This is my experience going through the J1 Graduate visa & the o-visa / o-2 visa. There are a lot of elements involved in trying to get a visa to work in the US so I hope some of this information helps! It involves going over the types of non-immigrant visas you can get to enter the US to work, the costs, some requirements & the US embassy interview.

Super helpful Tara! I got my H1-B recently and I think the only thing you didn't mention is that the H1-B is based on a lottery system. So, even if you get your employer to sponsor you and get your application approved by the US, there's a quota of about 85,000 which means you only have a 1 in 3 chance of actually getting the visa. It's probably the worst thing about it and definitely something to consider before applying! So happy for you and your O-1!!

It finally came in after waiting for my renewal since June 2015 (it expired in September 2015) It's such an anxious wait time. Ok, so things are sorta chaotic and have changed so maybe ya don't anymore, but incase ya do, here's the sitch. Research every state, not just big cities or schools. Every state is drastically different in laws, weather, wildlife, manners, lingo, food and more. Then, make sure you get medical insurance, it goes a long way. Lastly, if you want citizenship, to pass the test always do pre tests, most of the answers aren't obvious and have to do with us history

Because of His love for you and I, He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for you so that you can have everlasting life and not go to hell. Jesus Christ arose from the dead, He is alive and is the only Messiah, the King of kings, the Beginning and the End. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the whole world. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, invite Him into your heart/life today. Wherever you are, He can hear you for He is everywhere. Remember Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to God the Father.
