This Buzz is honestly amazing. Those wings are the most accurate i've ever seen on any Buzz and i love his Arm movements and the fact they go all the way down by his sides
Articulation and wingspan is definitely the biggest highlight of this figure. He can finally do the laser activation pose and his wingspan is finally near 1:1 with the movie length-wise
Thinkway’s will always be far more impressive to me. The fact that it’s an actual TOY and has all the gismos, and retailed for a mere $50 with a movie accurate box. Medicom just cannot match, even though it does look good as a prop.
Patiently waiting for the inevitable upgrade kits to give him pressable buttons, a voicebox, a working laser and maybe even some spring-loaded wings 😅😅
man i'm soo happy you answered me, i really like you man, you deserve the world dude ;) (edit) i'm very proud of you for achieving the ultimate buzz lightyear model :)
Dude, I wanted to customize my Buzz Lightyear, since I turned 14 today june 25th, I got a Buzz from the Disney store, can you recommend where to start??
@@todayigrewup Ooohhhh I get it, I mean, $600 is expensive for one action figure but you made a movie accurate woody that is also expensive and bought a even more expensive Stinky Pet doll, but it's worth it because it helps your channel due to content purposes and it helps other people experience what the movie accurate toys would look like in real life. Honestly I think that you are still doing a good job on TH-cam, I watched your content for almost 4 years and I still think you are the true Toy Story collector.
Oddly enough, my Signature Collection Buzz that I bought from came with straighter wings and a pretty bright glow in the dark, and from what I've seen, most Signatures don't come with these features. And I know 100% it is not a Toy Story Collection version.
The proportions and details look way more movie accurate to me. There is obviously no accurate toy mode face, but the one is kind of close 🤷♂️ maybe Preston can work his magic on that head unit. But I always thought thinkway buzz was too bulky. The price tag is disappointing for something without any electronics, but it is a beautiful piece to look at nonetheless
My favorite Buzz would have to be the “Buzz Lightyear Talking Action Figure - Special Edition” that came out in the Disney Store a few years ago. Matte green movie accurate paint that glows in the dark, push to open helmet, pop-out wings (with LEDs), laser with sound, and speaks Spanish with one of its buttons. Only complaint would be non-movie accurate box and the fact that I had to spend a little over $200 from a scalper since it sold out fast
@@CrispyA113 He's an accurate size to the film. And he's supposed to look like the standard buzz. I never cared for that utility belt. It makes him look more like a flea me market cheap toy.
That looks like one THX Certified Buzz Lightyear figure! Crazy expensive but it’ll be worth it for sure! If it included the Utility Belt from the 2nd one, that would be bonus points for the figure! Amazing job with the wings for sure!
I wonder why they went with that shade of green when they were going for accuracy. If it glowed in the dark it would of been good for photos of it in the dark. The metal parts on the grey joints could of been indented too instead of being flat on the surface. They could of thrown in a lot more faces to swap with. Otherwise it's a really great accurate Buzz. Also I just noticed when watching Al's toy barn commercial that there are a lot of toy mode expressions so maybe the reason why there's a difference isn't from a mistake but from the toy company in canon creating multiple different heads for Buzz so you would have to look at the Buzz you bought carefully for that difference. Maybe that would encourage kids to buy multiple of the same toy. I know we see Andy's Buzz change his expression throughout the films but all those toy mode expressions might be based off what he saw while in the store waiting to be bought or something they know by heart from magic. If Pixar didn't make a mistake then it's like a "spot the difference" game.
It really makes me wonder if before making a toy they get a message saying “you are not allowed to make the toy 100% movie accurate.” Because the final decisions don’t make sense. Like why not a more accurate green? Glow in the dark? Better toy mode expression? It just never makes sense to me. Thanks for your comment.
@@todayigrewup Ideally they'd have not only that but 2 jetpacks where one can fully close and functions as you'd expect while the other has the right size of wings but you aren't able to close it into the slimmer jetpack but that would mean it would look movie accurate. It would give the best of both worlds. The compromise for medicom Buzz is good too so that could be a 3rd jetpack option. The karate chop action could be electronic to save more space in the body to have there be enough room for a fully retractable helmet and the laser can be a small red flashlight instead of a laser pointer since that wouldn't be safe to give to kids. In the earlier movies it looked that way since a laser pointer has a smaller red dot than what you see in toy story 1. Maybe we should rally for robosen to make a movie accurate Buzz that's fully functional since we saw how good they can make their toys. Maybe you can program it to move around and play any sound but the sounds you expect like the woosh of the helmet would play each time you use it. The foot plate can be swappable to have Andy or Bonnie's name. I think that would sell better too since more people have a personal connection to toy story. I like how Buzz is the only toy on the planet where people care about how the battery compartment looks since you can't say that for any other toy out there. Also it's interesting there's a tab on Buzz's helmet when he already has it automatically retract with the push of a button. Can't wait to see your customized medicom Buzz which would look soo good.
I’m at my brothers house in Michigan and he got me this crossover painting with Buzz Lightyear firing his laser at the Xenomorph creatures from alien as well as A Lego Disney 100 tribute camera
Man. So close and yet so far. $600 for No Electronics & No Glow in the Dark. That sucks. The wings & Arms are incredible along with the waist But the body being thinner & he seems a tad shorter and the price. It just doesn't seem fully worth it. For $600 you can build a really good poseable custom figure that can do more. My Ultimate Buzz can essentially do the same posing wise but has all the same features Movie Buzz has and I spent maybe $200 max on him. Which gives you more of a budget to do more with on him. Just a shame on the no electronics. Even simple lights for just the wings would be nice
@@todayigrewup Definitely agree. The wings are incredible & so are the swappable heads & hands. Just definitely not on my list of things to pick up anymore 😂

Yeah i want this soooo bad but I thought at least that the jet pack would unclip hing down and you would see a moveable switch with play and demo and there would be two metal batteries in there that were BnL batteries like come on you could have done that
@@todayigrewup yeah if i cand find some images of him open i look at them and let you know how much room there is for him electronics and pop out wings but even the takara tomy real posing buzz you can take off the jet pack there is no details or a hinge but thats only $108 so I might get that one its way cheaper
i wonder if this will go down in price since the new ROBOSEN Buzz Lightyear is around the same price as this one you are showing and it can do way much more. I cant wait to unbox the Robosen version
It’s basically a takara Tomy buzz with better details. In my opinion, it's not worth spending 500 dollars on a figure without electronic functions or articulations that accurately reflect the movie, not even the wings are retractable. It's a great figure but extremely overpriced.
This is a very neat toy, and well reviewed. I look forward to seeing this one more often on the channel. I'm not getting him though. he's too expensive for my taste. But I don't need it. I have both of my replicas.

There’s always Takara Tomy Real posing Buzz which I feel like is The same size as Collection Buzz especially they made similar toys that look like from thinkway toys in Thailand
Hello Todayigrewup i was wondering if there was gonna be a fanshow this summer bc if so im excited to show you my TMNT stop motion btw i was the guy from last fanshow it was woody plays basketball
Honestly, I don’t like the Medicom Buzz cause it looks exactly the same as the Takara Tomy Buzz. Everything what the Takara Tomy Buzz has, Medicom copied it all but the only difference is Medicom is just an improved version of the Takara Tomy Buzz for $500-$600 which isn’t worth it to me. The body proportions on Medicom Buzz looks a bit off cause it’s not too fat like the collection one and Medicom Buzz doesn’t look movie scale. Collection Buzz is movie scale, Medicom is a bit shorter from being movie scale, the green on Medicom isn’t accurate. If Medicom made the body fat, made the body proportions movie accurate, made it being movie scale and if Medicom also made the buttons to be pressed, added a voicebox, laser light, pop out wings and retractable wings and lights blinking on the wings, karate chop action, fully retractable helmet, play and demo switch on the back compartment with BNL batteries, glow in the dark paint, hands being fixed in the ball joint and giving it a articulated rotating thumb, and movable fingers that are articulated and also a better toy mode face, then, yes, it would had definitely been worth the $500-$600. The voicebox is only a small circuit board that needs to be inside, the laser and wings light are just small LED lights, karate chop action, fully retractable helmet and wings mechanisms are just springs that needs.
I don’t think you’re gonna be able to get all that. Closest you’re gonna get is Disney store buzz, which has the karate chop, light up pop out wings, retractable helmet, and working electronics. The buzz we see in the movies is impossible to make.
Articulation- good, including arms reaching buttons and lowering down well, ball joints- good. Torso- good. Wings- good. The rest is just crap. You spent hundreds of just a Buzz that poses. Looks good. But that’s it.
I know this is collectors item, why can't it be standard action figure? Kids love play with this thing if they made it standard action figure. It only took 30 half quarter decades get perfect one right. It looks great really great. It's missing the working gimics. The rest is okay. Communicator is perfect. The wings are perfectly sized & accurate the movie. Soft waist. Interchangeable hands & faces, ball jointed head & wrists, swivel arms, yup this is perfect. I love this. I don't like without the talking gimics. Laser light, wings popping out at the push button. Its perfect really good. Its missing voice, real working laser, got the communicator, the wings have fold them out manually. Its good quality toy. Is it better than thinkway & disneys? Yes. & No. Better than mattels? Yes & no. What about takara tomy? Its semi similar takara tomys, its not same though. The wings are folded into the bottom, the wings un takara fold in from the sides. The medicom is miles better from the takara, thinkway, mattel, disneys combined. Its definitely giant step up from the others in the past. It took 30 yrs achieve it. They're almost close. Almost close making movie accurate buzz with everything. Patience & time will happen. Just wait til version 3.0 & 4.0 will come. If toy story is still there by after the fifth movie comes around.
@@todayigrewup And worth the money,, for such a small toy maker you will get nice quality. Especially Babyface .I was surprised that it is part metal like in the movie
Hey today I grew up you I like your review on the medicom buzz but just want to say you forgot a buzz Takara Tomy super possible buzz it not as great as the medicom but it was great at the time when it came out

@@CrispyA113not all of them are real screws. It has real ones but also fake ones
Disney store buzz will always be a bit bigger sized
@@todayigrewup man what is wrong with toy companies today?
It would be a good Idea to get the takara tomy buzz and try to make him better than the ultimate medicom!
Not a fan of the takara tomy buzz he has toy measles too many holes on his legs and back side
This is cool thanks !
Welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video 🤠
Probably the closest we will get to a move accurate buzz
Yeah I love it just didn’t love the price tag
were definatly getting closer to that for sure. the correct wing span was the reason I bought this tbh
Hey TGU! I don't know if you saw my comment, but I asked you:
What do you prefer, your V1 JC Penney head or seed toys? Be honest! Thanks!
Seed toys is better than JCPenney
get the figuarts model kit that price no electronics that's insane
Yeah but it’s not movie scale. Movie scale is what I chase like a movie prop.
Hello Todayigrewup i was wondering if there was gonna be a fanshow this summer bc if so im excited to show you my TMNT stop motion btw i was the guy from last fanshow it was woody plays basketball
I might do a one off episode fan show we will see
To infinity and beyond ⚡️✌️♾😁⚡️
🤠🚀👏
He looks so good
I wish I had the money for it
He is too expensive
This is just premium version of takara tomy buzz toy story 4
Yes I can see that but this is super nice especially the wingspan
Still love this Buzz. Best wings from a toy company so far.
I don’t think you’re gonna be able to get all that. Closest you’re gonna get is Disney store buzz, which has the karate chop, light up pop out wings, retractable helmet, and working electronics. The buzz we see in the movies is impossible to make.
Make it function, like buy another one and make it work
I hope so. We can modify this moving forward!
I cannot believe I'm saying this, but... A 2.0 version has been made.
Probably to have the legs be made a tad longer.
What do you mean? Lol
@@todayigrewup I looked online and saw a 2.0 version of the figure.
A Very Nice Review, This is Amazing.👍
Glad you liked it
He looks great and I probably won’t get him way to expensive I’ll just stick with my tarkara tomy buzz figure
Yeah he’s a good replacement for sure
@@todayigrewup definitely
Yo imagine if that came with the utility belt!
Would of been better for sure
Articulation- good, including arms reaching buttons and lowering down well, ball joints- good. Torso- good. Wings- good.
The rest is just crap.
You spent hundreds of just a Buzz that poses. Looks good. But that’s it.
Wait until we custom modify it!
@@todayigrewup you’d better! 💪🥳❤️😂
Will you review the revoltech figures
Probably not I am more into movie scale figures.
are the decals stickers or painted?
Stickers
@@todayigrewup you cant be serious
It’s a great buzz but yes it’s very very expensive
You should review the takara tomy poseable buzz lightyear!
It’s too ugly in the back
This was definitely an improvement over medicom Woody it's not perfect but it's still a good toy and I would give it a 7/10
just once I want to see a fully retractable helmet
Wow buzz is amazing
I agree
What do you think of the Herocross figures?
The Babyface is my favorite
I think they are cool
@@todayigrewup Fans noticed it and it shows,, prices are going up or the figures are sold out
@@todayigrewup And worth the money,, for such a small toy maker you will get nice quality.
Especially Babyface .I was surprised that it is part metal like in the movie
Where do u buy it?
Hobby link Japan website
Hey today I grew up you I like your review on the medicom buzz but just want to say you forgot a buzz Takara Tomy super possible buzz it not as great as the medicom but it was great at the time when it came out
Yeah for sure.
Well maybe because the box is so big because buzz hade all of his accessories and stuff
Will Medicom Buzz Helmet fit on Collection Buzz?
Should’ve came with a removable utility belt
I was thinking of getting this- but are you telling me- you spent god knows how much and the buttons don’t even work?? Wtf.
Yup I’m hoping to modify him
It looks so cool 🆒😎🆒😎
I’m glad you like him also
Too expensive😢 other than that is perfect
Agree with that
It’s awesome
Glad you love him too
Nice but crazy price
Yes, true
@@todayigrewup Found a Woody Buzz action figures and ordered on Ali for a reasonable price
Ultimate Buzz Lightyear
$654.99 in USA
The helmet is not collapsible
Box is not space ship

$700 figure. At that price youre better off getting the one from robosen.
Yeah both are cool for different reasons.
