    Love Australian cattle dogs. Had one for the last nine years. What an incredible friend. Got him a little maligator to play with two years ago. They’re best friends. Inseparable. Fiercely loyal to their humans. Amazing dogs.

    Cute little cattle dog♥️ I have a little female cattle dog too & can’t wait to try this with her.
    Also I was on the edge of my seat wondering it’s she’s gonna step off before you released her😅. Great video.

    Do you have any tips on how to build confidence in an adult dog? My girl has issues with fear based aggression. She’s so nervous all the time. I need to work on her confidence so she isn’t so fearful of (literally) everything before I begin socialization.

    This is wonderful but my dog is tiny and doesn’t have a cot, is there a way I could teach this with her kennel? She also doesn’t have a release word but we’re almost there.

    Does it have to be something they climb on to or is just a foam bed ok to use.

    Good, informative video. One comment I'd make is that from watching your earlier videos, Bethany's approach is somewhat different to yours (implied stay, terminal/continuous markers, etc.). Obviously, there are many techniques to train animals - all of which will work. As a suggestion, you could make this clearer in your introduction - initially I found it a little confusing as the technique changes compared with what people might be expecting from watching your obedience series.

    • @NateSchoemer

      Great suggestion. Thank you! Cheers!

      @@NateSchoemer No worries. Again, not trying to diss Bethany at all - it's just that I have gone through binge watching your obedience series from a couple of years back (thanks btw!!), so expected the same kind of thing.

    I do have a question. When working on duration, Bethany counts between treats. Can/should the count number vary? Animals can become accustomed to routine, which includes, to my understanding, intervals. I have been varying the time between treats so the anticipation remains. Please correct any misconception/misunderstanding on my part. Thanks.

    • @NateSchoemer
      @NateSchoemer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Animals can become accustomed to routine, which includes intervals.
      "I have been varying the time between treats so the anticipation remains." I do the same and it's what I recommend. Cheers!

    Great demonstration! But my puppy isn't food motivated at all. And I have over 30 different treat options, including meat. She eats her meals calmly and slowly. Same with high value treats.I would love to see some puppy training videos that don't rely so heavily on treats.
