- Budget airline Flybe has ceased trading with the loss of hundreds of jobs.
The company said all its scheduled flights have been cancelled - ticket-holders have been advised to check the Civil Aviation Authority website for further information.

This is why we need governance regulations and government obligation when it comes to operators and air travel coverage beyond what currently stands. We've turned into a US type economic model throughout the EU with the UK / GB not being any better and where almost any Airline can close up shop and stop functioning due to mismanagement, unpaid bills, capital debts / shortfalls, etc. What's more all those bad decisions are void of the actual workers (aircrew & ground fleet), current consumers and even countries are expendable.
Having tighter restrictions will stop some companies from attempting air travel completely, reducing the coverage
@@royalwave15 if that were true then IATA and aviation bodies of authority would not exist nor need to - and also airlines would actually travel or operate outside more commonly outside the coverage of those regulated regions.

That's kinda weird because in many countries there's an unprecedented boooooooooom for airtravel, with major companies basically posting job ads for the crew and pilots and all on their main websites and giving work to people by the dozens. That's the situation with the Polish LOT for instance.

@@fraserwood4576 Easyjet cancelled a bunch of routes from my local airport during the pandemic and just restored them a few months back and that was the buy signal for me :D up 52% in the last month
