The car's color is called chartreuse. It's 50% yellow and 50% green.
I've always liked this dudes channel because you never know what to expect, he doesn't fit into any typical gamer stereotypes, takes us all on to these different locations and has a very diverse bunch of people on it which is why people love it so much

I've been to Recycle Video Games! The owner is super nice. Many years ago when I was 12 or 13 I called the store one day asking if a couple games I had were enough to trade for Ocarina of Time. The games I had were really generic, I remember, not worth much, but she came back on the phone a minute later and said "That's EXACTLY enough!" I was so happy I rushed to the store and got myself a copy of Zelda, but I remember something seemed kind of off. It wasn't until a few days later I realized the games I had were probably not anywhere near enough in trade. But she could tell I was a kid who desperately wanted to play OoT and she let me have it.
Sorry for the book, but I just thought it was really cool seeing this place is still there. I never forgot how nice she was and I'm really happy she's still in business!
Dude, my hometown! I used to shop at Recycled Video Games in North Bend throughout my teenage years in the 2000s. The owner was always super friendly and helpful. She used to try to fix my busted PS1 disks back in the day lol
She's super nice and I had a blast hanging out with her.

I was born in coos bay. Nice to see hidden gems in my home town. Wish every day that Coos Bay can grow back to how I remember it in the 80s
The Seaside bumper cars and arcade were my childhood too! Where I first played X-men, Turtles, Simpsons.
That store owner will definitely put that town on the map. I already want to visit just to see this shop, a museum would be amazing!

@@hellocollegejason198 I can only speak for the PC games. She didn't have any prices on them she asked me make her an offer. She did look up the value on some of them but everything was fair and reasonable.
@@hellocollegejason198 Or simply bought a lot of stuff when it was very cheap/accumulated it over years. Having looked at some other comments, it seems the store has been there for decades.

plus oregon is more beautiful than expected other than what i hear from family since they live in the urban areas, but this definitely seals the deal for one of the destinations for visiting or even moving really.. esp for the coastal environment i miss from back home in the islands you dont get that much in the states, atleast from a portion of the atlantic side...

I just wanna thank you for getting me into retro games again. I was born in the 80's and had some great times with the games we had. Because of you I now have a decent Wii collection that my children LOVE!!!! Thank you for just being you!
If you look on a color wheel, you will see that green and yellow are right next to each other. We often tend to think of colors in groups which are different to one another, but colour falls into a spectrum (it is light after all) that blends every color into one another on a gradient. Short answer: You're both right! Your car is sitting right between green and yellow on the spectrum, and its color is a combination of both mixed together.
I'd say it is more yellow than green, but it definitely is a mix of both.

I love Recycle Games, I was the first person to walk through their doors when they first opened and I've been a regular ever since. Annie always has something cool hiding somewhere!

All of my friends just grew up and they don't enjoy games or anything else they used to enjoy when they were younger, even called it childish. I'm glad you and your friends are always like this. These are the kind of people I wanna be around.

This is my favorite type of Metal Jesus video! Traveling with DMP and Mrs. Metal Jesus, video games, vinyl records. That's what it's all about! Gives me vibes of the good ol' days with you and DMP going down to meet John Handcock for the first time and checking out his game room, getting lost along the way. All I need now is a new gamer eats and my heart will be happy lol.
You mentioned at the beginning of the video that the last Blockbuster was in Eugene. It's in Bend. And at the end, you play a clip where you hit up 3 of my favorite places to game hunt/shop! Videogame Headquarters, Green Acres Goodwill and House of Records!

I was ecstatic to see this video. I am from Nebraska but have flown to Coos Bay three years in a row and have stayed for 3-5 days each time. I always make a trip to recycle video games while I’m there, usually 2 or 3 😆. It really is a diamond in the rough when it comes to retro stores across the country. That area of the Oregon coast is beautiful and there is a lot of scenery to take in. My girlfriend and I have been to 5 of the scenic lighthouses on the coast. Metal Jesus I have been watching your videos for about 10 years and I’m glad you appreciate that area of Oregon as well. Nice to see recycle video games get some coverage on your channel. My new favorite of your videos :)

Well. I think the official color of the VW is called "Lime YELLOW" or "Pomelo YELLOW metallic" so... take that as you want (or calibrate your monitors!) And yes they definetly have green pigments underneath. Dispute resolved? xD Sorry Paul.

I couldn’t really tell what prices she had. Are they on the high end?
@@leeartlee915 It's kinda hard to say since prices are all over the board from one store to another in this state. Last game I bought was Family guy for PS3 and she was lower than online at the time at $45 and no one else in the state had a copy. Very nice owner and has more knowledge than most. She has 3 stores.

Wow I've never been this early for a MJR drop
When I moved to Arizona I work for a company that had me go to Oregon for 9 months and I got to see a lot of places like bend Eugene Portland coos Bay and it was just so beautiful to see because I had moved from Kentucky and I had missed my mountains and I got to see my mountains again sort of through Oregon scenery and it was really nice and one of my favorite game stores to go to is retro game trader I'd really like to go back there.
Can't wait for part two. Eugene is my stomping grounds, and I can see you hit up Video Game Headquarters. And that Goodwill is my honey hole. ❤
Your car is a green-yellow. Also, you literately stayed in my home town. That Air B&B you stayed at in Manzanita, I know the people that operate that place :-) I live about 10 minutes or so from there. Super cool, bummed I missed bumping into you guys. Glad you had a great time!

Epic trip! I'd say there's an "essence" of green in the paint but it's definitely yellow. One thing I'm noticing about arcades up here in New England is that there are far fewer video games and considerably more games of chance. Although two weeks ago I found a super loose claw machine and walked away with five Care Bears and a stuffed dog. My kids were in awe.

Btw, for me, it depends on the sunlight, between Lemon Yellow and Lemon Green color, I go for the color on good light conditions because is the way it works.

All the coastal states are gorgeous. Especially the pacific coast. That’s why it’s so damn expensive out here.

So awesome to see my hometown of North Bend/Coos Bay! Glad you got to see high tide instead of the muddy low tide we have, lol. That small strip mall store used to be a surf shop when it first opened.
Too bad you didn't head over to Shore Acres. That's the original garden of the mansion that once used to sit there until it burned to the ground. It's still gorgeous there.

I really like those trips videos. I live in Europe and I never leaved the continent so far, and you do show places and stores that are not shown in movies, TV shows or documentaries. It does make me want to visit those places, and of course it's always great to see those stores full of boxes.
Hopefully the museum project will open, I would love to visit such a thing. It's awesome

I love Oregon. I live in Canada. I have vacationed many, many times in Oregon. I am in absolute love with the place. The Towns, cities, people, the whole overall feeling of Oregon is amazing. I would love to live there. Perhaps one day.

Very scenic and laid back trip! I dunno it's kind of a yellowy green colored car lol I'd probably say green to be honest. Love the beautiful beach and Goonies always comes to mind. What an impressive store in North Bend. Sweet video!

Love these road trip + game hunting videos as always! About the color of the car it seems you've got yourself one of those lighting color shifting cars, but it does appear to look yellow more often than green, so I'd have to lean towards yellow.
