    It's the smartest and easiest way I ever seen to solve this problem on TH-cam! You are amazing!

    Amazing video..Have a Bose AWRC22 and 3 disc changer. The changer initially did the skipping thing and only chattered on eject. Now it chatters whenever play is attempted in all slots. Bought it used recently, so I am unsure but am going to try what you did in this video. Question, though. The main unit is "picky" sometimes about cds, meaning it won't take certain cds in to load to play o4 It takes a couple tries for the "roller syetem to take it into the init to play. Is this normal? If not, is there some way to address the issue without dissasembly..? As an addendum when the pickiness occurs, unless I wait until "reading disc" and then "disc error sets while the disc is sitting in the slot halfway in it scratches the play side of the disc also. Any assistance with this would be much appreciated. NOTHING addressing the main unit "selectiveness" is online..

    I have a Bose setup similar to this one worked on which has a problem reading disks with both the main unit, and theMulti CD changer accessory in all 3 inputs. The player feeds disks, -reads disks- disk error message, and ejects disk. I have seen other repair videos with the cleaning disk, but feel that it no doubt needs internal cleaning but some adjustment of the speed pots. I like the unit enough to not personally disassemble and mess around, but instead get it done right. What is your opinion?

    I have a wave cd radio which has the single slot cd port. The unit unreliably feeds the cd into the player. Do you have maintenance tips or repair on how to diagnose and fix the problem?

    • @irepairidevices
      @irepairidevices  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning, Loretta. When you say "unit unreliable feeds CD into the player". Does the unit fail to grab the CD and load it into the housing? Or it loads into the housing, but does not spin? Do you get an error message on the display like for instance "disk error"? Or the CD does load properly but just spins, no error message, no sound etc?

      Hi,
      Shortly after posting the inquiry, I found out from another youtuber, that the problem was due to dirty feed rollers. Making a card, dummy cd, and feeding it into the slot cleaned the rollers. Thanks for getting back to me. I forgot that I had the problem and moved on to other problems in the house. The Bose works great now.

    Hi. What does a repair like the one in your video cost?

    • @irepairidevices
      @irepairidevices  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Danny, For this particular repair the cost was $80.00 (this was a drop off/pickup - no shipping cost) and mind you, not all repairs will be the same, even though they may show the same symptoms.

    Ma'm, I noticed that you did not have to go into the top unit (the single player). I only have the single top unit, and mine chatters TERRIBLY!!! I've had it for many years and I sure miss listening to it. I've tried the disc cleaners, but no luck there. Would bouncing it off the walls help any??? Oh...it doesn't seem to have any problem showing up on the screen...it just chatters terribly and keeps skipping back to the part where it started chattering like it's stuck there. I hope I explained that clearly enough.

      Hello Cliff. Bouncing it off the wall could possibly help it. 🤣🤣. Just kidding. I do offer mail in repairs. Email the info and i will be glad to quote you a price.

    My multi-cd player is fine since I replaced it in 2016. It is the original single wave system that stops or does not want to play. Would a cleaning disk help this problem. If so, what is the cost and how do I purchase this disk.

    • @irepairidevices
      @irepairidevices  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Dee, you can try using a disc cleaner cd. You can purchase them online from Amazon. Some of your local box stores may carry them as well. Cost for these can range anywhere from $8-$15. These cds have a small micro brush on them and when it's inserted into the unit, the instructions tell you what you to do, but basically the spinning motion will gently brush the lens. You may have to do it a couple of times. Do not touch the tiny brushes or bend them with your fingers. That may resolve your issue, however if it does not then a manual cleaning of the lens would be the second step and that requires disassembling the unit. If the problem still is present after the second step then the issue is mechanical.

    Hi, I have a unit just like that one, except my number 1 cd player, (one on top) does not play my CDs, says error, the cd will play on all the rest. I try a cd cleaner but that did not help. any idea. thanks.

    • @irepairidevices
      @irepairidevices  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Could be a variety of things. Dirty lens which would require manually cleaning because the CD itself wasn't enough. Lens itself is failing or the internals need a good cleaning and re-lubing.

      Hello Khoel. Check the aux cable, make sure you don't have any broken pins. Aux cable that runs from the 3 disk changer to the main unit consist of 9 pins. Keep me posted

    You seem to me to be very good at what you do, and seem very knowledgeable in regards to electronic repair! Now for the however.
    However, you are wearing what appears to be a sweater like sleeved shirt, unfortunately you are not wearing a "Anti Static Wrist-Band". This is a BIG NO, NO when performing any electronic repair. Just one small static discharge between one of your fingers and a component such as a chip on a board could cause you and your customer to experience one big headache.
    The "Anti Static Wrist-Band" will ensure you are grounded and static cannot not damage the equipment you are repairing.
    The latex or rubber gloves you are wearing will block static, but if they have even a tiny hole, a hole unseen by the sharpest eye, the worst can happen. Gloves will also reduce your dexterity by an average of 30 to 50 percent. The only benefit from the use of latex/rubber gloves is keeping the oil on your skin off the components you are handling, however that's really not an issue, just wash your hands before beginning your repair. If you must wear gloves you should also wear a "Anti Static Wrist-Band".
    My mistake if you have a "Anti Static Ankle-Band" hidden from view. In any event you should seriously consider grounding yourself to the units chassis and or any board containing integrated circuits (IC's/chips) CD cartridge etc. you are working on.
    You appear to me to be a very talented tech, and I would bet you are self taught, which in my opinion definitely shows you're one brilliant human being that loves to learn!
    Well my son has a very bad cold, so I better get off the computer and go keep an eye on him, I must be sure he 'Bose' his nose correctly. ;-)
