I love how he travels to find a picture, only to find his true inner self along the way. The picture he eventually finds is, of course, of him. This was a wonderful film. I think I love the scene of the longboard ride the most.
Yeah, I love how it transpires, that his friend loved the simple things, from his friends life, yet the guy envied his friend, even though, the photographer took time to value the simple things like piano and clementine cake. Then, he honoured his friend, and his work in a wonderful way. Lovely movie about workfriendship and our own journeys 🥰
My favorit scene is when he is in the pub and the helicopter starts because this is the moment when he makes the choice that will change his whole life.
That's the story of Man (not human beings which are temporary units rather than eternal beings). MAN, is/are a probe sent by the universe that allows the universe to become aware of itself. While the cosmic traveler has found itself trapped in a little blue planet within the boundaries of the physical self (a picture of itself), it won't be long before it shakes itself off to freedom... which freedom you may ask? I will let Don Juan Matus, through the books of Carlos Castaneda, answer that: “To seek freedom is the only driving force I know. Freedom to fly off into that infinity out there. Freedom to dissolve; to lift off; to be like the flame of a candle, which, in spite of being up against the light of a billion stars, remains intact, because it never pretended to be more than what it is: a mere candle.”
The other Beautiful quote is when Walter asks the man he was looking for, what the picture in his wallet was of. And he replies with maybe a ghost cat. Meaning Walter was that beautiful thing hidden in plain sight
I first saw the trailer on a store TV. What i didn't know then was that TV was 4k, playing at 60fps. So I was blown away. When I finally got to watch it, I was on 720p monitor, at 24fps. Something just didn't seem right.
I have the same opinion. Is hard to make a dramatic role but to make people laugh is even harder. A comedian can easily make a profound and touching movie but a dramatic actor can't make people laugh.
@@akiramenai4973 alita is good but the story is very simple, it's not strong enough to attract people. Alita woke up find a boy get her memories back and start playing games to reach the top 🥴🥴🥴
It's not all too underrated. It's a great movie, but it still has some hollywood cliché-scenes in it and the love story was a bit boring and standard. If you liked the movie and would also go for something more special and less hollywoody, watch captain fantastic or into the wild :)
stonedNcreepy yeah but the cinematography and scenery is soo beautiful and breathtaking.....and there really wasn't a love story.....but the music....and the epic ending...... Its really underrated.....and I can't understand why critics didn't liked it that much...... Amd yes i have seen captain fantastic but i liked TSLOWM more
This movie made me leave my very lucrative but dull job in India . I'm moving to England now and will travel whole of Europe and definitely Iceland n Greenland . I loved, the secret life of Walter Mitty . Thank you Ben .
That sounds amazing! Just so you don't get disappointed, nothing of this movie was actually filmed in Greenland. The part of "Greenland" is actually filmed in my hometown Stykkisholmur! But you should definitely visit Greenland anyways!
I just want to say this movie changed my way of seeing things. I'm just like Walter, i have a common job and i used to daydream all the time. About my life, about me being a perfect person. A better version of me. After i saw the movie i felt inspired. Not to travel around the world but to LIVE. No matter what i do for a living, not matter where i live or my economic status. I'm trying to enjoy every little thing in life. I have decided, i'll spend more time in the moment i'm living. I'll do my best, i'll achieve my dreams. And i'll use my imagination in something i've always wanted to do. Writing.
YES!!! it is not travelling to make you enjoy life ..to me...is have a fullfilling life from your innerself to the exterior world! of course travel gives you so much...but Living to me is make those things you want! go and make them! stop dreaming just wake up!!!! (another movie quote)
This movie is just amazing. It shows the story of a ordinary person becoming someone he thought he could never become. All he had to do is believe and he achieved the unthinkable. Be like Walter Mitty. Be Somebody
I don't think it was lack of confidence. When he was young he wanted to see the world and do all these amazing things, he chose not to so he could take care of his family after his father's death. For me, the story is about him realizing he no longer has to carry all that weight and can rekindle that passion. But he was always somebody, and somebody amazing at that. That's why the photographer chose him as the final image for the magazine cover. Not the rock star explorer Walter, but the everyday Walter that was just doing his job.
The movie introduced me to them. I immediately bought the soundtrack for the movie (amazing) and My Head is an Animal is one of my favorite albums now.
This film resonated so much with me. I left my office job and now I'm travelling around Asia. Hardest part was finding a way to fund myself while travelling but found a way and won't stop. Having the best time of my life here!
@@nevillesee1178 Personally, I do freelance web design and make enough to not worry about money here plus I use Trading 212. I don't make salary money off it but enough to make it worthwhile.
@@nevillesee1178 If you can't do that, simply teach English online. I do it also, but not very often. It's basically beer money. But I know a lot of ladies and gents here travel just by making money off of English teaching
It doesn't make sense. It's a fantastic film! Some fatcats probably tried to squash it. Get people paying attention to the new Star Wars or Superman that came out that same week.
To anyone who thinks this is impossible... 2014.. i was working in the kitchen of KFC cooking chicken getting paid fuck all... but then i decided fuck it... i hated it... i spent months and months trying to find a new job and then when i did.. i found a job at the airport.. saved some money and by november of 2015 i was watching the northern lights in iceland... i was walking through the streets of amsterdam.. by 2016 i was walking through the streets of hoi an, and by the start of 2017 i was already sitting on one of tromso's hills watching the northern lights.. i look back to those moments where i thought " i can't get to where i want" but then i decided fuck it im going to do something about it.... and it happened..
Joined the air force in 1977 when I was 17, two years later I am hitting country after country as a flight mechanic on a c-130. in 1980 I was in no less then 15 countries. Japan, Germany, Australia, The UK, Philippines, Iceland, Greenland and many more. The only regret I have is not having a digital camera LOL but they where $350 to $500 bucks back then, and I never saved any money :) I think I only made $570 to $600 a month basic pay before tax's and around $150 a month in flight pay. But man it was good times.
UnitedDorks I disagree. The movie's pacing was perfect to me. It didn't feel rushed but it also didn't have any lull points. I was always wondering what was next and I never felt bored. It was a good movie. And I'm not even a huge Ben Stiller fan
I guess critics all very judgemental that's why they're called critics. And the sad part to me was they often seeing the negative side more than the positive~ at least one thing is comforting to know, we ourselves get to decide what we like!
One of my favorite all time! EVERYTHING about this movie was perfect. I couldn't understand why more people didn't rave about it. I guess I'm just one of the weird ones (like many commenting here!) :)
I sincerely feel, and believe that "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" is a masterpiece. My own reaction stunned me when I first watched it, as I never expected something so profound, something so life affirming to be found within a Ben Stiller film. The people I know are always beyond taken aback when I state this. They had always taken a pass on this film, after seemingly always having nearly watched it. This film is the red pill (or rather the red car) that people need to see. I felt as though this film has breathed beauty, curiousity, as well as new courage into my soul.
Great way to put it in words. I have recommended this movie to so many people as my favorite but just a few actually watched it. And somehow some didn’t even like it
@@mesadepalo Thank you so much for your reply - as I forgot I'd written this until you did! I think this movie does something to the souls of the creative and the adventurous. It resonates with us deeply and also whispers to us that "It truly is never too late...begin planning, that can take the time it needs. But when you have enough of a plan - add courage to that cocktail." I suffered a traumatic brain injury as the result of an assault a few years ago. I'm still trying to get my life back together since, but I am now at a stage where it looks quite clear that I am getting very close. No matter what you've gone through - please believe me that it truly is never too late. Stories like this one definitely helped keep my hope alive though. I watched this film so often during 2021 & 2022. I'm well on my way to getting my novel finished now, and I've been working on it for seven years. I've also recently made a strong attempt to return to my profession : acting (in particular Voice acting etc.) We'll see how that goes. Plans, actions and relentlessness. They're all you need. Oh, and a little belief. Stories like "The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" can help you with that. 💚
"You don't travel to see different things. You travel to see things differently." ........................... Edited to add: Thanks for all the likes! As a side note, I put this comment in quotes, because I didn't come up with it. I saw it years ago painted on the door of a Landrover Defender "Cornwall 2 Capehorn" expedition vehicle, by the owner, Ben Davenport. Credit where it's due.
The soccer scene in the Himalayas cemented this film’s place as my all time favorite. In 2 years after I finish college I’m buying a one way ticket to Iceland to play soccer and explore one of the most magical places on earth. Can’t wait!
There is a path new Eyjafjallajökull in southern Iceland that you can travel up to the top of the mountain by car. I suggest you play soccer with your friends up there for an amazing view.
the reason i like this movie is that its not "glamorous". it shows how a normal dude who worked a boring job his whole life can do great things, even though they aren't "great". love it.
Realistically speaking, his job was pretty cool. Plus he got to walk around in that big warehouse with that one other guy and also had a chair to sit in and work. My job I have to stand for 8 hours straight and it destroys my knees. I'm 18, I should not have these joint pains. I work out too of course but it's bad and I'm jealous of that job
What you said can be turned into a great quote. "You don't have to be great to do great things. It's when you do great things, you become great." That's just... Great.
cant forget that either! hope all the people who replied are doing well. i still love this movie! it helped me take a chance on a new adventure in my life.
This movie was what inspired me, it told me that even "that guy" could do anything. Since then I've been on 5 continents and lived in places most will only dream of. Edit- i want to thank everyone who has commented and thumbed. My name is Kent Stone and in 2008 I was diagnosed with a spinal thing leading on this crazy adventure. Recently I've had to incorporate a wheelchair into my travels but my adventure is still going. This winter i am hoping to learn snow skiing at the disabled ski school outside Denver.
A powerful, powerful film. No, it's not perfect. Yes, it has flaws. But what a powerful message! We're all Walter Mitty-so much exploration and adventure is out there for us if we just take the leap off the edge. Everyone should see this movie. Great soundtrack, stunning landscapes, amazing cinematography, and above all an immensely powerful message.
This movie also tells us that there’s more to life then being a work machine. There’s more to life then being cooped up in an office for 9+ hours. Life is full of experiences waiting to happen, but people are to afraid to actually take a chance.
4yrs Past since this comment and it still holds strong. The Critica hated it because they need for you to feel small so they can feel smal.. Never be afraid to Dream so that it can become reality.
i cried every time i watched this video. i’m a film student who are scared of people around me who are way more experienced. i remember the first day i was in a film class i almost shit my pants thinking how other people may judge my work. then i watched this wonderful film, it gave me confidence to actually go out and be brave. i did my first project and everyone loved it. the most amazing part is that my first project is based on this film! Ben, you changed my life!
This movie, or I better say the director, managed to capture freedom. Sounds ironic, but he did. I can literally feel Bens freedom in a lot of scenes. It makes me feel alive!
It was 2013,my father died,i got school problems ,move to another state, but my serious problem was always thinking that my dreamworld are better than my reality life. But 2014,when the movie was realesed, watching it inspire to be go away from my dreamworld and understanding the Quintessence of Life.Thank you for this movie, almost every year i watch this movie and always realease my stress and gives me joy 🙂🙂🙂✌.Happy 2019
Dropped out of college last year although I was just one year away from graduating, after watching this movie and was inspired to pursue what I truly love, to cook, to become a chef. Working at a local restaurant now as a demi, hard work, tough, challenging. But never one day in my life I regretted my choice. Just glad I met this movie.
This movie changed my life and my mom's. I think a major complaint critics have is with the erratic pacing, but I believe that was intentional. Everytime he's in the office, it seems like time just drags by unless he's daydreaming. And then when he's actually out in the field, the frantic pace catches up to that of his dreams and finally, he's alive inside and out. Beautiful movie. You're a hero Ben
when I was a kid growing up in the country in Virginia I was allowed to leave the house in the mourning after breakfast and as long as I made it home before dinner I could go wherever my legs would take me. my friends and I used to explore the woods, go out on the lake in a John boat, walk down the train tracks to the bridge and jump off. we used to walk into the next county, and we were no more than 12 years old. now finally my kids are old enough to go out bike riding and exploring but in this day and age I can't let them go off by themselves. so I have been going out with them and watching them discover how much fun it is to explore makes me feel it again. luckily we're only a couple hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains which has some great hikes.
+syates2346 Lucky duck dude, I live in India and lets just say it's not that easy finding adventure or time when you're up to the neck with school....That being said I take an hour a day to explore and document the world around me, it's insane how much a few kilometers of walking through a jungle, or a few stories of walking up to a roof, can give you....sure it's risky, but that's half of the fun.....man nothing beats getting chased by a stray dog down a big hill.....it's times like those which I love so much....
+epiclapser sounds awesome! don't lose the spirit. how likely are you to run into a tiger or some monkeys where you live in India? that would be a little more dangerous than I can get into around here. I've been all over the western hemisphere but haven't been east yet.
I won't :) Not very likely....monkeys though I've been chased by one lol while on a family trip monkeys are everywhere tigers are hard to come by....what's dangerous where I hike and stuff is the people, like you could get mugged and stuff.....the west is suuper cool, I've been everywhere in the states, because I lived there for a long time....the east is just another world however lol the culture especially.....
+epiclapser yea my wife is from the east (China and Cambodia) so I should exploring that whole area soon. so much to see. that's funny as hell about the monkeys. I've heard they were inquisitive little things if not vicious.
For the life of me, I can't understand why this movie didn't do well at the box office. I actually went to see this when it opened on Christmas Day and I loved it. I read a lot of the comments on it and it seems to have really touched a lot of people in positive ways.
"To see the world, thing dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of life." Walter Mitty This quote remind me to get out from my comfort zone, do something that could be useful for others and to explore more and more about this world. This movie completely bring me to my dream to become a professional photojournalist that could be useful for people around me and get me excited to do more travelling hahaha
Underrated movie, not because of its plot or acting; but because of how relatable it is to the average individual. It evokes this emotion of happiness and all around positivity. The visuals in the film and amazing as well and the soundtrack, perfect. It’s a portrayal of what every working person wishes they could do if they just looked up from their computers for a second
[Verse 1] Jumping up and down the floor My head, is an animal And once there was an animal It had a son that mowed the lawn The son was an okay guy They had a pet dragonfly The dragonfly, it ran away But it came back with a story to say [Verse 2] Her dirty paws and furry coat She ran down the forest slopes The forest of talking trees They used to sing about the birds and the bees The bees had declared a war The sky wasn't big enough for them all The birds, they got help from below From dirty paws and the creatures of snow [Refrain] La la la La la la, la La la la La la la, la [Instrumental] [Verse 3] So for a while, things were cold They were scared down in their holes The forest that once was green Was colored black by those killing machines But she and her furry friends Took down the queen bee and her men And that's how the story goes The story of the beast with those four dirty paws [Refrain] La la la La la la, la La la la La la la, la [Refrain] La la la La la la, la La la la La la la, la
I’m definitely in! This movie inspired me to travel to Iceland. We(me and my hubby )promised each other to return every year. We’ve been back three times so far! I can't wait to go back
This movie is amazing saved me during a really depressing time in my life. The soundtrack is beautiful too. Everything about this movie is what movies were supposed to be about
This movie was absolutely amazing. Ben Stiller was awesome. The music fit perfectly. This was a life-changing movie for me in so many ways Thank you Walter Mitty!
He hit a shark, he went through down the volcano ashes, ran, biked, longboard all the way by trading his toy, went to the helicopter with a good madman. Just to get an ultimate picture from his friend and told him that his picture was in his wallet. Incredible movie
It's amazing to see how many people take their time to comment on this amazing song. Shows the compassion of the human spirit I think. Love this movie!!
I go into the comment section. And I see all these people talking about how this movie inspired them to go to new places, and explore life. It makes me think about how I always say that I *want* to do something, but I can never bring myself to actually doing anything. Everyone else had the guts to notice something was wrong with their life, and changed what was wrong. But I still lay in my bed with my laptop, feeling conflicted, yet still doing nothing about it. I'm just a waste of space. So I feel like telling anyone that's reading this comment to go outside and do something. Don't be afraid to try something new, or else you'll be a coward like me; too afraid of change to change for the better.
Thank you for sharing, I too am struggling to find the courage to change my life into what I envision for myself. Oftentimes I feel so much disappointment in myself for not following through with the goals I set out. It makes me feel anxious that I am missing out on precious time. In those moments I try and take a step back and remind myself there is no better time than right now to get started again on my goals and it tends to help. I hope you never give up pursuing whatever calls you
Getting away doesn’t always mean going out and exploring the world and new places. Just simply day dreaming, creative thinking, also is a get away. I, myself, tend to think back to when I wanted to backpack across Canada. I was getting all my stuff ready, ordering a backpack and a little single tent and all the works. In the middle of this all I met a girl that changed my life forever. She is now my fiancé and we have 2 amazing kids together. We’ve been together for 5 years now. Couldn’t imagine my self without her, but from time to time I think about what it would of been like if I did go backpacking. I am now a photographer in the works and I produce music. I work facilities over at a clothing shop and I actually enjoy it there. My life changed, and I love the life I have more then ever, but some day I will go backpacking haha. You don’t need to go and travel to have an amazing life, you don’t need money to have an amazing life that everybody wants. An amazing life can just come from the simplest things. I’ve been told once before, if you have a good life, then why do you still need to go on vacations?
The trick is to start small. Some people can't jump I to the world with both feet because they are apprehensive of what might happen and that is totally fine. I want to go backpacking in some of the most remote places I can find. Norway, Iceland, Russia etc. I want to build I life were I will have the freedom of being able to experience so many things but I can't fly to Norway today because I don't have the cash on me and because I am doing other things. I thought that I needed to go far away to get the peace of mind I have been craving but I don't. Yesterday I got back from hiking part of the Pacific crest trail and it was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. I saw so many beautiful things and learned so much. As I was hiking along a steep drop off and the whole mountain was covered in mist I remember thinking to myself " this is the life that I always wanted" i realised that I was still thinking that I wasn't in some exotic place even though I was. The entire trip cost less then 200 bucks and I only had to drive 20 miles.
I watched this movie when I was 12/13. I was shy and wanted to be invisible. This movie means so much to me. I'm now, more confident but try everything at least once instead of not trying at all. Life is not about fitting into the mold, its about exploring the unknown and take what it gives. Firstly, I'm going to finish my education then travel the world. I have dreams and we should all, chase them.
I've watched this multiple times already, and recently it popped up on Netflix, prompting me to watch it again. It serves as a powerful reminder that life is short; we should explore the world, savor every moment, and maximize our enjoyment. Let's not merely dream but take decisive actions to make those dreams a reality.
Who else feels like this movie was way, way underrated and deserved better critical praise!?! Superbly done Mr. Stiller, directing and acting, you are the man.
When Sean Penn's character finally spots the elusive wild cat and DOES NOT take the photo, but instead immerses in the moment, and Walter Mitty looks at him, then into the lens and off in the distance at the cat....that is amazing. I admire the person who does not take the photo! It is their moment - just the 2 of them, never to be shared with anyone else. Pretty damn cool.
my comfort movie, someone who's been so afraid to live life to the fullest....always hiding in the corners of every room making themsleves invisible. This movie is my inspiration to have the courage to take that leap of faith out of the comfort zone and finally start living.
FUCKING PERFECT TRANSITIONS! 0:00 - the picking intro fits on the written numbers 0:50 - the lyrics says the legend is real 1:03 - HEY! The most underrated movie I’ve ever seen. Ben Stiller at his finest. Love this movie. It never fails to make me wonder what’s beyond my limits. Thank you for this great movie!
I remember watching this film when it came out and it inspired me to get into photography. 7 years later I was one of the top three students to be nominated for New Zealand student photographer of the year. I'm so grateful that this movie inspired to do something with my life and so I Thank you Mr Mitty !!

Best/most underrated movie ever. When I was younger I was in the USAF and traveled all over the world.Years and years later & much much older after watching this movie and seeing my father-in-law pass away, We decided to buy an RV and started traveling all over the country - No sharks, no volcanos - but visited National Parks, going coast to coast, mountains, oceans, swamps, rivers, prairies, cities, hiking, fishing, seeing hundreds of small town USAs, meeting thousands of good people along the way.Living our own little Secret Life of Walter Mitty adventures.BTW - a couple years ago, I even managed to skate board down a smooth lonely road surrounded by buffalo on an island...I thought of that scene in the movie, and cried tears of joy...
I live in a pretty nice and small community of around like 10,000 people so a lot of people know eachother here so we're all really tight knit through athletics and stuff so it's pretty safe to just walk around like your not gonna really get kidnapped or anything so this movie inspired me to pack a hiking bag together and just walk the 15 mile bike path all through the woods and just enjoy nature. I'm literally never inside the house anymore. I do my chores like cut the grass help fix stuff around the house, and when that's all done I just take off by myself or with friends and just adventure around. All this because of this movie. I'm considering taking a trip to Iceland and hike that. I'm so glad I watched this.
I always find it funny to hear about what other people think a small town is. :) I mean, I live in Iceland and I once worked in a town of like 60 people
This movie speaks to my soul. There's so much passion tucked into this movie I find myself teary eyed and smiling every time I watch it. Cheers to all you Ghost Cats out there
The Reason why I love this Film so much is, that it inspires me so much in many different ways. I love to see how he’s just bored and annoyed by his work and the people that are around him. Then when he decides to set himself a goal, he starts getting a more positive person and life. I’m 17 years old and there are moments where I stress myself so much with things that are unnecessary. My goal for the future is to just enjoy life more and to be more relaxed even if there are negative situations. I think this helps you a lot in life.
I went to Iceland with my wife after watching this movie, and visited some of the movie locations, listening to this song in the car all the time. Actually we spent the night inside a Van right there where he gets in the helicopter and saw the Aurora Borealis. Amazing trip. Recommended 100%
Being in Iceland is like being in a movie. It is my favorite place on Earth. I hope it will always stay as it is now. The adventure, peace, happiness, goodwill and love is all around. An engagement of a young couple, next to the waterfall and rainbow in front of my eyes is just one of the moments I will never forget. This movie and the soundtrack is amazing. So if you like it you will definitely would like Iceland as well.
This movie has a special place in my heart, this is the movie I never tell anybody about because it is a treasure that you'll have to stumble on like how the best things in life is. I watch it on every birthday I have, and I played this song and the entire soundtrack while driving to catch a glimpse of the northen lights. There is no word that would describe the similarities between me and Walter, I see the path and the end of it I turn like Walt where you are sucked into the matrix and having to bare this dystopian hell we live in. However, I do see the light at the end of tunnel where I break free just like Walt. I hope I'd reach there soon. My greatest appreciation to everyone who made this movie happen because it is a great message that many won't get to hear because it is not for everyone, that is how special things are. Good luck and I will see at the finish line.
I have never had a movie touch me so deeply, I've never resonated with the story so fully till I saw this movie, yesterday. It's a masterpiece and deserved an oscar but it's okay, it's more important that people like it than the critics. I am so glad Ben Stiller made this exceptionally emotional and inspiring movie.
I was in high school when this movie released, I remember watching a trailer for it as an ad on TH-cam and honestly I fell in love with the premise. After things happened to be nearing the end of my high school days; this movie was my comfort. The music in it was amazing such as monsters and men as José Gonzalez and the movie itself showed e what I can do with my life if I believed in myself and the potential the world can hold. I truly want to travel someday. To enjoy the simplicity of life. To learn new things. To say I’ve experienced a thoughtful and wonderful life. I’m only 20 and I still have a long journey ahead of me and I will not deny this movie has inspired me.
I havent spended much with my dad, i met him when i was 13 (im 17 now), he didnt abandon me or anythinb similar, he spen all that time working, missin 40 something years of his life, to bring my 3 older brothers and me now the best life he can, even after the hospital he worked at fired him he started to be a taximan so he could still mantain me and my mother. I may not know him and he may not know me as one could expect from a son or father, but i still appreciate everything he has done and sacrificed. This movie when it premiered my dad took me to cinemas to watch it, is one of the few memories i have of sharing a moment with him. And after we went out of the cinema he told me to not do what he did, to not waste my time in a work i didnt like, but do things before is to late and age caughts up to me. This movie deserves way more love and appreciation for teaching us to live our lives, have and adventure, do something more than just an office job.
My favorit scene is when he is in the pub and the helicopter starts because this is the moment when he makes the choice that will change his whole life.
My favourite scene is where he gathers the courage and takes the leap on to the helicopter. Everything changes after that.

Freedom to dissolve; to lift off; to be like the flame of a candle, which, in spite of being up against the light of a billion stars, remains intact, because it never pretended to be more than what it is: a mere candle.”
This was an awesome film!!! Classic!!!
"Beautiful things don't ask for attention" My favourite quote from the movie..
The other Beautiful quote is when Walter asks the man he was looking for, what the picture in his wallet was of. And he replies with maybe a ghost cat. Meaning Walter was that beautiful thing hidden in plain sight
It is hard to take that quote, until you take a second and review what you've seen or what you've done, that's why the quote is important to me
Mine too!
mine too it should be the name of the film
Exactly!!!
This movie has some of the best cinematography ever.
truly did even if it fell hard in some scenes
I liked this movie... Relaxing stuff😅
So many scene in the movie that so beautiful and i really fell in love with..
I first saw the trailer on a store TV. What i didn't know then was that TV was 4k, playing at 60fps. So I was blown away. When I finally got to watch it, I was on 720p monitor, at 24fps. Something just didn't seem right.
Another one is "In Order Of Disappearance". Stunning!
Comedic actors make some of the most heart-warming and wholesome movies.
I have the same opinion. Is hard to make a dramatic role but to make people laugh is even harder. A comedian can easily make a profound and touching movie but a dramatic actor can't make people laugh.
Robyn Williams, 'Awakenings'. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favour..

Agree. I loved it.

Most underrated movie ever. Also one of my favourite movies.
definitely high on the list
Damn right
Mine ever
Keep fighting the good fight sir
That sounds amazing! Just so you don't get disappointed, nothing of this movie was actually filmed in Greenland. The part of "Greenland" is actually filmed in my hometown Stykkisholmur! But you should definitely visit Greenland anyways!
Very Epic !
Western Europe is a great way to lose your savings, if you do not have citizenship or welfare.
Great! Write your story. Maybe other will get inspired
Writing.
Maladaptive daydreaming?
STAY STRONG ~
YES!!! it is not travelling to make you enjoy life ..to me...is have a fullfilling life from your innerself to the exterior world! of course travel gives you so much...but Living to me is make those things you want! go and make them! stop dreaming just wake up!!!!

I hope Ben Stiller sees all the comments from people who's lives have changed because of this movie. Critics tended not to like it very much :(
Yes! This movie drags on. There were only some good moments. like this one
Fuck the critics. We the people saw it and loved it. ANd we'll always cherish it!
"The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty" is not a movie, it's a great advice by a friend named Ben Stiller.
THANKS BEN, FROM MY HEART
this sounds like an on cinema @ the cinema review lol
But when you have enough of a plan - add courage to that cocktail."

The comments are so wholesome. Nice to see how impactful this movie is. Hope everyone gets to chase their dreams.
the reason i like this movie is that its not "glamorous". it shows how a normal dude who worked a boring job his whole life can do great things, even though they aren't "great".

Jumping up and down the floor
My head, is an animal
And once there was an animal
It had a son that mowed the lawn
The son was an okay guy
They had a pet dragonfly
The dragonfly, it ran away
But it came back with a story to say
[Verse 2]
Her dirty paws and furry coat
She ran down the forest slopes
The forest of talking trees
They used to sing about the birds and the bees
The bees had declared a war
The sky wasn't big enough for them all
The birds, they got help from below
From dirty paws and the creatures of snow
[Refrain]
La la la
La la la, la
La la la

[Verse 3]
So for a while, things were cold
They were scared down in their holes
The forest that once was green
Was colored black by those killing machines
But she and her furry friends
Took down the queen bee and her men
And that's how the story goes
The story of the beast with those four dirty paws
[Refrain]

A beautiful song from a beautiful movie. Every time I watch this video, I want to book a flight to somewhere new.
Do it man
He hit a shark, he went through down the volcano ashes, ran, biked, longboard all the way by trading his toy, went to the helicopter with a good madman.
Lilliana Stern Feel you. Life can be tough and I do want to do something. But I just can't.
Try small steps, small things then start doing more
Thank you for sharing, I too am struggling to find the courage to change my life into what I envision for myself.
Let's not merely dream but take decisive actions to make those dreams a reality.
this movie is a good example of how it isn’t about the destination but about the journey
Do more crazy, spontaneous things, people! Enjoy life. It passes so quickly!
0:00 - the picking intro fits on the written numbers

Amazing movie. a couple of months after watching this i found myself for the first time overseas in europe.
The most underrated movie I’ve ever seen. Ben Stiller at his finest. Love this movie. It never fails to make me wonder what’s beyond my limits. Thank you for this great movie!
It teaches to pause and reflect on our daily lives
This movie taught me" it's okay to be wierd , some people never become what they think "
My favorite feel-good movie. Thank you for doing this, it's brilliant
I remember watching this film when it came out and it inspired me to get into photography. 7 years later I was one of the top three students to be nominated for New Zealand student photographer of the year. I'm so grateful that this movie inspired to do something with my life and so I Thank you Mr Mitty !!
Jumping up and down the floor,
My head is an animal.
And once there was an animal,
It had a son that mowed the lawn.
The son was an OK guy,
They had a pet dragonfly.
The dragonfly it ran away,
But it came back with a story to say.
Her dirty paws and furry coat,
She ran down the forest slope.
The forest of talking trees,
They used to sing about the birds and the bees.
The bees had declared a war,
The sky wasn't big enough for them all.
The birds, they got help from below,
From dirty paws and the creatures of snow.
And for a while things were cold,
They were scared down in their holes.
The forest that once was green
Was colored black by those killing machines.
But she and her furry friends
Took down the queen bee and her men.
And that's how the story goes,
The story of the beast with those four dirty paws
I appreciate you giving us the lyrics, thank you.
Thanks for Lyrics...
what a lyrics!! =]
Of monsters and men are my favourite band 😍
Thank you
I just casually went to watch this movie and it's one my favourite now, forever.
By far Ben stillers best movie, minute for minute. Great story, message, and soundtrack and superb acting by everyone in the film.
You call that small? I live in a community with a grand total of 300..
Pffft I live in a place where, due to a rip in the spacetime continuum, the population is negative -211. I win!
this does not make logical or scientific sense but ok haha
About 1000 here
I always find it funny to hear about what other people think a small town is. :)
I mean, I live in Iceland and I once worked in a town of like 60 people
This movie speaks to my soul. There's so much passion tucked into this movie I find myself teary eyed and smiling every time I watch it. Cheers to all you Ghost Cats out there
Wats the film called
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
The Reason why I love this Film so much is, that it inspires me so much in many different ways. I love to see how he’s just bored and annoyed by his work and the people that are around him. Then when he decides to set himself a goal, he starts getting a more positive person and life. I’m 17 years old and there are moments where I stress myself so much with things that are unnecessary. My goal for the future is to just enjoy life more and to be more relaxed even if there are negative situations. I think this helps you a lot in life.
Just watched this movie today...One of the best movies I have ever seen.Truly life changing.
I went to Iceland with my wife after watching this movie, and visited some of the movie locations, listening to this song in the car all the time. Actually we spent the night inside a Van right there where he gets in the helicopter and saw the Aurora Borealis. Amazing trip. Recommended 100%
This top 1 favorite movie of mine. And the most underrated...
Secret life of Walter Mitty the best film ever
master plaster mr PL 10/10
He was the beautiful thing he was chasing after the whole time.
That hit me...

Best movie with wonderful music ❤
True
True Mr wonderful
Ben is a wonderful director.
Yes, you're so right!
Uno dei più bei film che ho mai visto. Fantastica fotografia, fantastica musica, un film poetico. Emozionante.

About every 4 -6 months this video shows back up on my TH-cam I am grateful every time I rediscover it Thank you for this wonderful mash up
This movie saved my life. This is my ultimate comfort movie. Brings me to tears every time. Everything will be ok. Just move in love.
Good luck and I will see at the finish line.
love the progression, a sense of wonder and curiosity that is created in this uplifting and joyful song
This Old Guy loves this! A movie with every thing in my life down to the tears in the end! Priceless
"I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list"

+Filiani Tendean Totally
GhOsTlY_SOULS hope you get to do all those things!
All of 2023 I claim I will have journeys like these and find my true inner self as well 🧿🙏🏾
