    Also, diets are tough going. You have to radically change a big part of your life. However “good” a diet is it’s placing a restriction on your normal activities. Anyway good luck!

    Hi Emma, I almost started the Fast 800, but opted for the 5:2 diet, as like the freedom to eat a few carbs on my non fast days. Losing 1lb a week now - it's slow, I'm learnning patience. Keep going Emma, the early few weeks are a 'mare getting started and reprogramming the brain - you got this💖. Loving your check ins. It helps others too, as so many will relate.xx

      Thank you. I’ve thought the same about the 5:2. But I was thinking about maybe trying 3/4 800 days a week so it’s sort of a half way house between the Fast 800 and the 5:2. I really don’t mind as long as things are heading in the right direction! Xx

I am having a hard day and actually started crying a little because I wanted to grab a treat so bad 😩 lol. Your video helped me feel back on track. Thank you ❤

      Thank you, I’m glad it helped. I think everybody trying to lose weight and change their lifestyle has felt like that at some point. You’re not on your own, we all have hard days but don’t be too hard on yourself ❤️

    Hi Emma, I like watching your videos and you seem like a genuine, kind person.
    I wanted to say I'd recommend 5:2, eating 1600 calories 5 days a week and 800 calories 2 days a week. I tried fast 800 and only managed to last 12 days. It just wasnt sustainable and I couldn't rely on will power alone.
    I lost weight doing 5:2 in 2020, but unfortunately have gained it all back and more since. After that, I haven't managed to get back on track and tbh I lost motivation at the idea of having to do it again. I know its tempting to want quick results with something such as fast 800, but in my case it leads to me be on track for a few days, then binge eat for the rest of week before starting again on Monday. Rinse and repeat for years. I started 5:2 again on Monday and am determined to see it through.
    Sticking to 800 calories twice a week is still a challenge but its manageable as I know I can eat double the next day. I also had a fortnightly cheat meal which really helped. I'd go out for dinner on a Saturday but have a normal breakfast and lunch. I'd avoid doing a 800 calorie day before and after the cheat meal.
    Whatever you decide, I wish you luck and hope you continue to share your journey with us.

I think some of it for me will be trial and error until I get into a groove doing the fast 800, 5:2 or something in between.     Well done, you will smash it… when you have 1 rose in a bunch start to drop you don’t throw the entire bunch out… you just take out the 1 rose… same with a week… have a bad day… but don’t let it become a bad week x

    Thanks for sharing. I am into week 2 on the Fast 800 and beginning to struggle. Like you I am trying to plan ahead, because it's no good opening the fridge and thinking what's for dinner? you have to be ready to go. I've done a bit of batch cooking that has helped. Also I tried the Portobello Pizza from the Easy book - these were so good I nearly cried! I've got my first meal out this week which I am not sure how to handle. I've been losing and gaining weight for nearly 30 years now and am hoping that the Fast 800 is the way to go. Good luck on your journey.

      Hi! I completely understand, losing weight is the hardest thing I've ever tried to do (and I've tried and failed many times!!). How are things going now? I'll have to try the pizzas if they're that good! 🙂

    Just keep going. Keep making the very next decision a better one - rather than waiting until next day, next week, etc - that’s my tip anyway.
    I really recommend the channel Half of Carla - she has loads of great tips on losing lots of weight inc how to break down big goals into tiny ones.

    800 cals is too low long term. why don't you try 1200 cals a day and walk for an hour.

      It’s relatively short term… as you can only do it for a max length of time and works when BMI is higher x

      Your regain might be water weight. When you eat “fun” food, your body packs on water.
