One more tip if you want some strap rubber material go to rock auto it’s called anti-squeek single sided tape. It works amazing it’s already pre-cut and everything. Isolator.
Yeah i cussed that front bracket last night. Didn't realize it was different either but now i know the easy fix. I was just going to drill out the bracket and bolt through both frame and braket but this sounds like a better option. Thank you
Thanks for this info. I just bought an 87 v20 and wondered how the fuel tank drops out. I'm used to working on newer stuff, but old trucks have a place in my heart because of my dad. Thanks again!!
I'm replacing mine soon but my fuel sender on my old tank has 3 ports and my new sending unit also has two ports like yours - what did you do with the third line that's on the chassis? Love your videos!
I have a 350 TBI in an 87 K20. I think the fuel pump will have to be replaced at some point, I have the full passenger side hanger and pump assembly coming. Hoping it goes a lot like this video because this is the best video on this topic I've found. Thank you!
And you better position your straps in tanks, right because you cannot access the backstrap nut while it’s mounted to the frame you can only get to the front one, so you better get them close and tighten them up before you raise it up or take them in and out twice
The senders are not unisex there is a left and right side the tabs are in different locations once again, make sure you buy a left and a right side sender
