Also like Gant she forced Nayhuta to confess a murder he didn't commit to protect his sister (just like Lana and Ema). We could evensay the fear she had of people finding out about her lack of spiritual power was the same of the Phantom having is true identity revealed.
The final case was creepy as sin. Think about the villain in that case. All the destruction and death that person caused. And over petty squabbles too.
She doesn’t use her power effectively. Alba is a much weaker political entity, but he is much better at working with his limited power than Ga’ran is with her nearly unlimited authority.

As soon as this played, you already sensed a hint that your opponent basically committed lawyer-genocide, or just genocide in general (she was going to if you actually failed to prove your client was not guilty, because of the DC act). Also, if memory serves, the court of resignation in Khura'in is the court where the punishments are dealt out. Do also remember that many people begged for mercy and a lesser sentence towards the queen. Some failed, some succeeded. The Court of Resignation is a hellish court of despair and abject terror, and the music perfectly captures that feeling. Every second this song played during the start of the trial, not once did I not beg to want out of that whole business as I played as Apollo. HAVE YOU EVEN SEEN HOW RAYFA ACTED DURING THE FIRST SEANCE?? I'm not even gonna say that the true culprit wasn't obvious. OF COURSE Ga'ran is malicious in nature. And the revolution wouldn't end without anyone somehow removing her from the seat of power. We HAD to catch the queen on a crime otherwise the DC Act will continue to claim more lives. That is a tremendous amount of burden for even someone like Apollo or Phoenix to carry, and with each instance Ga'ran exercises her authority to bend the law to her will, the burden becomes heavier. What an absolutely terrifying AA villain, perfectly fitting for one of the heaviest AA games. Such malice and power should never be possible…

Imagine if Ga`ran would`ve sensed what Apollo was planning to do beforehand & would`ve made a law that said that the queen cannot be arrested or punished in any way for any crime & made another law stating that any laws made by former queens, regardless of the degree of legitimacy of their right on the throne, shall not be considered as null and void at any point whatsoever.

If he didn’t feel the need to sneak up on Dane, Dane wouldn’t have killed him, meaning the dumb detective of the case wouldn’t have told this to Blaise, meaning he wouldn’t have forged the evidence and given it to Manfred, meaning Gregory wouldn’t be dead, meaning Miles would be an Attorney, meaning Phoenix wouldn’t be an Attorney. Plus Phoenix wouldn’t have been blamed in court for the murder of Doug Swallow because Dahlia wouldn’t be born, because Misty wouldn’t have ran away.
The fact Ga'ran actually caused a giant butterfly effect that in the end made Phoenix get disbarred is INSANE. Apollo probably wouldn't have become a lawyer as well. What the fuck did this woman do to the timeline. Honestly, I can't imagine the amount of pressure Apollo and Phoenix had in Turnabout Revolution. Not only did Phoenix experience a Farewell, My Turnabout again and Apollo almost fucking drown, they both had to risk their lives to defend a wanted criminal by arguing against the most hopeless case ever. They ALSO had to go against the fucking QUEEN OF KHURA'IN, a witch who can change the damned law whenever she wanted. And then Apollo discovered his foster father was dead the entire time he defended him. So yeah, they deserve a really good break. Please let them rest capcom let them go back to silly cases PLEASE.

Possibly AA's best main villain, in terms of being JUST SO GODDAMN EVIL. Matt Engarde and the Phantom still hold the gold for being unforeseeable (you can see Ga'ran's villainy coming from a mile away), but she's basically Manfred von Karma, Dahlia Hawthorne, Kristoph Gavin and Quercus Alba put together. The other thing I love about her is the amount of gravitas she holds within the series' mythos; if it wasn't for her, Apollo's entire past would be a different story and we wouldn't know him as the character he is. The entirety of AA4 probably wouldn't have happened because Thalassa would never have returned to the Gramaryes (as she wouldn't have lost Jove and Apollo) or, at the very least, would never have become entangled with Zak and Valant. And as a result of Apollo's absence, the Wright Anything Agency would cease to exist, and Phoenix would still be a pianist. Ga'ran not only has a lot of blood on her hands, but also a lot of the franchise's weight on her shoulders.
Well, actually, without Ga'ran, Phoenix would probably never have lost his badge. Without the blackmail of Thalassa's "death" the murder of Magnifi would never have happened and therefore Kristoph wouldn't have had a reason to give Phoenix forged evidence.

I just finished this game and then started playing prof. layton vs phoenix wright... Then suddenly from the audience in one of the cases some random lady shouted "such insolence!" and flashbacks of vietnam with this as background music started playing in my head.
I think this Queen is kinda underrated. Yes she was oblious. But 1 I think other main villain (like Von Karma, Gant and the final boss of the the great ace attorney was also obvious) 2 her power and influence make her a really great threat. I love how all of her action make a giant Butterfly effect for everything since AP. And her plan with her sister and the channelling was excellent and really good to solve.
It's a sinister, twisted and aggressive version of "Audience Chamber". It's like Ga'ran's 2 themes: the first one represents her polite, strong and wise monarch act while this one is fitting for her true nature

He throws off a glove which hid his dragon symbol on his hand. and the glove had a SPIDER PICTURE ON IT.

*Spoilers for SoJ* Ga'ran killed Apollo's true father, Jove. Inga killed Apollo's adoptive father, Dhurke, who is then killed by Ga'ran. Turnabout Revolution's second act is like Apollo getting revenge on the royal family (minus Rayfa, who isn’t even a biological child of Ga'ran's) for his fathers' deaths, while assisted by Phoenix.
I would argue dahlia is still more evil than Ga’ran despite of what Ga’ran has done. If dahlia got into position as a country’s queen she would not focus on the citizens like Ga’ran did but more on manipulation of international level...... but yes, they share similarity in terms of mentality and personality. And also, she ROSE from dead and even attempt to defend herself against Godot and successfully leave a fking mark. Doubt Ga’ran can handle a blade battle against a vengeful Godot.

That's the things with final villains, they are either powerful, in which case they are also predictable (like Von Karma) or not that powerful but very sneaky (Matt, the Phantom).
If Apollo gets the rogues gallery of ace attorney villains squeezed in one villain (which is pretty darn awesome) as final culprit of his trilogy, what can Athena get? I got an Idea! see if Garan is qualities of almost every major AA villain combined, Athena will get the most fierce prosecutor made up of qualities of the prosecutors seen so far in AA that make them dangerous prosecution for defense. I think the mixture for final culprit+ prosecutor for Athena trilogy endgame can be= Von Karma's tactics and cautiousness + Franziska's whip + Edgeworth's UPDATED AUTOPSY REPORT, and in almost EVERY CASE IN THE GAME + Godot's.......uh........calmness? I think unlimited penalty would work (and addiction to a food too, anything instead of coffee or tea this time tho)+ Klavier's..........(ok this is getting hard)........air music thing but with a different instrument and taunting (yes didn't you notice he taunts Apollo often)+ Simon's psychological games and manipulation + Nahayuta's devotion to get defendants punished and that 'putrid insect lawyers' insult + Garan-like position of power. That's the best I could come up with
I feel like such a prosecutor, as described, would be way too quirky to be a final villain... I imagine her final boss would be whoever has the phantom on their payroll.
He still sent many innocent people on death rows without giving it much thought, behaved like a jerk and HE MURDERED DHURKE... but he cared for Rayfa and loved her, he also treated Maya well in hostage apparently so I'll give him that.
Fitting for a game with so many reused plot points from the old games, Ga'ran mirrors a lot of the previous villains. besides the obvious Manfred Von Karma and Morgan Fey, like Damon Gant, She forces a Prosecutor to take the fall for her crime through blackmail she has over their younger sibling and uses their position to manipulate courts, She transforms when revealing her more evil side in a way that mirror's Matt Engarde's own reveal of his scar face, Ga'ran and Dahlia share a vicious streak and force a sibling to impersonate them when it's needed. Ga'ran also hides behind a facade of being a nice person and has guards who fawn over her in a way not that different from how Feenie and Terry Fawles fawn over Dollie. She covers up the survival of a sister caught in a fire like Mimi Miney,She regularly abuses her power over the law as queen to get away with murder like how Quercus Alba abused his position as a war hero and Ambassador to get away with two murders and like Alba the victim she killed was just as horrible as her. She treats Rayfa with as much love as Blaise did to Sebastian (tying in with Rayfa's similarities to Sebastian) in fact the Player is initially lead to believe that both are doting parents but then they turn out to be abusive and they both have scenes where they shame their children in front of an entire court room. She frames a heroic Defense Attorney who wears blue for a crime that destroys their reputation and prevents them from practicing law for several years like Kristoph Gavin. Have i missed anything?

Plus Phoenix wouldn’t have been blamed in court for the murder of Doug Swallow because Dahlia wouldn’t be born, because Misty wouldn’t have ran away.
The fact Ga'ran actually caused a giant butterfly effect that in the end made Phoenix get disbarred is INSANE. Apollo probably wouldn't have become a lawyer as well. What the fuck did this woman do to the timeline.
Honestly, I can't imagine the amount of pressure Apollo and Phoenix had in Turnabout Revolution. Not only did Phoenix experience a Farewell, My Turnabout again and Apollo almost fucking drown, they both had to risk their lives to defend a wanted criminal by arguing against the most hopeless case ever. They ALSO had to go against the fucking QUEEN OF KHURA'IN, a witch who can change the damned law whenever she wanted. And then Apollo discovered his foster father was dead the entire time he defended him. So yeah, they deserve a really good break. Please let them rest capcom let them go back to silly cases PLEASE.

Possibly AA's best main villain, in terms of being JUST SO GODDAMN EVIL.
Matt Engarde and the Phantom still hold the gold for being unforeseeable (you can see Ga'ran's villainy coming from a mile away), but she's basically Manfred von Karma, Dahlia Hawthorne, Kristoph Gavin and Quercus Alba put together.
The other thing I love about her is the amount of gravitas she holds within the series' mythos; if it wasn't for her, Apollo's entire past would be a different story and we wouldn't know him as the character he is. The entirety of AA4 probably wouldn't have happened because Thalassa would never have returned to the Gramaryes (as she wouldn't have lost Jove and Apollo) or, at the very least, would never have become entangled with Zak and Valant. And as a result of Apollo's absence, the Wright Anything Agency would cease to exist, and Phoenix would still be a pianist.
Ga'ran not only has a lot of blood on her hands, but also a lot of the franchise's weight on her shoulders.
Well, actually, without Ga'ran, Phoenix would probably never have lost his badge. Without the blackmail of Thalassa's "death" the murder of Magnifi would never have happened and therefore Kristoph wouldn't have had a reason to give Phoenix forged evidence.

2 her power and influence make her a really great threat. I love how all of her action make a giant Butterfly effect for everything since AP.
And her plan with her sister and the channelling was excellent and really good to solve.

He throws off a glove which hid his dragon symbol on his hand. and the glove had a SPIDER PICTURE ON IT.

Turnabout Revolution's second act is like Apollo getting revenge on the royal family (minus Rayfa, who isn’t even a biological child of Ga'ran's) for his fathers' deaths, while assisted by Phoenix.

From what I've gathered based on the tracklist+the AA Wikia, this track is called "The Court of Resignation"
I would argue dahlia is still more evil than Ga’ran despite of what Ga’ran has done. If dahlia got into position as a country’s queen she would not focus on the citizens like Ga’ran did but more on manipulation of international level...... but yes, they share similarity in terms of mentality and personality. And also, she ROSE from dead and even attempt to defend herself against Godot and successfully leave a fking mark. Doubt Ga’ran can handle a blade battle against a vengeful Godot.

Ga'ran is the best villain in this series. She outclasses Manfred on Karma, Engarde, Dahlia Hawthorne, The Phantom, and yes even Kristoph Gavin.

I got an Idea! see if Garan is qualities of almost every major AA villain combined, Athena will get the most fierce prosecutor made up of qualities of the prosecutors seen so far in AA that make them dangerous prosecution for defense. I think the mixture for final culprit+ prosecutor for Athena trilogy endgame can be=
Von Karma's tactics and cautiousness + Franziska's whip + Edgeworth's UPDATED AUTOPSY REPORT, and in almost EVERY CASE IN THE GAME + Godot's.......uh........calmness? I think unlimited penalty would work (and addiction to a food too, anything instead of coffee or tea this time tho)+ Klavier's..........(ok this is getting hard)........air music thing but with a different instrument and taunting (yes didn't you notice he taunts Apollo often)+ Simon's psychological games and manipulation + Nahayuta's devotion to get defendants punished and that 'putrid insect lawyers' insult + Garan-like position of power. That's the best I could come up with

Fitting for a game with so many reused plot points from the old games, Ga'ran mirrors a lot of the previous villains. besides the obvious Manfred Von Karma and Morgan Fey, like Damon Gant, She forces a Prosecutor to take the fall for her crime through blackmail she has over their younger sibling and uses their position to manipulate courts, She transforms when revealing her more evil side in a way that mirror's Matt Engarde's own reveal of his scar face, Ga'ran and Dahlia share a vicious streak and force a sibling to impersonate them when it's needed. Ga'ran also hides behind a facade of being a nice person and has guards who fawn over her in a way not that different from how Feenie and Terry Fawles fawn over Dollie. She covers up the survival of a sister caught in a fire like Mimi Miney,She regularly abuses her power over the law as queen to get away with murder like how Quercus Alba abused his position as a war hero and Ambassador to get away with two murders and like Alba the victim she killed was just as horrible as her. She treats Rayfa with as much love as Blaise did to Sebastian (tying in with Rayfa's similarities to Sebastian) in fact the Player is initially lead to believe that both are doting parents but then they turn out to be abusive and they both have scenes where they shame their children in front of an entire court room. She frames a heroic Defense Attorney who wears blue for a crime that destroys their reputation and prevents them from practicing law for several years like Kristoph Gavin. Have i missed anything?
