Too bad you need John Deer dealer technician to re-attach bricks, or it won't function properly.
Why do I actually believe this would actually be something John Deere would do to get even more money from the partnership
(I get that practically anything breaks on a John Deere you have to go to them to get it fixed)
And if you try to fix them, they can be such an engeneered mess you dont want to fix it. Caterpillar much better.

For aligning the radiator you could probably use the standard technique of sliding a long brick along them to push everything in line.
Build 2 and push together!
The right timing, just finished my homework
I didn't ;(
Theres a school riot but i have hw so its sad, but its rewarding to watch it afterwards

Hei.
I bought that but there were stickers, can you buy them somewhere?
4:35 I think, that plural in word "studs" is important detail. Acording to old paper which start sorting legal and illegal techniques, stud fits into pinhole, problem is in very little different distance between studs and pinholes - this is what streas elements. You can see in official.instructions that sometimes is stud connected witch pinhole, but allway only one, never two studs from same element
It was legal for a single stud in a single pinhole (1x1 plate) but 1x2 (or longer) plate cannot be placed into two nearby studs.
@RacingBrick You can still find the Jamie Berard "Stressing the Elements" presentation pretty useful, although inserting transparent bars into other transparent pieces is now legal again due to the change from PC to MABS.

I love the B Model.
You made my day with this review
I've got a question about this set:
If a piece breaks during play, can you replace it yourself or do you have to bring it to a JD dealership?
I like it. It has very nice detailing. Motorized would've been nice instead of pumping, but then that would've jacked up the price. As always your builds and opinions are greatly appreciated.
Honestly looks pretty exciting! Can't wait for the Mars Rover review
Hi Balázs! I think this set is simple but nice! The overall functionality, looks, useage of the parts, playability and all the aspects are uniquer than other years previously. Definitely overpriced but unfortunately this is the case every time. I definitely wait for few months and I see what is the real retail price will be. Nice review with all the interesting methods of the build. 😊
Thanks for the great review! This set is the highlight of this years Technic line-up. I will most likely squeeze an air tank under the engine. Constant pumping for these large pneumatic cylinders ruins the fun.
Well you certainly are helping my bad day better
I haven't had a set with pneumatics since 8044... yeah, seriously 😅 SO excited for this build. Looks like heaps of fun!
I think that this set matches perfectly with the claas set that was released back in 2016, it also came with a crane that could grap logs and it is basically the same scale as this john deer.
Great video as usual!!
Your face upon seeing the paper bag cracked me up. WOOHOO! 🙂 Good place for the hoses, they tend to cling to the plastic bags!
Excellent work as always 👍👍
This review was exceptionnaly funny ! Great job as always
3rd these sets are soo cool!!
solid review man
It would be great to see a comparison of both big technic tractors - set 42157 vs set 42054
I am so jealous that you got the NASA set already! I pre-ordered it today at a local LEGO store. I cannot wait!
I’m so happy you like Legos too!
Cool video, I hope you will do a review to the creator defender because I preordered it and I wanna know what to expect. Keep doing what you doing!
Thanks for the very nice review. Not a fan of Lego pumps so I stay away from them but it is a very nice looking one...
Balázs, thank you for your nice review ! The set is really good and I will buy it as soon as the discount is at 33% - as always...
The material handler has better cable management. The switches are in a hard to reach spot on this and you have to push the hoses out of the way.
I feel that this set is a good deal for kids, and it has plenty of functions! Thanks Balázs for this GREAT review!
I am awesome
Buying this
awesome review :)
I usually don't comment much but since you're one of the great trinity (with Jang and Tiago) of my favourite lego reviewers (ok, there's grohl666 too, sorry mate) I think you're worth my time. I really like this set, and Im more oriented to the "System" system lately, khm, so I had to add my two cents. For the 150e this is a steal in my opinion, and I do like me some technics from time to time (untill liebherr or whatitsname came out I had every biggest Lego technic right until my last, the big red crane). Nice video, thanks for entertainment and I wish you all well. Saluti da Italia,🤌🤌👋👋
Agreed
Sorry for the reply, I can't edit on a phone. I forgot to give a shout-out to Sariel's pets and bricks, the last one in my top five Lego creators. Good work to everyone mention here and above and thanks for the entertainment and objectivity. Salute!
i will buy that set for sure
my litlle Pneumatik heart is one fire
What do you think, why Lego combines Pneumatic actuators with linear actuators, once we already have pneumatic functions? I think it would make sense to replace linear actuators to pneumatic ones at the front.
Thanks for the heads up on this review looking forward to getting this, regarding Pneumatic set's have you done a review of set#8421 mobile crane in the past it had a major fault with the boom crashing down any thoughts or fixes, I've tried but came to the conclusion a needle valve is needed?
I love this set. I think Lego needs to make a cable skidder, or a timmberjack skidder next.
Use a straight edge of another part, to align rows of 1x1s. I use the side of the separator, 1x4 brick or a Technic part.
Wanted to ask if one had to choose between the tow truck and the skidder on a limited budget, which one it would be and thanks Bro for answering my query in your review itself, tow truck it is 🙏🏼☺️...
How do i fix the front diff cracking
The tow truck is my my preferred cheaper more function
I wonder how hard it will be to change out the manual pump for a motorized one.
Hi Balaz! Is any liftarm 1x11 in green in this set?
When you said “woo woo I’m alive” I saw a matrix sentinel, with the pneumatic tunes being the sentinel’s tentacles
Wish they would do a quad trac either John deer or better case ih, a combine etc.
It is kind of weird that the claw is considered the back of the vehicle, and the other way around for the front of the vehicle. I don’t really quite understand why where the claw is would be the back of the vehicle. To me, it seems a little odd, but otherwise, this is a great set that recreates a lot of the iconic functions of the real vehicle. Would definitely recommend to John Deere fans and big machine fans of the lego world, and in real life. Another great video, keep up the awesome work!
Hei.
I bought that but there were no stickers, can you buy them somewhere?
Do the instructions have 1:1 examples for the pneumatic hose lengths?
I bought the Material Handler and the Heavy Duty Tow Truck not that long ago, neither instructions came with 1:1 examples (just use xxx millimeter hose) as well as a misprint in the parts list of the Tow Truck (seems like copied from another set maybe?) made it very annoying to pick out the correct hose for the steps since I had to find a ruler to find the correct lengths.
I have enough experience with lego technic to just see/feel the difference between a 5L or 6L axle but with the hoses measured in millimeters it's way more precise and I had to fiddle a lot with the tow-truck to replace some hoses as I switched two lengths around and it wouldn't fit.
Muy interesante este set 😊
When this model was announced it went straight onto my purchase list. Now, erm, not so sure. I am not a lover of the pneumatic pumps and there a lot of hoses on this one which, as you demonstrated, are a bit of a pain.
I hope they make a old school tow truck with those new beams
Which one do you prefer? The new LEGO Technic John Deere skidder or the LEGO Technic CLAAS XERION tractor from 2016? I prefer the LEGO Technic John Deere skidder because I'm a big fan of John Deere machinery.
I'm huge fan of John deer 😁
5:40 how did you get the gears to work for the front blade? I’ve tried using mine and they don’t seem want to spin freely
I totally want this set, Is the pneumatics part harder than it was for the Mercedes Benz arocs set? that was the first pneumatic set I have ever built. but I also have been playing with technic for over 6 years.
Arocs has a bit more annoying amount of pneumatic tubes you need to squeeze in that turntable.
@@RacingBrick I know right. Ok I think I should be able to do it. Thanks for answering my question :)
How do you think it compares with the CLAAS power functions tractor from a few years ago. I know you cannot compare price because of inflation, but that was one of the best technic sets for me, including a very clever adjustable steering system, and a similar logging arm. I'd love you to put them side by side.
I don't have the CLAAS assembled unfortunately
@@RacingBrick the CLAAS is a set I go back to time and again, is this a good excuse for you to rebuild it?
now they just need to make more foresting sets and im gonna buy this one
Great video. Is this the same scale as the Technic CLAAS XERION 5000 TRAC VC (42054)?
They have the same tire size, not sure in real life how the two machines compare
They could have used Sauron's ring to fill out the hand of god steering gap. I'd judge it would fit perfectly but would look odd if it was still gold and not recoloured
We just finished assembly and are having issues with the pump working. Can anyone help me to bleed the “hydraulic” function? Please!!! It’s working backwards as in raising when the switch is in the down position and the claws are closing when in the open position. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Amazed John Deere licensed this.. they hate users fixing and repairing their own equipment
It has good design.
How can we suggest Lego to make a technic Cat 793F mining haul truck at a decent scale?
How did at blue boilde lego?
I was curious and looked it up - it seems swinging axle suspension at the front and fixed at the rear is actually accurate to the real machine.
I was thinking it probably was, thanks for checking. Thinking back, quite a few tractors are like this, from lawn mowers & garden tractors to the giant articulated tractors.
@@JeffDM yeah. Ive worked on a couple farms and have driven many tractors. They all have the swinging front axle and solid rear axle. This is the same for normal 2WD tractors as well as the larger articulated 4WD tractors.
@@nickbarlow5038 I agree, I can't think of a tractor that did it any other way.
@@JeffDM Yeah. the only ones i could think of are combines. they have the solid front axle and pivoting rear end. But they also steer from the back too so its basically the same. Narrow front tractors like old farmall M's, H's, 350s, etc. also dont pivot since they are basically a trike excluding the wide front versions which have the normal pivoting front end.
You should compare this to the class tractor
You should do giveaways for some of these sets.
Have lego altered the large turntable design again as it looks like the bevel gear is no longer part of the moulding?
That was changed last year if I remember correctly
What is the number or id of the wheels? I am going to put 8 wheels not 4 wheels
Seems the wheels should be a lil bit more width
I paid 142CHF And i like it for the price it‘s okay
как думаете, можно ли из 136 сделать 157 но поменьше?
Right To Repair?
Payakan from avatar has also that paper package
8868 - it is true challenge of pneumatic
Хорошая техника!
So challenging
Even without a proper compressor, a simple air tank would have made this much better
Logs? As a kid I'd just got get some sticks from outside.
great video why cant i get yt to let me click on all notifications
Still never understood the paper part it is still almost 95% plastic pieces and parts besides the rubber and O-Rings
Try 8455 for some pneumatic 😅
Not into pneumatics. I will skip this one. But the model looks great so I will borrow some of the techniques in MOCs.
The tractor is a nice set but I think its a bit overpriced. I think $150 sounds more reasonable 12:17
After watching this I have a odd feeling to hop on farming sim
so many useful parts, but yikes that price
All the pneumatic arranging problems can be solved by providing longer tubes and moving creating a place for them FAR from switches. Really, why lego tries to arrange everything near switches?
That's a LOT of money!
Aha. Spaghetti monster of hoses. So it's a faithful representation.
Your complaints about the pneumatic hoses are echoed by anyone who has ever worked on a John Deere skidder in real life.
So I came here hoping that you may have had a solution to my problem. Yes, it's a great build. However, I've just finished building it and I'm getting a clicking from the wheels (more precisely the differential) just like my modified land rover when I push it backwards it runs fine however pushing it forwards and it starts clicking! I think it's either the differential and the big yellow cog that it's meshed with or it's the 2 small grey cogs near the differential. I just can't seem to find a solution to the problem. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Good video, just, I feel like your hands are too big for assembling such lego, because you blame stickers and hoses for bad positioning, when its your hands that are too big 😂
Es una pura vergüenza 190 euros, por el cargador frontal Volvo me costo 220 euros totalmente motorizado ,lego se esta pasado de la realidad, buen vídeo un saludo!
Bought this set for 125$
I don't like manually operated linear actuators because they are painfully slow. Why not pneumatic?
The machine is big and has a room saving engine design. This opportunity was not used for an air tank. Why, Lego?
I'm really annoyed by this trend of implementing engines with axles and bushes inserted of proper piston pieces. It's extremely cheap, especially considering this is a large 190 euro set.
Or maybe they didn't use the standard engine blocks because that'd be twice as long?
@@RacingBrick why is this note a problem after 30 years of using the engine blocks? They could have made a V6 in the same length.
@@johnnytifosi beacuse the real machine doesn't have a V6...
hi
Find it funny Americans have to wait longer for a "John Deer" lego set
Mudrunner players: "Hey wait I've seen this one!"
for 200 bucks it definetly shouldve camewith at least a few logs
