This was also the very first thing I trained my pup at 11 weeks. He’s now 8 years old and I still practice it with him. He’s a pro at it!
That's so good to hear! This is one of those tricks that makes training fun for puppies especially, and makes doing the more difficult stuff a lot easier since they already have that positive association with training!
Thanks Dana. We'll work on this with Rufus!
Best of luck! Looking forward to having him in my puppy class!
We call it “nose boop”. Everyday for just a little bit.
Perfect! This is one of those tricks that I tell my clients to just do during commercial breaks, and as long as you practice it a little bit each day you will see results really quickly!
How do u train two dogs at same time
When training it is best to teach foundations separately and set boundaries separate as well, once the dogs both are in a place where you are happy, you can start introducing training sessions in which both are involved! Just remember that you can have different boundaries for each dog, and each dog can be in a different place training wise and as long as you maintain your boundaries you have set with each of the dogs, they wont negatively impact each other!
Yup, first teach super basics separately
I hav a senior dog and a puppy together and its hard to train at same time
@@brandidick8012 I can imagine XP. I like training with house lines, (McCann dogs, another excellent TH-cam channel with tons of high quality teaching tutorials) and that can help with managing basics initially
I totally understand that, my other two dogs Gunner and Buddy are both senior dogs, and Amo, The dog featured in my video is not even 2 years old yet, but just remember to be patient and understanding and also let your older dog set boundaries with your young dog!
