    So just exhaust and converter? For an 11.1? That’s flying

    If guys are going to have an automatic, this is the only kind to have. Tap the gas and light 'em up instantly. No lag, no slop, no bog, snappy shifts.

      It does not behave like that at all, did you not see the video... You have to floor it to get those 5k RPM up there. Only difference is that the RPMs do not drop down to like 2 or 3k on WOT...

    I noticed the change from the Ford Racing to the Borla S type? Why the change? I was going to get the FR bc of your old video but now idk

    • @mark5825
      @mark5825  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ford Racing was great without headers but absolutely horrible rasp once you add headers catted or off-road. Didn't think there would be a difference since both are "by Borla" but friend had the S-type and we just swapped mufflers and it was night and day.

    I have a question did you get a retune after the stall ? I just got my 6r80 stage two with circle d stall 3200 and I tought it was needed to be retune but Lund was saying there’s no point it’s still gnna be the same

    • @dre04mach
      @dre04mach 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They do... I have a 3C in mine - 3500-3750 stall and first drive I had to hold it on the brake to make sure it revs past the stock 2200 rpm one before it locks... I have a blower on mine though so it made no sense to go 5C; if I stayed N/A, I would have...

    • @mark5825

      Yes, and if you want a good 1/4 mile at the track it's worth it.

    • @tw4152
      @tw4152 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      JoshW817 a number of things is my guess. 4k stall without a big cam.. traction issue on the shift.. and maybe could use some more tuning a lil

    • @rileyneufeld7001
      @rileyneufeld7001 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Locked converter. When the converter is locked it runs the engine more efficiently but the rpm is lower than an unlocked converter that can flash some into the next gear.

    I’m having issues with my 5 c locking me out of shifts when I try to make downshifts. My tuner thinks the convertor is bad. I was using Lund and they say car is shifting mine. My local tuner see and feels the problem and says the convertor he thinks is bad. I have basic bolt on boss intake and jlt cold air. E85 and stall and 373 gears. Any info would be helpful

      Did u ever get it figured out?

    • @underfedcoyote5.022
      @underfedcoyote5.022 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      J. R. Yes I did and man it wasn’t lund at all. It was the idiot that did my stall had the trans way over filled. I bought a trans cooler which I highly recommend anybody with a stall should have now. But after we cut the line to install the trans cooler we only had to add like 1 quart. My trans guy said I should of had to add 2 or 3 for the size cooler and how much drained out. So I get back in my car and drive it car shifts better now temps are under 200 when they use to be over 230. And I can now shift into 5th at WOT. I went back to Lund since I did cams and cobra jet and car is running mid 11s in high DA. You can check out my TH-cam channel and see I explain it a little better there. @underfedcoyote5.0 also have races you can kinda see how much I gained when trans was corrected

    6900 hits Tarps but goes up to 7500

    • @vincevega5515
      @vincevega5515 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats possibly the tune. You may be losing power at higher rpms and makes more sense to shift earlier

    • @rileyneufeld7001
      @rileyneufeld7001 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vincevega5515 If you can ring out 3rd gear in the 6r80's it's better than letting it touch 4th 100ft before the traps. I've seen a car go faster reving it 7600-7700 in 3rd than letting it take 4th with a crappy gen1 manifold.

    thats way too much stall for the street. all ull do is blow the tire off on the street. at the track it works great tho but at the track u hook up

      You drive a car on the street. You don’t race it on the street. Obviously it works very well for normal and spirited driving. Keep it on the track if you want to race.
