@@landisreynolds8496 Ok, so it’s ridiculous either way because if he can’t hold LBJ jock he can’t hold MJs either. Nick doesn’t understand how dominant MJ can be in an NBA where there is a 3 second rule and there isn’t a titan waiting for him in the paint. It’s not just shot for shot. Smothering? Bulls are no where near the top defenses in the NBA as far as history goes. The warriors offense? Yea, let’s not even talk about that cus it would be laughable to say they aren’t the best ever. Bulls aren’t nearly as skilled as Warriors, so Warriors being in foul trouble? Huh? The bulls would be in foul trouble. Pippin is not going to avg 30 for the series, so who is your 2nd option? Bulls would not score enough to beat Warriors.
The hypocrisy of Broussard in these debates is crazy, when it comes to these type of questions he talks about the Bulls being godly stacked team that would beat the Warriors with KD, but then when it comes to a LeBron-Jordan debate, he ignores his own fact that Jordan had a godly stacked team LMFAO
@@R0yalty yup. And he defends Lebron when it comes to some of his finals loses because 2007/15/17/18 there was clearly nothing he could have done to beat those teams. But then he throws that context out the window and uses the losses to build up Jordan

Defensively the Bulls can matchup pretty well: Jordan on Steph, Harper on Klay, Pip on KD, Kukoc on Iggy, Rodman on Draymond. The other thing people forget is the 3 point line was shorten in 1996, something to consider there.
agreed. However, I think that warriors are just a bad matchup for the bulls. They were dominate in similar ways. However, warriors shoot way more threes. they made 12+ threes a game when with a shorten line bulls made 16 threes. This alone cause a large margin of error between the bulls and warriors.

In this argument, people always forget 2 things: Kukoc would start at center and be a beast, and the Bulls defense wouldn’t be effected a whole lot by the rule changes because Jordan, Harper, and Pippen were more finesse defenders then thuggish defenders.
I love and respect that 96 Bulls squad, but I actually think that the early 90s Bulls teams, especially in '91 and '92 would be a better matchup with the 2017 Warriors. The Bulls were so athletic then. You still had Pippen and Jordan on the perimeter. You had BJ Armstrong, John Paxon, and Craig Hodges (won a 3-point shooting contest) shooting jumpers. And you had a very strong defensive and rebounding presence in Horace Grant. Their transition game was beautiful to watch.
So Broussard thinks Becuase they beat “ok” shooters nick Anderson and Dennis Scott as he said , that they could keep up with the greatest shooting team of all time ?
That was an embarrassing take, that magic team played nothing like the warriors, they played inside out with Shaq. The warriors are running pick and rolls and setting flare screens and back screens at 30 feet out. Not even close to comparable.
That isnt what he’s saying. They shoot great until they play teams that play great defense. The Magic had good shooting (Dennis Scott is top 10) because they had a dominant player inside AND a great point guard with size. The Bulls SWEPT them!!! That is because the Bulls shortest starter was 6’6”. How does Steph deal with that? Who does he guard? Y’all forget the Warriors have to defend the Bulls. Defense wins championships! Warriors best a team that could t defend. When they almost lost to Houston until CP3 got hurt, (was down 3-2), they swept Cleveland. So obviously Cleveland wasn’t good. The ‘96 Bulls are the best team ever. Even the NBA 2K simulator had Bulls in 6.
I’m the biggest warriors fan but I think it will go 7 …if the sad harden rockets went 7 with warriors in 18 …that bulls defense will disrupt the warriors offense and it will be toss up in game 7…when you shooting team all it takes it’s going cold from shooting one night to lose the series but when you rely on defense your chances of winning will be higher ..and bulls relied more on defense than the warriors.

That’s KD and one splash bro at least going off scoring wise. Then defensively the Warriors were good enough to keep switching on Jordan between Klay, Draymond and Iggy. Look folks , ITAFJ ? AYFKM ? the 2015 - 2019 Warriors would beat the 91 - 93 / 96 - 98 Bulls rather easily in the Finals . For one thing the 2015 - 2019 Warriors are not the 90s one trick Pick N Roll pony Lakers , Blazers , Suns , Sonics , or Jazz . Those teams couldn't hurt another team with constant 3s or Lockdown defense like the 2015 - 2019 Warriors could . Those Western Conference 90s Finals teams had one or two Stars , and mostly role players . None of those teams had more than 2 All Stars on them . Those teams didn't have 4 All Stars , or weren't 3 ball Sharp shooters nailing 40 percent or more like the Warriors had . People don't realize the 96 - 98 Bulls were some of the worst Shooting efficiency NBA Champs ever . That's because the level of Opponents' Defensive Rebounding in the Finals was terrible . The Bulls got more second and third shots because of it . The 2015 - 2019 Warriors wouldn't give the Bulls that chance .The 2015 - 2019 Warriors ran 5 different offenses .They were an ELITE Defense that could switch every position defensively and play position less Basketball . All 5 positions could hit a jump shot or 3 ball consistantly well for the Warriors in those seasons . The Bulls didn't have the personel to defend that much shooting versatility . Then there's just common sense . What Bull is Guarding the Splash Bros , or KD ? Who is guarding Iguadala on the Bulls Second Unit ? There's no way Jordan , Pippen , or Harper are chasing the Splash Bros and KD defensively for an entire 7 Game Series . KD would jump over any Bull Player , nailing shots at will from anywhere in the Half court . The Western Conference Champ teams I've mentioned in the 90s that the Bulls faced in the Finals didn't have multi talented shooting Scoring Generational talent like Steph / Klay / Andre / KD types . Rodman and his mind game taunting antics would foul out fast trying to Guard KD . Curry would dribble circles around Jordan , Pippen , Harper , Rodman , or Longley .
Wow. That's such a great argument to why the Bulls were better than the Warriors. Surely they have somebody to guard KD, run around screens to guard Klay and Steph amd surely 2 is greater than 3
Rodman, Jordan, and Pippen is possibly the greatest defensive collection on any team ever. Pippen and Jordan are the best defending wing duo of all time. Rodman would absolutely annihilate the GSW on the boards. Now throw in Ron Harper who was ALSO one of the best wing defenders in the league, and then Toni Kukoc, who (someone should remind Nick Wright) was 6'10", could shoot the 3, could defend, and was one of the greatest European players ever...and he came off the BENCH. Then consider that the Bulls were experts at forcing turnovers, and were fast-break specialists. The Bulls had 2 completely unguardable offensive threats, and the GSW had Durant. Between Harper and Pippen, Durant and Steph would have a tough time getting decent looks - in these last playoffs we JUST saw what happens to KD when he faces aggressive, tenacious defense. The Bulls D could've turned Durant into a potential non-factor, and he's not a great on-ball defender either. Neither is Steph. Plus Steph would have to contend with aggressive switches on defense by MJ and Pippen, and would be lucky to get 25 points. Meanwhile, who's guarding Mike? Klay Thompson?? LOL - that's one of those situations where MJ chuckles to himself and says "fifty" before proceeding to dismantle the Warriors defense and drop a half-dollar on them. No one on the Warriors is containing Jordan, and Pippen is a solid 20 more points, if not more. Now let Steve Kerr (legitimately the most accurate 3-point shooter of all time) catch-and-shoot or spot up coming off Rodman screens and he's putting up NUMBERS. Golden State would be lucky to break 90 points, and 3 of the Bulls alone would drop 90. At the end of the day, the Warriors might get one game, but this is a gentleman's sweep, 4-1 in favor of the Bulls.
@@robjames4160 that’s a new one. So klay Thompson is now a bad defender? You act like the bulls have superpowers. Are todays players not trying hard enough on defense? It’s actually difficult to guard curry.
In 96, that was the Worm's first season with the Bulls after a tumultuous year with San Antonio. It was also the GOAT's first full season after his semi-retirement. JOrdan was in revenge mode after his Bulls were beaten by Shaq and PEnny in the 95 EC Semis. The Bulls can go big with Longley at Center and they can go small with Kukoc at Center. IT will be a gentleman's sweep for the GOAT.
Teams and dynamics change regardless of which players are added or taken away. By Nick's logic Durants addition to the team, then the Warriors should have broken their own season record. Fact is..the dynamics changed. AND even if we wanted to go off of records alone...the Bull's still win when we take into account the TOTAL RECORD for the year...including playoffs AND won the championship.
@@xcwilliams7980 Exactly and the warriors team on 2016 lost 9 games in the playoffs and also lost. Nick Wright doesnt take that into account apparently.
The Bulls dominated their era. Warriors haven't dominated their era in a 10 year span like Chicago. Jordon probably would have had 8 rings if not for 2 years off in between those 2 three peats.
Which rules? 90’s refereeing or 2010’s? One thing I think so many people admire the Bulls teams is that Jordan never bailed to go create super team. He stuck with the program and stayed loyal.
@@edwarddavid-bermudez4553 They coulda used a top notch center (e.g. Ewing). By bailing, I mean he could have given up on Krause et al and jumped in ‘99. I do not know how long contracts lasted in those days but certainly by 88-89, coming close was not good enough. Different era. He stayed loyal to the team and city. Again, that is another reason he is held in such high regard to this day, I think.
96 Chicago would humiliate the 2017 GSW under either rules. They would literally suffocate them on Defense, and you aren’t stopping them on offense. They would laugh at GSW defense.
Exactly. If Steph was guarding Harper, Harper would back him down in the paint & either score over him or draw fouls on Steph. Nobody's stopping MJ & Pippen would wear down KD by making him play D.

I understand Jordan dominated the game but Steph Curry got rid of a position in the game and change how everyone played for 4 years. you really going to take Pippin over KD at his prime
P.S. Tim Duncan was most valuable player in West from 1998-2007, but he wasn't the most dominant and had to win his 4 titles without another true "star"! Parker and Manu were just great role players, while Kobe had Shaq and then eventually a prime Gasol, who was 2nd best and most valuable big man behind Duncan!
Yes you can lmao everyone knew it was Steph's team. KD could go off and they might lose but if Steph lights up the game was probably a 25 point blowout
I saw the bulls teams play from the 90’s. I’ve seen the warriors teams. It comes down to age , people who didn’t see the bulls teams play will say the warriors. The thunder had the warriors down 3-1, the warriors came back and beat them. KD joins the warriors the next year.
The Warriors were able to come back and win that series against the Thunder because they kept starting Andre Roberson who the Warriors literally were not having to guard. It allowed his defender to clog the lane and double team KD and Westbrook and mucked everything up. It really didn't have anything to do with the Warriors it was just poor personnel decision by the Thunder coach. You're only as good as your weakest link and Roberson ultimately killed them.
Been able to watch both those teams and it would be an epic battle but I take Warriors in 7. The Bulls never played a team that moved off the ball as much as Steph and Klay do and would eventually wear them down which would affect their offense. Imagine Jordan chasing Steph and Klay around? He was in great shape but not as great as Steph and Klay. Also they dont have guys with Steph or Klays range so they would need to extend their defense. This leaves the paint pretty open if someone wanted to slash to the rim or have KD post up with Steph and Klay on perimeter. Also the Bulls dont see a PF like Green running the floor on a fast break. They mentioned Pippen guarding KD but as great as Pippen is KD has faced similar defenders like Kawhi for instance and still get buckets. During Bulls time it was packed in the paint much more so they would have to really have great communication on screen and rolls and people running to the hoop. Jordan would get his but he would work harder for it posting up or driving the lane and Pippen to an extent since he wasnt as good a shooter as he was more a slasher to the rim. Anyway great argument for either team depends who you like more.
Jordan would not guard step..harper can do the deal his hand checking was the best in the league ...Jordan can guard klay easily..and Pippen can easily guard KD one on one....if iggy can guard Kd in 2016..pippen was a much better defender than iggy..mit would be a sweep by the bulls..
The 2017 warriors would easily beat the 1996 bulls. The warriors have better shooters and deeper. They play a better perimeter defence..can switch on everyone and play a better system where everyone is moving. Granted that mj is the goat..but i do think that iggy..livingston..dray and klay can probably contain him a little..outside of mj..the bulls has nobody we can consider a real threat offensively..not eve pippen...and pip can not stop kd in the block..or harper and jordan can keep up with either steph and klay. The only chance the bulls have is to slow down the pace of the game and hope that steph, klay and kd will not be as sharp as they usually are..warriors in 5 if they have the homecourt advantage, and in six if they dont have. I am assuming that tha series is 2-2-1-1-1..

Chris argument was super weak lol. Loved that Orlando team (Shaq my second favorite player all time) but to act like their shooting was anywhere comparable to GS is revisionist history at its peak. Not say GS would win either but that was just a terrible foundation for his argument
You, like Nick are ignoring the matchups from the other side of the ball. The warriors have no way to handle the bulls off attack. Their def doesn’t come close to being strong enough to handle MJ in the lane. KD is a liability on def, leaving Pip to distribute however he wants… MJ underneath, Kukoc at the rim or out to 16 ft… Scotty keeps it himself… and then plenty more of MJ in between all of that.
The bulls would be flabbergasted seeing the way the warriors shoot... packing the paint wouldn't be so effective with three of the best shooters ever on one team

agreed. However, I think that warriors are just a bad matchup for the bulls. They were dominate in similar ways. We playing under modern rules or old ones where flagrant fouls didn't exist? Because given their experience with those old Detroit Pistons teams, the Bulls could basically start REALLY hacking the Warriors and I don't think Golden State can play with the same mindset or attitude.
People act like Steph didn’t struggle vs dellavedova for the first 4 games of the 2015 NBA finals and that’s the real reason he didn’t win finals MVP. Could you imagine Jordan guarding curry? Best defensive SG of all time and best defensive SF of all time in the same team guarding KD. With that being said, it all comes down to what era they’re playing in.

It's funny how people don't even remember to talk about the Warriors defence. Like they've been one of the best defensive team even with that awesome. Klay and Curry will wear out the Bulls running around screens.

Warriors are gonna left shooting 3s but they ain’t posting in the paint against Rodman or pippen lol and no matter its curry or klay or kd they aint built like this that it’s gonna be swish everyime. Curry choked to good defenders multiple times we saw his stat line going 3-10 against Caruso lol so I’ll take my chances on bulls.

Also harden and CP3 took KD warriors to 7 games and overtime lol bulls destroying them

In this argument, people always forget 2 things: Kukoc would start at center and be a beast, and the Bulls defense wouldn’t be effected a whole lot by the rule changes because Jordan, Harper, and Pippen were more finesse defenders then thuggish defenders.
Kukoc can start at whatever he wanted. Bulls getting demolished

Nah micheal Jordan is the measuring stick of greatness .
Naw you need Rodman out there but I do agree all them Bulls teams was good
So Broussard thinks Becuase they beat “ok” shooters nick Anderson and Dennis Scott as he said , that they could keep up with the greatest shooting team of all time ?
Because of eras the comparisons will never be one to one. It was the closest he could come up with and I think it was fair.
That was the greatest perimeter defending team that was ever put together they are the only team that has good matchups against the Warriors all time Ron Harper was all NBA defense second team Michael Jordan all NBA defensive First team Scottie Pippen all NBA defensive first team former defensive player of the year two times Dennis Rodman all NBA defense second team that year Jordan would take steps lunch money
Depends if MJ takes it personally 😂
Great teams do it consistently year on year. And Nick needs to remember the rules were different then as they are now
So kawhi Leonard locked up Kevin Durant in game 1 of and then got injured so are we saying Scotty can't lock up Kevin Durant but kawaii can and the warriors were down by 25 when he got injured

Warriors NEVER faced a number 1 offense and DEFENSE(96 Bulls). Bulls would beat the Warriors.
Complete cap.
@@jackriver1999 Clearly you never watched the Bulls play. Cute attempt though. Care to elaboratre?
@@robjames4160 that’s a new one. So klay Thompson is now a bad defender? You act like the bulls have superpowers. Are todays players not trying hard enough on defense? It’s actually difficult to guard curry.
We love MJ and the Bulls in 1996 but the Warriors in 2017 would have beat that team.
In your fantasy mind lolol. Warriors in 6 100%
Lebron wasn’t on either of those teams? 🤔

No, instead they were 15-1 when it actually mattered.
@@xcwilliams7980 big facts
@@xcwilliams7980 Exactly and the warriors team on 2016 lost 9 games in the playoffs and also lost. Nick Wright doesnt take that into account apparently.
Durant missed 15 games, and they STILL won 67… and not to mention 16-1 in the postseason
The Bulls dominated their era. Warriors haven't dominated their era in a 10 year span like Chicago. Jordon probably would have had 8 rings if not for 2 years off in between those 2 three peats.
We’re only talking about both teams in that specific year, not throughout several years buddy.
Jordan would have 6 rings. Not 8.
Which rules? 90’s refereeing or 2010’s? One thing I think so many people admire the Bulls teams is that Jordan never bailed to go create super team. He stuck with the program and stayed loyal.
The Bulls were already the best team in the league. Why would he ever bail-he had everything he ever needed.
I’m sure the 2017 cavs thought the same thing you did and look what happened.

Jordan wasn’t that good lmaoo 🤣🤣
LOL. You can argue KD has more talent that Jordan, but Jordan was clearly the better NBA Player. Offense impact, a wash. @@theprocessss You mean, the Magic who is one of the top 5 players in the history of the NBA? Yea, he is not easy to keep up with, just like any great player. Bulls had a 18 game winning streak during that 95-96 season.

Warriors once had 24-0 run

Steph is not big enough to stop Pippen at all and u can put Randy Brown on him bc he is a good defender. KD is not a good defender at all!!!

Curry is wrong. Warriors sweep.
I guess they forgot Kerr was on that 96 Bulls Championship team...so who teach the warriors the triangle spacing...I'll wait
You really going to bet against Jordan in game 7 in the finals?
@@antoniouy9704 LOL, the Warriors aren’t beating the ‘96 Bulls.
Nick absolutely COOKED this segment. He not only called out the problems with the counterarguments, but made a very simple and digestible argument for his case. Nick got it, bruh
The moment Steph is on a non threat they become a threat!
Bulls in 5. This isn’t an argument, it’s not even close. By the way, nothing more than a clown show of comments.
The bulls would be flabbergasted seeing the way the warriors shoot... packing the paint wouldn't be so effective with three of the best shooters ever on one team
The 3 point line in 1996 was 22' back, vs 23' today.
When It Comes To Physicality Era There Was A Few Teams To None That Could Do Damage To 96 97 98 Chicago Bulls Miami Indiana New York & Orlando And Detroit Very Few Teams But When MJ Was Healthy He Delivered 6 Championships
