbo sounds louder

      @@TheeGTIGuy Strange, I noticed a much stronger and instantaneous output when stepping on the pedal! And I confess that on the road the result in performance was remarkable and as for fuel economy or not on the road it was 17.8 km/liter and in the city in the walking and stop situation it was: 10.0 - 12.2 approximately, temperature Ambient 23º degrees fueled with Race gasoline 95% octa

      @@Moises-lr3hc I probably didn't notice it then with my Stage 2 tune. But anyways I'm glad you experienced gains. And you're welcome 🙏. I've heard about the Brazilian Biagio Turbo swaps done to these cars.

      @@ArkECSGO Yes! I closed the two air outlets that created the turbulence when the turbine was under pressure.Yes! I closed the two air outlets that created the turbulence when the turbine was under pressure. The throttle response and turbo leg of the turbine have improved a lot! Practically the replacement is instantaneous, because I also installed the gfb DV+ valve. If you can, take a look at my link that I made available here:

      @@Random63R400 so yeah, the Dsg farts were added and sounds crazy 🤣 and I'm not sure about launch control, I rarely drive my car without traction control so I wouldn't be able to tell but when I launch it, it launches. You can definetly feel the difference compared to stock. Stage 2 makes it feel like a total different car.

    Do the 2012 mk6 GLIs have turbo mufflers???

      It would be on the charge side of the turbo, you will have to removed the piping to see. Look where it connects the pipe to the turbo and if there are bolts there then there is a turbo muffler. If I'm not mistaken I believe your engine is the ea888 gen 1 and it has a different turbo. I wouldn't be to sure but check to see.

    Im wondering if i could get people's feedback about how a normal DSG should feel. I got a 14 GLI with DSG. Since i got it ive felt like 1st gear is a bit laggy. It feels like a regular Manual car in the sense that is not smooth. I serviced the transmission fluid at 50k miles. I had issues and got a new camshaft, new tensioner and new timing kit replaced. I would get an EPC light and throttle would not respond unless Id turn the car off then on. So the mechanic found that a line in the turbo came loses hence the car going into EPC safety mode. So now hes saying i may need DSG clutches replaced (non VW mechanic) and car now had 75k miles. When i got the transmission fluid changed by a vw mechanic he said DSG feels normal but now im worried if i need clutches this car is a money pit. My 07 SRT8 is super reliable no issues AT ALL. So how does DSG in good order feel like? Ive driven a 1.8t with normal auto and is night and day, do all dsg feel like a manual/kinda laggy ? (not extreme by any means)

      My dsg has a stage 2 tcu tune and feels straight up like a manual. It's all about when the gear switch the main thing about the DSG is for them to switch fast and smooth. If you're really worried about it it's best to open that sucker up, check all the gear teeth and make sure the clutches aren't worn. Best of Luck and hope this helps 🙏

      @@TheeGTIGuy hmmm so sounds like they should feel a bit like a manual. Maybe these mechanics arent too familiar with the way a DSG should feel like. The VW mechanic who I took it to a while back said it felt normal. But ill take it again. I mean is almost at 80k anyway so is time for another tranny fluid change

      @@TheeGTIGuy hey brother ...update. Finally fixed. The DSG was fine. I found a vw mechanic that does side jobs at home and turned out to be the wastegate suck open, and also, the ecu needs to be programmed by vw telling it the timing chain got changed...that was a change starting 2014 models. So i bought a new (stock) turbo on ebay for 650 and finally all good!! I even got APR stage 1 bc APR discontinued stage 2 due to EPA strict laws but what a difference

      @@TheeGTIGuy its amazing!!! I installed it the same day i got the turbo, right before i dropped it off at the mechanic. I felt a difference but not much but i knew i had a bad turbo. After the new turbo...holy hell lol. So now i plan on upgrading fmic, diacharge pipes and the cts big turbo and do stage 3...but all in all ive spent about 4 grand in repairs lol so im going to buy everything 1 at a time. Is there an intercooler you recommend?

    Is it best to get a stage 2 Tune before or after upgrading the exhaust? Or all at once

      Its better after, need it for the increase flow and power

    so what did this add after you installed it? did it make the car louder? did it make the turbo louder did it do both

      It honestly made the turbo whistle more. I didn't notice any muffler difference as I have a full aftermarket exhaust. But the spooling sounds like a diesel truck.

      @@kaydenchap10 I got a great deal on it and I feel like it was worth it. If you do this upgrade the pancake pipe. It will be better for throttle response and they benefit each other. I have a video on the installs of both of these. Hope it helps 🙏

      @@TheeGTIGuy Thank you, I'm about to start working on the vehicle and ordered a complete CTS setup (charge pipe, intake, muffler delete, intercooler), plus unitronic stage 1+ and wanted to make sure this mod won't mess with the sensor.

      @@davidtirado7087 youre welcome,I did the muffler delete and Outlet pipe install on my other video. Now for the throttle pipe be patient as the silicone is very stiff to attach the pipe to and will be a pain in the butt.       yes sir, it’s the same motor as our 1.8t a lot of models have the EA888 motor just some are tuned differently from factory 😁

    You are in a garage no duh it sounds louder. It’s a turbo inlet pipe nothing is making it louder

      I hear what you say, I did change that pipe, I also changed the turbo muffler. Daily driving I can hear the difference. I have also deactivated the soundaktor to compare the sound as well. Hopefully if you go this route you will notice the change.
