We're very close to getting a movie accurate Buzz. The Disney Store has the karate chop and you can press the purple buttons on the sides of the helmet to open it, but you need the wings (with the sound effect when they pop out) and the wrist communicator sticker with the bleeping noise from the Thinkway Collection Buzz which also has the _WHOOSH_ sound effect when the helmet opens. You can get the laser sound effects from either the Thinkway Collection, or the Toy Story 4 remote controlled walking Buzz, I wonder why nobody has done that before.

Since you're making a custom Woody 3.0, would you every consider making a custom Buzz 3.0? Cause I would think it'd be very hard to improve on the ones you already have.
I think the helmet doesn't retract the full way. It's because so like kids don't think the helmet is gone or stuck inside him and they would start crying.
I think there's no room for the helmet to slide down Buzz's head, because of the electronics that are stored inside of his body when it's taken apart. If they were to include the retractable helmet, then the voice samples and sound effects would have to go.

Hmm sounds like you got a bad one and return it to get a new one. Or make sure the screws are all tightened correctly but if you don’t know how to do that.. just return it for a new one.

But it just seems a bit expensive so I was just wondering if buying a signature collection Buzz in a used condition would be a better option? Sometimes I don’t really trust the used ones

Yeah I did that it was a signature collection Buzz I think his body shape was most accurate to movie minus the straighter wings.. I’d mod a cloud if not next best thing is signature
Sorry to say but stores don’t sell collection or signature collection anymore. I think they might come back when and if Toy Story 5 comes out. They seem to only be in stores for the movie promotion then after a year or so they stop selling them. The best times to buy toy story toys was in 2009-2011 (for Toy Story 3 movie promotion) and then in 2019 (for Toy Story 4 movie promotion), outside that time it’s hard to find, only eBay. So they only sell them for fast profit during movie promotional times. I really think it’s just a business strategy to cash out after the hype of a movie release.
I don't wanna bug you for info, but which version of the Collection Bullseye is the best? I've got a good deal lined up for a yellow logo but idk if its eyes or ears are the wrong size or something weird.
White logo, he made a video on it before, the hair doesn’t sit on the forehead it actually stands up, the stitching/line work seems to be better on the white logo

Yeah that’s why it’s a good Buzz in my opinion for modifying.
I like it I didn’t really see any bad things about it like it’s so tall last year I got it I think

I think the official boxes have to have all that stuff on them for legal reasons, but the custom one makes a great movie prop for display

Yeah I wouldn’t do that with Buzz I love the 2 customs I have for him. I may upgrade the Disney store wings with red paint in the future though.
