Those guitars obviously also functions as bow ties... man, Mark can barely get the strap over his head 😅 Proof there's no right or wrong way to play guitar. Do whatever works for you.
If you’re looking for an aluminium neck guitar check out “TIDES” cost less than half of what an EGC guitar costs. Made in France, I own 2 and love them
what's wrong with that? it's all about being comfortable while playing live, we're not in the 80's anymore where you only looked cool if your strap height caused you back pain
I have a beautiful blonde (strat 72) picked up at a yard sale for $200.00 bucks! It is not for sale anymore - the only issue is the owner decided to try and put longer neck screws in it and gave it a hairline crack, stupid I know. I put wood glue in it and clamped her really well - she plays perfect. Luckily he saved the original screws.
@@tyler_da_wiz no one notable played an acrylic EGC guitar before John Dwyer, he’s definitely heavily associated with it and failing to mention that glaringly obvious fact was a bit dickish in my opinion

Strats were not designed to play 13s. The strings in the 1950s were 11s. Guitar strings didn’t really start to get different gauges until musicians started using lighter gauges off Banjo string sets. Ernie Ball saw that and started offering them as the “slinky” set. That is when it started. Oddly enough most sets of strings at that time had wound G strings, so the Les Paul for example doesn’t really have the issue of the G string going out of tune when using a wound 3rd G string (also need a properly cut nut too)
Early Fender guitar strings - up until 1954 - were made by Mapes and came in sets of…. E - 0.14 B - 0.18 G - 0.27 (wound) D - 0.37 A - 0.48 E - 0.58 In 1954 Fender switched to Squier made strings which were slightly lighter… E - 0.13 B - 0.17 G - 0.29 (wound) D - 0.345 A - 0.46 E - 0.54 The above was verified by Martin Kelly, author of ‘Fender: The Golden Age 1946-1970’ Hope that helps clarify.
@@guitarist That is incorrect as they measured gauges differently. They shipped with 12 to 52s that were more accurately 11s. This is an often repeated misconception

Reminds me of the oh sees and king gizzard guitarists. And Frankie and the witch fingers.
20 years later and now its how high can you play guitar, not how low.
I suspect he’s influenced by Tom Morello as he mentions his guitar (the stickers) and Morello also plays very high.
I'm in love with this man
He looks a bit like young David Crosby
I thought the same thing! Wish I could grow a tash like that 😂
Barney Gumble "David Crosby you're my hero!!!"
David Crosby "Oh you like my music do you?"
Barney Gumble "You're a musician?" BELCH
Mark's authenticity for his own style of guitar playing and sound is infectious. Love it. We need more of it.
I dig it
They fixed stinky nice. I found it sad that it was on the way out
For Someone Who Doesn't Know How To Use Tone Control He Sure Knows A lot About Guitar's
The sound of the that blue baritone is everything everything I ever needed. 😮😮💨

Ever since I saw Dwyer from Oh Sees jammin an acrylic+aluminum SG style guitar I’ve wanted one so bad. They look fucking awesome
Why are all the Idles guys so attractive? They're all nuts but they're all so cool and interesting.
Love his tache, bit of a cutie ❤
Man, he seems like such a good dude. Would be awesome to hang with those guys n talk guitars n shit.
I love how radio in Australia calls the latest album "Tang k"

Bo's a hero 🎸☠🎸
What a cool dude and what a sick guitar!
