- Why would anyone want to live in an RV full-time? Today I show you why I absolutely love traveling full-time in nature in an RV with my dogs. I explore the amazingly epic red rock area of Utah with my dog constantly on the lookout for mountain lions. I feel like a need a form of self defense out here. We hope you enjoy following along as we make the journey towards quartzsite in search of warmer temperatures and endless solar power!

Bound for Quartzsite, Mr. Eko and I had a great time exploring the amazing red rocks in Utah. I found a lot of things and uncover a few mysteries. What do you think? What form of self defense do you carry on hikes in new locations?
Upon first arrival to this campsite, I was absolutely shocked 😱 at what I found… in case you missed the video, you can watch it here: th-cam.com/video/vcIkqTKCMRg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EE-6pJ0boUJrG5Q1

Eko is definitely picking up on your bad vibe about possible big cats lurking. He’s feeling your concern and is trying to figure out why.
Good boy.
If its not fun to be alone, way out, time to make friends, because what we fear will come upon us. No need for a fairly good looking, fairly young to be alone anyway. Most these you tube men are scared to death they will have to share.
New subscriber here. I've been following you for a while, but this video pulled me into subscribing. Your gentleness with the natural world around you is heartwarming. Eko and Dodger are living their best lives. Keep being you, enjoying your life. Maybe we'll cross paths in Q this year.
Wow very nice! I appreciate your insight! Big smiles her! 🌵🌲🐕🦺🐕
Sew "eyes" to back of a hat, bear gel, wear a bell (put em on the dogs).
Beautiful terrain. I’d love to explore it.
I wasn't thinking wimp, I was thinking if I wanted to avoid mountain lions I wouldn't go anywhere near those cliffs or caves. LOL! Great tip about the gel vs. spray! Letting Echo lead the way home reminded me of my youth when we would go bar-hopping on horseback. One time a very grumpy cop stopped us, but I was able to talk him out of giving us DUIs by convincing him the horses had auto-pilot and knew the way home. LOL!
It's a shame people destroy mother nature 😢...Such a beautiful place 😍
At least it’ll all grow back eventually 🌵🌲
Nice views.
For sure, some bear gel would be great to have.
I like to carry a small airhorn when I'm hiking. Nice to keep it in the camper as well. I'll also grab a couple rocks and bang them together when I walk. Feels a bit more normal than talking to the critters and they make a quick weapon.
The biggest thing that causes anxiety in an area like that is there is sooooo much for your brain to process. You could sit in one spot for a month and not take it all in. So many rocks, nooks, crannies, shadows. Even the juniper trees look snake like and have dozens of hiding spots.
It would be stupid not to be cautious and Eko knows it too. Smart dog 🙂
Good luck on the journey to Quartzite. I can see why you are taking a few days in that spot. Very nice!
Beautiful views. Postcard material for sure ✌🏻🇺🇸
its great to explore you never know what you will find or what might find you most of the time there more scared of you they bail before you even see what it was keep exploring and filming
RIP Tree.....
Really great landscape 😎
When walking in the remote woods of BC, I usually take a SBS with slugs or 00 shot.. 😉

Nice location.
I have been following your channel for a while. I am just curious, when and where did you get Echo, if you don't mind saying.
Mr Eko is a rescue dog. Got him when he was two years old. 🌵🌲🐕🐕🦺
@GotOut thanks for the reply and sorry I misspelled his name!
Hey there GO it's always amazing to see you Echo and Dagger every place you're RV camping video
Yes at least bear spray or something mace ,anything!
No matter what you choose for protection be sure to get educated on the use of it. I myself prefer a good handgun. I have Military training, and have also done my CCW training and practice often. If ever comes a time to use any form of protection training and muscle memory is Key to the safe usage of your choosen form of protection.
It's better to be safe that sorry
Bet you’ll be missing them lonesome Utah vistas once in Quirksite . How long do you put up with the Q ?
I suppose it does get boring for some but I can easily find something to do. Probably at least a couple months 🌵🌲
Personal locator device? Your alone, Garmin or Zolo maybe.
I think some bear-spray would be a good idea, but other than that you are probably safe, especially when E and D are with you!
If a bear is mad he'll charge right thru the gell
I won’t make the bear mad 🌵🌲
@@GotOut it is always best not to upset them
❤
Not enough prey there for mountain lion.
It’s an interesting point. Not really deer grazing territory. But I would still bet there are big cats in the area! 🌲🌵
Where are you? Useful information.
Utah
I think your dog is picking up on your fear. And he's not being allowed to explore at all so all in all he's just not having a good time.. P.s. you slightly resemble Sylvester Stallone in the eyes😊
He definitely likes to be off leash
And I enjoy it the most as well. 🌵🌲🐕🦺🐕
@GotOut ✨️❣️✨️
HandGun...Firearm...protection in the hand. Get some training practice feel better.
OH! Protection like weapons, not protection like for...the wandering wood ladies out there.
I wish
That tree feeds birds. Some humans are parasites.
This is an example of the types of places we want to explore when we start traveling. Concerning your comment about defense, DEFINITLEY hook yourself up. The bear gel sounds good. We have heard of the spray, but the gel sounds better. We'll be picking some of that up. There are also "non-lethal weapons" (just gifted myself one of those for Christmas 'cause I've been a good girl). Ordered mine from a company called Byrna, legal in all 50 states, no license required, they were running a Black Friday sale and I went ahead and bought it for various reasons, but will definitely be bringing it on the road. Once I logged onto their website, I was sold when the description said something along the lines of 'your target will be convinced they are shot, but they will be ok'. The point is this: there are various types of threats any RVr will face on the road, but the HUMAN threat is the most common. I have watched enough RVr traveling videos to know that there are a lot of sketchy characters out there, I just don't want to go to jail for murder for having to shoot one of them. Long story short, when it comes to a bear or mountain lion, the bear gel might be better. When it comes to smaller animals, or a person, the non lethal weapon might be better. We already have regular weapons that are registered and legal, but I'm not out to kill animals or people if I can at all avoid it. I just want to defend myself.
