- For this Uniqlo haul and try on, I ordered about $500 worth of clothing from Uniqlo - everything from shirts and jackets to jeans and chinos. I'll try everything on to show you how it fits, and we'll see if any of it is worth keeping.
For reference, I'm about 5'6" and 120 lbs. And, for the record, I ended up keeping the grey t-shirt, navy turtleneck and grey crewneck sweatshirt.

I'm 5'6" with shoes on and about 123 lbs after dinner. I have a 34" chest; I usually wear XS tops and 28x28 pants (sometimes hemmed to 27").

Hey I work at Uniqlo. Just wanted to let you know that you can always bring your pants back in to any Uniqlo store to get them hemmed regardless if it was an online order or not! Our criteria for hemming is that any lock stitch for pants 20$ and above is free (pants under 20$ would be a 5$ charge for hemming) and blind stitch (which is generally only dress pants) would be 5$ per pants. Generally all of our pants are at least over 20$ unless they are a special markdown price so other than that our hemming is always free. The exception is that up to 14 days after purchase the price for hemming will stay free, past 14 days it will simply be a 5$ charge which is still extremely affordable and way cheaper than getting it hemmed at a private spot. How heavy are you and what size shirts do you wear? I'm 5'6 about 140 and I usually wear medium on a regular basis but I can't decide if I should get small or medium.
Japanese sizes don't have XS. S would fit us well
The uniqlo polo shirt is the best polo I can find. Love the way they put a shirt collar on a polo

I'm thinking about getting my first chinos from them, as well as some t-shirts and a sweater or two. Maybe some flannel, too.
As a short, slim guy I appreciate your comments about how each piece fit or failed to fit. One of the items I purchased from Uniqlo that I really like is their blazer. Can't recall the exact name, but I purchased one in every color. They are washable and great to wear on an airplane and other settings where you want to look a little dressier but not well dressed, if you get my drift.

Best purchase I ever had from Uniqlo was the selvedge slim cut dark wash jean. Insane quality for 50 bucks (30 when on sale)

They have jeans right now they sell as stretch selvedge, but then there also used to be a "Made in Japan" selvedge (not stretch) they sold, but I think they don't anymore... of if they do they don't sell it in Korea, where I live, anymore. Those were dope, though. They were heavier weight denim and raw
Yeah man, I remember what you are getting at. But god bless the stretch selvedge isnt too far behind the old discontinued version in terms of quality
Potato Sir Yeah for sure. I wear the slim stretch nearly every day. Once you get used to that comfort, it's hard to wear other jeans

I'm a fan of their plaid shirts and have 5 (!) actually and they've lasted multiple years and very comfortable. On that basis bought my wife a jumper. It lasted 3 months and lost its shape. Win some lose some.

Yes I do wear Uniglo I actually stumbled across them on accident when I was in Japan and was looking for some clothes that fit me great good Quality and the prices are really affordable I would definitely recommend people try them!Just check the website and they do offer free alterations online.
Those Airism undershirts are great. I have a few of the vnecks, in gray and the beige (skin) color.
Big fan of their dark blue "slim stretch" jeans, and Ultra-light down jackets, too.

I do love their crew neck t shirts. I liked the olive pants
I love the skinny chino from Uniqlo. Their fit is perfect for me and the material is soft and comfortable, though I do need to hem them. I've also tried their v-neck jumper and long sleeves t-shirt and they fits well. One down side about Uniqlo, they somehow do shrink a lot more comparing to other brands.
Overall, I enjoy the clothing from Uniqlo and they are pretty minimal and affordable.
If you don't mind me asking.....How tall are you? Cause I'm thinking of buying the Chinos but if they fit the way it's fitting on Brock (I'm also a modest man) then I'm not interested.

i love the MA-1 blouson and the package dry crew neck i have all of the colors of that and thats only 290php in PH. thats my day to day wear.

you and I are the exact size, weight and all. yes their skinny chinos are still roomy on me as well. and their shirts are a lil boxy for me too. I wish they kept the asian sizing or have the option to do order them. i'm trying to find a brand that has the look, quality, and price between jcrew and h&m. uniqlo falls in that category, but the only thing that fits me best are their outerwear. kind of a bummer. love your channel.
Turtlenecks are especially good for layers. Really like the brown long sleeve crew. Good survey of that brand.

Great video! Definitely Uniqlo is not just for short sizes. I am 6´1¨, their XL sizes fit me pretty much perfectly. The only thing that did not fit me were their XL slim-fit sacos, too tight for my belly :) Bought some linen shirts, also a supima tshirt, which by the way has a perfect neck hole size. Got their beige rain coat, awesome clothing and prices overall. Looking forward to your recommendations from any upcoming similar try-on video with Uniqlo

I got that dry stretch dark grey sweatshirt , fits good on my build. I got a whole bunch of there stuff from before when they had just 1 store in soho, all their XS & S were on point now not so much
Hey Brock! Thanks for this Uniqlo review. I've been looking a proper fitting t-shirts for several years now. My main issues are with the neck (I hate a large neck opening), the sleeve width (I prefer narrow), and the overall length (most are way too long for me). After watching your review, I ordered a few of the Uniqlo Supima cotton t-shrits in extra small and small. Both actually fit me quite well. They are very soft and launder beautifully. I don't know how they'll hold up over time, but for now, I'm very happy and am ordering more. I just wish they would be be a bit more exciting in their colors. I also wanted to try the active long-sleeved crew neck shirt, but I was not successful in finding it on the site.

My first pair of chinos I've ever gotten was from h&m but when I got my second pair of chinos from uniqlo I instantly felt that the h&m one was a scam. I'm probably going to get a third one from uniqlo some time soon.
You have to go to japan. Im probably the same size as you in tshirts, and i got the long sleeve soft touch mustard color tee in a medium of the japanese size and it eve a bit small. Almost all the clothing in japan fits smaller guys. Even dress shoes that are hard to come by at a size 6.5 or 39 eur.
Love this brand for casual tops, but I can never find a bottom that fits right. I like this style of video. A moving model kinda makes shopping online easier, and your color palette is always on point.
My favorite was the navy turtle neck sweater 👍🏻

at 5'7, 150lbs, Uniqlo is kind of my go-to for most basics. I love buying from them and they probably make up half of my closet

Thanks for doing this! I’m very similarly built as you are and FYI Uniqlo in Asia offer a lot shorter inseam and sleeve length. I have to wear at least medium or large, but here in US stores their sizing is a lot bigger and I usually go for small, which is still a little baggy.

Love Uniqlo stuff. I am a 34 inch inseam which is convenient, but I am also in Sydney so I can get stuff hemmed if need be.
You should try out Muji, I am not sure if they adjust their sizes too in the US but in Australia I am a XXL, I am L/M at Uniqlo. Japanese sizing for sure and their stuff is arguably better than Uniqlo.
the soft touch long sleeve shirt does shrink a bit in the wash-- but in a good way. I just got two of those and the day I got them I wore one and put the other in the wash. now they're hanging next to each other and the washed one is noticeably shorter in the sleeves and torso.

I too have found that their button down shirts just don’t have a nice slim fit cut like h&m shirts do. I only have a long sleeve T-shirt from Uniqlo which once again the S size fits ok but a little loose whereas every other brand I fit into S rather tight.

I just became familiar with the brand after Federer switched from Nike apparel to them. I found 3 pairs of jeans in my size for 5.90 a pair on their site. I have a white pair coming also even though I’ve never owned white pants or jeans. I’m in Chicago, and there’s a store on Michigan Avenue that I can go in and look around. It’s hard to find my pant size in most stores (40ish x 34). I actually liked the way American Eagle jeans and pants fit, but they phased out my size. They carry up to 38 in stores.
I’ll probably buy a lot more from them if the jeans work out. But long sleeve tops I’d definitely need to try. I don’t see any tall sizes on their site.
Uniqlo is my go to choice.
Im 5-8 and uniqlo is my go to shop. Size small fits me fine. The only issue with me is the sleeves on their button up shirts are one inch too long for me. Also i found in Australia it's hard to find 28 inch waist skinny fit jeans in uniqlo or anything under 30. Top man do great slim fit t-shirts give them a try.

This is why me and this brand have a love and hate relationship. The style and quality is usually great, but the fit is hit or miss. That's why you should always have a tailor in mind when shopping at Uniqlo imo. Great video though.
I'm also 5'6 but weight lift would you suggest I go for something that'll fit me in length like the xs or solely go for what my chest size is?

Great video, Brock. The turtle-neck sweater and bottle green trousers suit you really well. Have you thought about looking at other Japanese brands such as Beams+ ? I've noticed that the shirts are shorter than American/European brands so might be of interest. It's definitely priced at the premium end, but the quality is high.
If you order online, you can still get it hemmed for free. Just go to your store. They dont even need the receipt; you just have to show your tags (although they'd prefer if you do show the receipt)

Uniqlo shops in Asia (I live in Taiwan) still doesn't have smaller sizes for jackets and shirts unfortunately. I'm 5'5 and about the same built as you but I can only buy T-shirts in Uniqlo here. I recently bought a denim jacket in Uniqlo, it kinda fits hehe.
Also, another Japanese brand, Muji, has some XS shirts that fits me perfectly, I don't even need to tuck in, you should check them out ^ ^

Hi Brock, I like your channel a lot because i am a small guy too, about 5' 5'' and about 130-135 lbs year round. I usually wear size small for everything in most brand. But a lot of your videos, size XS fit a 5'6'' and slightly lighter guy a lot better. I workout regularly and my chest size is about 34 inch. I have trouble to choose size for topcoat and suit because i am not sure size XS or S, for suit: 34S or 36S fit me better. I would like to ask for your recommendation and want to know your chest, shoulder measurements, and suit size. Thanks!

you can still get the pants hem from a Uniqlo store. You just need the receipt for proof of purchase

i cant find a 28 inch waist jeans or chino or any trouser, s or xs size seems taylor made for me but still sometimes xs is tight around the chest or S is longer .. what should i do? :( and yes, suggest me a pair of shoes i could wear everywhere i live in a place with a lot of dirt so do avoid white sneekers.. thanks
I'm about your size and just love that they sell XXS. Which is basically an asian Medium... But yeah, bought a bunch of XXS and the fit is perfect for what I was looking for... VERY hard to find these days.

A shame there’s just one store in Germany so far. When I lived in China that was the store I went as they wear the only one where I could find cloth in my size. Feeling somehow nostalgic right now
are you going to try some japanse uniqlo clothes? you mentioned the olive shirt's shoulder seams hanging off your shoulders but that kind of stuff + a wide torso and longer sleeves are trademark japanese cuts (not in the case of this shirt haha) I'm curious on how it would fit on you because of your body shape.

I have an old Medium sized shirt that is bought a year ago that fits me really well, but this year when I went back to uniqlo to find shirts, the sizing has changed. Now every shirt is way too long at the torso, long sleeved and shortsleeves all the same. very dissapointing.

If I’m 5’19 and I want the skinny stretch chinos do I need to hem it if I am a 32 in inseam? Uniqlo is 34 in inseam but does the sizing differ from Asia and US? In other words am I a size 34 in Asia?
