    Of all car restoration channels, I think, while the restoration was certainly impressive, what was more impressive were your manners and compassion towards the family. Many restoration channels like to snap up and hose down cars as a quick flip for views. You guys are amongst the good ones, what a great team and a great job. 👍🏼

      I agree. My dad and I working together was like fire and water, not good. LOL. I like this car, a keeper at least worth taking it to it's limits and best it can be. I know, many want to change out the distributor but I ask why. Nothing wrong with points and condenser as was original and from what I can tell by just the video that distributor looks in very good shape. Just have to change them points and condenser each year or so. A good set of points and condenser run about $50 bucks these days. Used to be able to walk in any store back then and get a set for around $5-7 bucks. Change them out about anywhere, even without a feeler gauge and be able to get home. I used to keep a new set in the trunk just in case.

      @@ckstaff You are lucky, at leas to get to work with your dad on something. My dad was so busy that he just comes home in time for dinner then goes to his room. I never asked him to help me with my homework or anything that is upsetting. Same with my mom. Eventhough that was the case, I love them both dearly and miss them so much. I was very young when they passed away.

    Hi Guys! I just found your site. This Dad and son duo is amazing. You guys really work well together. Today is my 71st Birthday. My late dad bought me a brand new 1968 LeMans. Same 350, black over gold. We shared it till I graduated in 70. Then it was all mine. I dressed it up with Keystone mags. Thanks for the memories as Dad died in 1978. Great Guy!!!! Keep it goin' I love you guys!

    Jesus im in love with this channel! What I appreciate the most is the unedited dialogue, which really gives us an insight of the step-by-step sequential troubleshooting and sharing of ideas of what you guys are talking in detail, so we can listen along and learn, instead of having to guess the reason why certain things were done. In contrast, when they cut out the dialogue and overlay music across the video (as seen in some car restoration/rebuild channels) while good as a concept, the viewer misses out on the details and the process of repairing things. You patiently explain things without rushing too, and that is also something to note. Keep it up guys, I wish you success!

    This car is very dear to my heart ; when i was born my Dad had a 1972 Lemans Sport with a 400 c.i. in Anaconda Gold color and that is the best looking car he had in all the ones he had after that until his passing in 2009. If i ever win the lottery, THAT is the 1st thing on my wish list, to buy one and build an exact replica of my Dad's to enjoy for the rest of my life. In the meantime i'm the proud owner of my own classic Pontiac ; a 1968 Beaumont (Canadian Chevelle) that i've owned for 13 years and i'm at my 3rd one, all 1968 but all different engines. Love your channel and hope you guys will still be around for a long time !

    I was wondering when you were going to clear the windshield, so you can see where your going, disconnecting the fuel line to the tank is usually one of the 1st steps in getting a will it start car going. The Mortske points flick helped, the pontiac turned out to be a decent looking car. Good luck in finishing it up.

I don’t know very much about cars. This one brought back memories. I like Lance and Wyatt. After the video I found your video about being tied up for a while, Restored (will subscribe there too!). I learned of your faith in our Father and praised Him as I saw your story. God Bless you.

    Great follow-up to the first content! It's kind of a stretch to call it a "Muscle Car," but with a four barrel carburetor with CAI, new intake manifold, HEI, headers, & dual exhaust, it's close. Keep on keeping on with this Le Mans!

    • @robertlacob8831
      @robertlacob8831 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, a 326 will never be a muscle car engine., just a good running engine for daily driving.

    • @ckstaff
      @ckstaff ปีที่แล้ว

      Why all that? It was never intended as a muscle car. Lemans-GTO, Malibu-Chevelle SS, etc. Restore it as close to what it was and it would be a cool car as is, a Lemans. If it were mine, I would even keep the distributor with the points and a new original exhaust system. No need for headers. Change carb to 4 barrel is fine but IMO keeping this car as close to original is best and a daily driver at that.

    It's interesting how the past 50 years have changed the definition of "Muscle Car".
    In my youth, things like a "Landau Top with Opera Windows" or a "2bbl Small Block" were the definition of "Not a Muscle Car".
    Clearly, in today's market, my definition of a muscle car has broadened significantly, along with most other car lovers.
    I have never seen a 2 door Tempest or LeMans with Opera windows, but for that very reason, I think it's extremely cool!

    When people pretend to have sentiments on a old rust bucket that they had 35 plus years to work on themselves, and didn't do jack to it, and when you show up, all of a sudden, it's such a sentiment item they all shook up about it like they can't part with it, turn around and say "Good Bye not interested."

Interior was the same color too, but was the top-line Morrokide buckets with a console. The '72 LLM was a one-year-only body style hardtop with its own special 6-panel grille, trim, badging, '71 tailights, and the craziest thing - factory FENDER SKIRTS! This car was loaded with AC, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes. Plus I had PMD Rallye II wheels and custom redline tires. It was flippin SWEET!

    Great work fellas and on the power steering being super easy to turn I've noticed as well back when I had 70s Oldsmobiles another GM car the steering on all the cutlasses I had would steer like a dream I would drive them with three fingers alot of the time I miss those old cars GM made some quality cars back in the 70s👍👍👍👍👍

    My neighbor had one exactly like it!
    He welded those B pillar portholes shut, removed the vinyl top, painted it raspberry red metal flake, added an LS and 18 inch mag wheels!
    Then sold it for 18500!

    This one's for sure a worthwhile effort to bring it into the 2024's with modern steering, brakes, etc. A four barrel is all the engine needs,, those little 305's have more than enough power to go light to light, city and hi-way cruizing will be fine.

    I drove a LeMans to high school back in 97'. Had a stroker motor in it. Got 6 miles to the gallon. Man i love those bodylines. Mine didnt have those port windows though.

    I really love how you guys respect the old owners and save the memories for them. One critique though I WISH YOU PRESSURE WASHED THEM BEFORE WORKING ON THEM SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE. So glad you saved another one maybe someday I can buy one off you. God bless you three !
