What do you recommend for my gmc 78 k25 4x4 fleet bed I have a 4" lift sit on 35" tires. Can I put a 40 gallon suburban tank or do you recommend I go with the 31 gallon k5 tank?
From the top of my rear diff to bottom of frame is 17 inches From the top of my diff to bottom of fuel tank is 8 1/2 inches The amount of fuel tank over diff is 12 inches so it would have to move rearward 12 inches to not be over axle. The rear mount can be moved to the edge of frame but that only gives you 10 inches. With your smaller lift I would suggest the blazer tank for best clearance.I would mount the rear crossmember at the back edge of frame and use the round bar like I did to spread the load. The front mount do the square tube like I did.The angle iron I started with and what many people use is not a good setup in my opinion based on weight of full tank.
Hi I have a 80 short bed and plan on relocating the fuel fill like you have it in the rear of the bed I was wondering how you ran the filler from the door seems the bed floor is in the way
Awesome 👍👍 keep at it ..it's coming together nicely
Clean install

You will have to cut out a opening in bed side and one in floor.I can post a video of it if that would help.
