    Subbed! I don't usually sub to small channels but your content is better than creators with 10x+ subs. Photos and composition are highest level props

      Thanks for the sub!

    I (happily) have both the NiSi 1/8 Mist and the Sony a7IV, mostly for video, and thought there might be some specific tips for the two here. So, confused a bit by your sub title above, "Black Pro Mist Filter with SONY A6700 + SONY A7IV." Appreciate the overview and the when/when-not section. Your photos chosen for samples are beautiful and certainly helped make the video enjoyable. Thanks.

      Hey, the Sub title is just away to get recommendation for TH-cam search

      @@gerardneedham just the 1/4. Sometimes the 1/4 is just a little too bloomy for photos

    Great video, I hope you get lots of views. For those who have not had a chromogenic (c-print) made from a digital file, I highly recommend giving it a try. It makes the difference between film and digital a bit less apparent. Another change in Photography has been a reliance on digital displays like monitors and cell phones. Ink jets can sometimes be accurate to a fault. A wet chemistry print feels like the missing ingredient sometimes... and they look great scanned, too.

      Yeah I’m actually planing a video about this, as my friends dad is an old film photographer back in the day, and he doesn’t like screens and modern printing. So we’re going shoot some photos and then print them the old way

      @@gerardneedham How cool. I look forward to seeing this and hope you find it enjoyable. I recently made a habit of ordering 4x6 C-Prints of any exposure I find interesting. I'm curious to know your reaction and will stay tuned.

    Credible and balanced vid, Gerard. Do you use auto focus with these filters? If so, how do they affect auto-focus performance (am thinking about things like subject/eye/face detect)?
    Somehow I think he can use a bit of hairspray himself.😊 Cheers!

      I haven’t noticed any autofocus issues using pro mist filters

    What mm to use with A74?

    • @gerardneedham
      @gerardneedham  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I use the 82mm and then use step up rings for smaller lens filter treads

    Is that Pat Kay's photo in LR?

      No ahahah, that’s my photo. The location was actually found by ictban I believe, another photographer from Australia here on TH-cam
