In a few weeks, I'll release a longer Director's Cut of the entire Oregon road trip video along with a Behind the Scenes AUDIO COMMENTARY w/ me and Drunken Master Paul to Patreon! This will give you some insight into how the entire trip was filmed (5 cameras), some things that either changed or didn't go as planned, goofs and more. I think you guys will dig it! Kia Ora I been watching the channel for awhile cause you provide excellent information. I have a question about the psp memory sticks, I've been thinking about ordering a official 128gb memory stick from amazon america, can it be formatted to a psp running the pal software version.
Thanks so much for coming by the store! It's always great when we can help someone find something for their collection. We all love the channel, keep up the great work. Come back soon!
You’ve really stepped it up a notch with this series, almost like a travel documentary about gaming. It’s awesome, I hope you keep this multi-part format up for your future travels, cause I can’t get enough. Props to Rebecca too, her camera work is outstanding.
Thanks! Yeah I really did try a lot of different stuff with this series to take it to the next level and it was really fun to do. And yes, Rebecca on camera is a big part of that. Thanks for noticing!
Man you seem like such a nice and cool dude, MJR. No wonder you have good relationships with others especially with another cool dude Reggie. I’ve been watching you for about ten years and you’re one of my favorites. Keep being such a cool person and keep making great content as much as you can, brother. You’re the man and your wife and friends are cool too. Salutations from a friend and fan in Miami Florida, brother.
Oregon looks incredibly beautiful and appears to have a nice community. @MetalJesusRocks you've done a fantastic job showing the area, these local shops that are so important to the community. You are also very polite, extremely respectful, unbiased and give honest opinions without offending anyone. Well done on that, and I'm sure the shop owners are happy to see videos like this promoting their shops. From London!
I live in Eugene, and I frequent that Goodwill fairly often. The last time I was there, I do not remember that line of Wii Fit games being that long. That's honestly impressive. Also, thanks for going into Video Game Headquarters! I've heard of it but never been. Looks awesome! I have to check it out.
MetalJesus continues to be a pillar of positive attitude and genuine wholesome content. He shares his love for his hobby in a way that makes me excited for him. I started following him before 200k, and I couldn't be happier to see him approaching that 1million. Congrats man! You deserve it!
I'm from Eugene and I'm going back to visit tomorrow, so this video just got me even more excited. I never knew about the House of Records basement, that's such a cool store! Eugene has lost a lot of good video games stores over the years sadly. Pickings are pretty slim these days. But I do think Video Game Headquarters is a good one!
This video brought back ao many memories! I graduated from the University of Oregon in 2019 and i definitely was a frequent customer at all of these locations! (Especially the goodwell, got lucky a ton before the game boom). Man, i miss the PNW.
It's great when you see mom & pop stores that are clearly dedicated to what they are selling and they definitely know their stuff. It's also nice how open and welcoming they are. That must've been pretty cool to be recognized by people.
Love these road trip vlogs. I mean, cruising in your GTI, beautiful weather, good friends, and family, hunting nostalgic game/music Ma and Pa stores?? Where do I sign up!!!! LOVE IT. Life is GOOD!!! Keep up the good work, and Thanks for sharing this fabulous good time with us on TH-cam👍
My grandfather owned a record store in Brooklyn, NY from the 1950's through mid 70's. Most of the inventory was sold off before he retired but I bet he had some now valuable titles in the shop. He knew the real Sam Goody!
I absolutely love when you document these trips… so much fun to watch. You are a ninja at editing too, really capture the feel of the road….Can’t wait for the next trip!
I do love this series. It highlights just what is still out there for retro gamers in regards to still being able to buy physical copies of games. The trip looked awesome and you got to go to some amazing places. I particularly like the first shop you went into tin part one. The lady owner seemed so nice and so very knowledgeable with what she had. Little stores like that are amazing and it's so great to see them still thriving to this day. I wish we had more of them here in the UK, but, to my knowledge we have the one where I live and it's just a cash grab. All they care about is getting the customers money and know nothing about what they sell and care less. But, the UK is not really big enough to house that many Little shops like that. Even back in the 90's we had a couple, but they didn't last very long. Still, I did get to see my very fist Vectrex console in one of them, but was not allowed to play it. Sadly, I do not have the space to house physical games where I live, so all my games are downloaded copies. But at least I still get to enjoy the games, if not the packaging. Anyway, I am really glad you had fun on your trip. I am looking forward to the next one.
So cool of you to take the time for photos with fans. Your videos are always done so perfectly and its always exciting to see when you have a new one go live! As always, appreciate you and what you bring to this community!
This week on MJR travels.... Wish Reggie was here too. Since game conventions don't happen as often, these travel blogs should suffice. Of course, pick ups videos are also my favorite. Actually, just you talking about stuff, meeting and talking to people, is fine. Retro stuff is basically dead where I'm at but I watch your videos still because of how you frame and present them. Keep it up!
I live in Eugene, these are my weekly haunts. It was very surreal seeing them on a youtube video! I've got art for sale up at Video Game Headquarters, the Ghostbusters and Nuka-Cola round prints in the background! So cool, glad you liked coming around!
I just moved to Eugene last month. I bought the original Nier from Epic Seconds while I was checking out places to live. Thanks for showing off some cool local spots!
A lot of my games that were stolen from my storage unit (twice) probably found there way to a cool hipster store like this… I’m bitter. Killed my love of collecting. “I NEED my PAIN!!” But I support your collecting! ❤️ the videos Mr. Jesus!
These travel vlogs are up there just beneath the pickups with Reggie, I really like them. Travel vlogs give me that feeling of wanderlust and the pickups give me the feel of hearing some good friends talk about video games. At 34 in a new home on my own in a new city that I moved to during lockdowns I never really met any gaming friends. It seems harder to make gaming friends in my 30s than my 20s and teenage years. I really miss having friends to hang out with, play, and talk about games.
Fantastic road trip! As gsomeone who has never been far up the west coast, it was great to see Oregon. I love your trip videos. I still look at the Japan one sometimes.
Love this video series! Top notch entertainment MJR! Love how you showcase the local shops, restaurants, and hangouts. Makes me want to go on a road trip too!
Heyo MJR! These travel vids are among my favorites. I'm from the Midwest, so watching these videos allows me to see a lot more of the country. The West Coast looks gorgeous.
As we dont really have such stores in Europe, its so enjoying to watch these series and also see places in states which i will never visit. Never stop with these 😊
I love these videos too. Who wouldn’t! 🤷♀️ Then again… I like making them also, so watching them when someone else is going someplace you’ve never been is always a treat.
As someone who has spent most of my life in Eugene/Coos Bay, this and your other video about the Oregon Coast were a trip to see! Thanks for highlighting our wonderful gaming hotspots! Been going to Videogame Headquarters since they opened back in 06' and Recycled Games since I moved to the bay in 10' and they both deserve the hype!
Great stuff. Going on a road trip with family and friends, visiting cool locations and buying stuff for the retro collection. It must have been an amazing trip for you guys :)
House of Records really is a treasure of a store. I bought my very first album from them back in the day. I am amazed they have managed to stay open. As for our video game stores…. I don’t know, we use to have a lot more options. I think what’s left is kinda “meh”.
I'm so glad you got to visit our awesome town! We moved to Eugene in 2018 and have been loving it! I've been watching you for years and love your content, keep it up! I have not even been to the goodwill superstore, definitely going to check that out!
This looks like a fun and exciting adventure. I recently went to a game convention and found some cool games also and I'm happy that many retro game stores and conventions are finally coming back after a long time. great finds games and music. Cool video. ^_^
Absolutely loving these Oregon videos, I’m from the UK and my collecting mainly comes from CeX (second hand media shop) would love to find places like these!
loved that you stopped by my hometown of Eugene, Oregon. Epic Seconds is awesome, the people working there are super cool. And Video Game headquarters is ok. The pawn shopping in the area is really cool as well. And Goodwills have been hit or miss as of late.
Thank you for visiting my home and showing what it has to offer. As i'm over sea's now it makes me miss my home and realize what i'm missing. (eugene or)
They know you will not be disrespectful to their customers and that you would be great for their business . I watch you from Brisbane Australia because of how respectful you are and the grounded Wayne's World passion vibe. Looking forward on watching for years 🤘
I’m currently a student at the university of Oregon in Eugene and have been watching your videos since I was in high school. It’s so cool to see you went to all of the places I go to in my free time to video game and vinyl hunt 🤣
Thanks again Mr Jesus. I'm housebound at the moment with an autoimmune disease that may or may not be temporary. Your videos are bringing me so much joy.
Metal Jesus you are one of my favorite video game channels, and now you are my favorite travel channel. I’ve been to Eugene a couple times and loved it. Thanks for bringing back so many good memories of that place.
What an excellent road trip. Thanks for sharing it with us. I always love your visits to the local games/records store, because they're museums in themselves.
Sold; Oregon is going on my list of places to go on my West Coast trip, I have not been there since I was about 10. I already had plans to see Crater lake again too, so thanks for the updated video...now I just need some time off.
Awesome Road Trip dude, thanks for taking us along for the Ride! I'm adding Oregon to my list of places to go after seeing all these great locations and stores.
Oregon looks like a fun state, I would like to visit if I ever go back to the USA. I did buy some games from an opp shop (goodwill) near me but they ended up going back there when I didn't play them for over 6 months. Were about $2 each
Very well done I live in Eugene and I have lived here for almost 60 years and you did a very fine job of showcasing some of the little jewels we have in this town. Thank you.
I've owned a lot of records for so long now that I do have several that have really gone up in value. Stuff I would not have expected! Might make a cool video Thanks!
I absolutely love the 3 videos you guys made on your trip through Organ. I never realized how beautiful the state of Organ is. It would be great to be able to visit some day.
been shopping House of Records since 1985 when I first bought RIDE THE LIGHTNING - its the only place in Eugene that I still feel at home in, Greg is the real deal, he cleans each and every record BY HAND that goes on the floor
I was so stoked to see you in Portland at Ground Kontrol! I wanted to thank you again for inducting me into the Metal Jesus Militia, and on my birthday of all days 😊 We hope to see you again soon in the great state of Oregon!
These trips are fantastic. My wife and I want to move to Eugene or Bend in a decade or so and man, you're making me want to move up that timeline by a few years lol. Looks like you had fun adn Rebecca is adorable.
Most of the goodwill / Salvation Army stores up here in Canada where I’m from anyways have monthly auctions that they place the game systems/ games in their front store windows for people to see and then place their bids in the store.
I’ve been wanting to travel to Oregon for a long time and your videos of your trip increase that desire! Good content, good locations, and thanks for all you do to entertain/educate us!
My dad and I were very happy to hear you’re planning two more road trips/ travel destinations this year and will be using your affiliate links until then to help fund them!
So cool seeing you visit here in Eugene! I’ve had some awesome finds at that Goodwill Computer Store along with other thrift stores in this area. Loved watching the Oregon videos and love your GTI, cheers!
love watching thos road trip, such fab games. I miss physical collecting...I just don't have the space sadly these days. I would love to build up my Amiga big box collection.
If I am not mistaken the guy who owns Video Game Headquarters also now owns my local game store down here in Roseburg. It is called Video Games Plus(no not that online store from Canada ours has been around a lot longer) ours gets a lot of inventory from them and vise versa. Prices are on par with price charting and ebay(with NO concideration for condition) always based off of hive values.
I like these game hunting videos. I like the fact that you get good content for your channel and the stores get great advertising. It's a win win. A smart store owner should embrace your tour.
I understand how some owners are wary of how a TH-camr may portray their store, but I always try to be respectful and fair. And if they ever told me no (which one has) I am happy to just film somewhere else.
Yes thank you dad
I zoomed in on Hack 4 quarantine, and dam that cost a bomb 💣 6:34
MJR always look forward to your videos it's Chad again shouting out from Greenville NC ❤
Do you have Phantom Crash ?
Kia Ora I been watching the channel for awhile cause you provide excellent information. I have a question about the psp memory sticks, I've been thinking about ordering a official 128gb memory stick from amazon america, can it be formatted to a psp running the pal software version.
I love when I see store owners proud of their business. It fills my heart with joy.
I wish other business owners were like that.
Thanks so much for coming by the store! It's always great when we can help someone find something for their collection. We all love the channel, keep up the great work. Come back soon!

I appreciate that. Have a great weekend! One of these days I'll do some major game hunting in Florida too. 🤘
Thank you for making us discover the State of Oregon. Greetings from Québec, Canada
Thanks for watching!

Really loved this series as a Oregon native and growing up in Coos Bay, it was really cool to see all the places I loved going!
I would have loved to stay an extra day or two in the Coos Bay Area. So chill and beautiful

That Patrick Star PlayStation controller at 7:41 is everything 😍
How can u not love metal jesus? Man is so passionate with his hobbies
Metal Jesus is a Helloween fan! A man of culture
Rock you to hell, packin' up and shippin' out
Rock you to hell, hear them scream and shout

A fantastic trilogy of videos. You crushed it, man. Thank you for sharing this with us!
It really looked like you guys had a fun trip! Thank you MJR for bringing all of us along for the ride! Can't wait to see the pickups video next!!!!!
My grandfather owned a record store in Brooklyn, NY from the 1950's through mid 70's. Most of the inventory was sold off before he retired but I bet he had some now valuable titles in the shop. He knew the real Sam Goody!
You guys are the best. Thank you for sharing your love and enthusiasm for gaming. It makes me smile in a big way. :)
I absolutely love when you document these trips… so much fun to watch. You are a ninja at editing too, really capture the feel of the road….Can’t wait for the next trip!
Thanks so much!!
Rebecca looks like she is either a really sweet school teacher or a really fierce realtor.
You should have her in your videos more!
You are correct about the fierce realtor. She's very nice, but during negotiations, you don't wanna be on the other side. 😂

When you make recommendations, I listen. 😉
It's awesome seeing you tour through Oregon. I love Oregon and it's beauty. There are a couple good retro gaming stores in Salem too.

You are going to have a great time! 👍
Great video as always. I look forward to these type of videos all the time.

Much love from WA coast 🙌🙌🙌

They know you will not be disrespectful to their customers and that you would be great for their business .
I watch you from Brisbane Australia because of how respectful you are and the grounded Wayne's World passion vibe.
Looking forward on watching for years 🤘
I’m currently a student at the university of Oregon in Eugene and have been watching your videos since I was in high school. It’s so cool to see you went to all of the places I go to in my free time to video game and vinyl hunt 🤣
I'm not a record collector but I love record stores like that.
Thanks again Mr Jesus. I'm housebound at the moment with an autoimmune disease that may or may not be temporary. Your videos are bringing me so much joy.
Sorry to hear about the health issues... but hopefully my silly videos can distract ya a little bit from real life. Take care. 👍
Metal Jesus you are one of my favorite video game channels, and now you are my favorite travel channel. I’ve been to Eugene a couple times and loved it. Thanks for bringing back so many good memories of that place.
Wow, thanks! More travel videos coming sooN!
Loved seeing all of these awesome places. Hopefully I'll get to visit some of them sometime!
Oregon state is extremely beautiful and fun to explore. Can't wait to go back.
What an excellent road trip. Thanks for sharing it with us. I always love your visits to the local games/records store, because they're museums in themselves.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very trippy to see metal jesus walking around my hometown and in stores i go to on a regular basis

Also great find on that Alice In Chains vinyl 🤘🏻🤌🏻
Just finished a busy working week and this is the perfect way to unwind
Love hearing you talk about vinyl. Can you make a future video about the rarest/most expensive records in your collection?
I've owned a lot of records for so long now that I do have several that have really gone up in value. Stuff I would not have expected! Might make a cool video Thanks!
I absolutely love the 3 videos you guys made on your trip through Organ. I never realized how beautiful the state of Organ is. It would be great to be able to visit some day.

Do you still play Guitar? 😀

LET'S GOOOO. PERFECT DROP FOR A FRIDAY. THANK YOU MJR!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Most of the goodwill / Salvation Army stores up here in Canada where I’m from anyways have monthly auctions that they place the game systems/ games in their front store windows for people to see and then place their bids in the store.
Wow, this city is where a friend I had 20 years ago is from :)
I'm going to enjoy watching this!
I love growing old with Metal Jesus in my life. Love this channel.
Digging your continued adventures, thanks for sharing!
Glad you like them!
Amazing. That is the goodwill in my town and I have snagged a ton of stuff from there. It was even better before the pandemic.
Sounds like a dream trip to me! Retro games, whiskey bar, and Chinese food!
As a game collecting metalhead who loves traveling, these are my favourite videos!
My current city! How awesome! Glad you enjoyed yourself
I am not even into records but man that store is insane
I like these game hunting videos.
I like the fact that you get good content for your channel and the stores get great advertising.
It's a win win.
A smart store owner should embrace your tour.
I understand how some owners are wary of how a TH-camr may portray their store, but I always try to be respectful and fair. And if they ever told me no (which one has) I am happy to just film somewhere else.
Great video Jason! You had me at Helloween's Walls of Jericho! I loved that album and cranked it back in the day!
Much love from Eugene! Love House of Records
