Thanks for the video. I own an Alien 17R4 with 7820/rtx1070 and was debating on buying an AGA I saw one my local market. I opted out n buying a modern laptop for portability legion 7i. If no one beats me to the punch I will buy the AGA. But thanks again for the video, it was very helpful and I liked the comparison.
Love this video. Just bought back an Alpha after selling mine years ago and its good to have it back. Going to put another i7 to replace the i3 and slap an ssd on it. I wish this system got more love back then but its great to see people still rocking theirs.
Alienware I swear predicted the future between 2010-2019 The fact that my Alienware15R2, from 2015, is running better than some newer computers is just mind boggling. check to see if your alienware has NVME slots. 2015 I didnt believe my donated laptop would be worth a shit. But damn was I wrong. I have a AGA coming in the mail. Cant wait to try it out with a donated 2080. If you really want to get the best performance out of these little fuckers upgrade the ram, the hard drives to ssd, run the intel support tools, download the dell driver support tool, and whatever you do, Get windows 11pro. My almost 10 year old laptop runs like a top with 64gb of ram, upgrading to nvme and ssd storage, windows 11pro, with the intel and dell support tools. its just crazy. They shouldve never changed the designs in my opinion. Those gray bricks where the best laptops ever made.
Anyone out there still rocking their Alienware Alpha R2?
Currently replying to you on my Alpha R2! Getting it cleaned up out the attic and looking for a graphics card for the AGA
